Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 231: Hell's Invasion

David returned to the Wizard World and immediately began his resource collection plan.

He knew that time was pressing and he needed to stockpile as much as possible before the threat from the Ice Hell fully manifested.

First, he contacted the Black Mages with whom he had contracts, especially Carl, who controlled the Lonely Whale Market, to have them acquire resources by any means.

From rare herbs and magic ore to powerful magic scrolls and equipment.

As long as it could be purchased, even at a slightly higher price, he needed to secure it.

Once the news from the Wizard Alliance Expeditionary Army returned, panic would spread rapidly, and he had to complete his transactions before the market fell into total chaos.

He began to shuttle between various cities, using his wealth and influence to buy large quantities of items that would become extremely valuable during the war.

At the same time, he increased his investment in the defense of the Wizard Castle.

He purchased a large number of defensive magic items, reinforcing the castle's magic barrier to ensure the base remained secure even if war broke out.

He also paid special attention to some unique resources, such as magic potions that could enhance the Witches' power and magic array maps that could bolster defenses.

In the coming period, if he wanted to boost his own strength, he had to have the Witches quickly break through to the First Ring to help him complete dual cultivation.

Originally, David had intended to go to the Wizard Alliance Branch to bring back Ye Zi, but as tensions mounted, all Alchemists were being protected.

In times of war, Alchemists were the greatest asset of the alliance, and at this time, all Alchemists were well protected, making it difficult for David to meet them.

After confirming Ye Zi's status through their spirit connection, he let Ye Zi remain at the rear of the Wizard Alliance, as it was also an opportunity for her.

Thanks to Ye Zi's terrifying talent and a large volume of potion assistance, her strength had already reached the First Ring and she was striving towards the Second Environment Realm.

Given enough time, Ye Zi could potentially become the first Witch to reach the Second Ring, a benefit of being backed by an organization.

While collecting resources, David did not forget to gather intelligence.

He dispatched some trusted spies to collect information about the Expeditionary Army, as everything was still his conjecture and needed verification.

He needed as much information as possible to make the right strategic decisions.

As time went on, David's resource collection gradually began to bear fruit. Warehouses filled with assorted resources, and the defenses of the Wizard Castle saw significant improvement.

But he knew this was just the beginning, and the real challenge lay ahead.

....

Deep within the Ice Hell, in a vast ice crystal hall, a cold aura pervaded the surroundings.

The hall was constructed from ice blocks that shimmered with a blue glow, exuding a suffocating chill, while layers of frost covered the floor, evoking a sense of endless solitude.

In this cold and dark space, a group of Ice Demons sat around a circular conference table carved from a massive block of ice.

At the center of the table swirled a mass of frigid air emitting an eerie blue luminescence, seemingly the source of their power.

"We must accelerate our plans!"

Renzo Corado, the King of Ice, sat at the central seat, tall and imposing with a stern expression.

He broke the silence in the hall with a sharp and low voice: "The Wizards of the Wizard World have already begun to sense our presence, and other Abyss Demons have taken action."

"Humans are always so foolish," a gaunt, sullen-faced Demon sneered.

"They think they can rely on that faint light to resist our power, but we will make them understand they are nothing more than insects."

Another Demon appeared more excited, waving his arms and speaking loudly: "All Ice Demons can invade the Wizard World directly, shaking the entire world with fear and despair!"

The Ice Demon Lord Renzo murmured softly, "Directly entering the Wizard World is not a wise move. There are many powerful Wizards in that world who will not easily succumb to fear."

He smiled slightly, "Instead, we should choose to manipulate from the shadows, letting them first fall into mutual suspicion and conflict."

"What is your plan?"

A bloated and cumbersome Great Demon asked, eyes gleaming with desire and greed.

"By leveraging those humans driven by hatred, we can sow discord and plunge the entire Wizard World into chaos," the King of Ice said slowly.

"Meanwhile, this also buys us time to awaken more powerful companions from their slumber."

The atmosphere in the conference room grew increasingly tense, each Ice Demon began to discuss the concept fervently, some even excitedly pounding the table.

In this grim and terrifying place, the intertwining of cruelty and passion revealed their respective disdain and greed for power and conquest.

As the discussion continued, the swirling, ominous atmosphere of cold seemed to intensify, as if responding to the discontent and anticipation of these fierce and hungry souls.

...

Bright Continent.

The entrance to the Ice Hell emitted a low and screeching rumble.

The surrounding air seemed to be torn apart, and a howling cold wind surged forth, mixed with a piercing chill.

At that moment, several figures emerged from the passage, enveloped entirely in ice blue light.

"The portal is finally open!"

The Ice Demon Commander Aijia spoke in a low, hoarse voice, eyes gleaming with cunning.
