Farming with Entries: From Lord to Emperor

Chapter 233: Mutation (Part 3)

"For example, the Snow Rabbit People have found stable work at Black Pine Ridge, so the entire tribe no longer needs to wander in the wild."

"I originally wanted to recruit more Snow Rabbit People, but they were all slaughtered by the Lizardmen."

Durant sighed and shook his head, his tone full of helplessness,

"These Lizardmen have thrown the Northern Wilderness into complete chaos, so I had to exterminate them."

"It's just a pity I don't know where their lair is."

"They deserve to die!"

Seronie said viciously, "I can help you find them and wipe them out completely!"

"Oh?"

Durant looked at Seronie in surprise,

"That would be wonderful. As long as you're willing, we could cooperate. I can also pay you for exterminating the Lizardmen!"

"No need for payment, I just want to avenge my clansmen!"

Seronie's words were icy, and she exuded a fierce killing intent from her entire body.

If not for Durant's imposing presence holding them back, Durant and the others would have already involuntarily retreated.

However, at that moment, a rumbling sound interrupted this killing intent.

Durant furrowed his brows tightly, gripping his longbow,

"What sound is that?"

Durant swept his gaze across the front, but found no target.

"Rumble..."

Another rumbling sound, and Seronie's fair cheeks suddenly flushed red,

"Sorry, Lord Rod, it's my stomach."

"I've been too busy chasing Lizardmen and haven't had the chance to hunt."

"Ah, it's no issue."

Durant smiled and turned to look at Gang Le, "Give Miss Seronie some of our military rations."

After speaking, Durant glanced back at Seronie's figure,

"Wait, make it three servings."

Gang Le usually eats two servings.

Seronie didn't understand what Durant and Gang Le were saying, looking bewildered.

Kael took the initiative to translate: "Chief Seronie, our Lord said he would prepare food for you, the best food our soldiers eat."

Seronie's eyes lit up, her right hand placed over her chest in salute,

"Thank you, Lord Rod, for your generous gift."

"We're already comrades in arms; a little food is nothing."

Durant waved his hand casually.

Gang Le quickly returned from the back with three servings of military rations, and Durant pointed at Kael,

"Kael, give them to the Chief, then ask if she has any needs."

"Yes, my Lord."

Kael took the rations with both hands and walked towards Seronie.

At that moment, footsteps sounded from behind, and a guard reported: "My Lord, Baron Camille of the Ice Breath Hills has arrived."

Durant immediately turned around and looked at Camille.

The moment Camille saw Durant, his eyes lit up, and a smile appeared on his cold, frosty delicate face,

"Thank you for all your efforts in coming to our aid!"

Camille bowed deeply to Durant, "Thank you very much."

"Exterminating the Lizardmen is something every Lord of the Northern Wasteland should do."

Durant nodded in response, saying calmly, "Furthermore, you stayed to guard it, already fulfilling our cooperation agreement."

As "bait," the Ice Breath town attracted the Lizardmen's attention, giving Durant time to mobilize troops to launch a surprise attack on the Lizardmen, inflicting maximum damage on them.

If the Ice Breath Town had easily surrendered, Durant's troops might not have made it in time.

Camille smiled, nodding again in acknowledgment, and politely asked in a low voice, "May I speak with you alone?"

"Sure."

Durant quickly walked to the side, with Vivian closely following.

Camille's face froze, "This lady..."

"My personal guard, she knows all my secrets."

Durant assured in a calm voice, "Rest assured, she can hear everything you tell me."

Camille looked surprised, glancing at the partially masked Vivian, his speech tinged with envy,

"Such a young and beautiful personal guard, the talents around Baron Rod are truly abundant."

Camille sighed lightly, "I can't find such a talented girl to keep by my side."

"Just luck."

Durant replied casually, asking, "What did you want to discuss with me?"

"Ah."

Camille retracted his gaze from Vivian, softly saying, "Thank you for saving us this time."

"Ice Breath Town has nothing to offer you, except we found a copper mine near the Serpent's Tail Canyon to the east, and I can grant you twenty years of mining rights."

"Hmm?"

Durant was slightly taken aback.

A small mine would be mostly excavated after twenty years, and even a medium mine would have its surface completely extracted in that time.

The deeper mining is much harder, and many major lords wouldn't want it.

Camille's action was akin to giving him the mine.

A new mine, and Camille generously gave it to him like that?

Durant didn't make a statement quickly, looking at Camille and asking doubtfully,

"Baron Camille, what do you want?"
