System: Build My Own Territory

Chapter 184: Soul Invasion (10000 Words) (Part 2)

Lynn responded and strode towards the dining table.

Let Red and Kuisi sit down and enjoy breakfast together.

Lynn held a fork in his right hand, placed a square piece of golden pork into his mouth.

After chewing a few times and swallowing it, he said, "Kuisi, have the kitchen in the canteen arrange a banquet tonight."

"Let the townsmen who have been busy for a year celebrate well, after all, tomorrow is New Year's."

Kuisi nodded in understanding, "Okay, Master, I'll arrange it right away."

Lynn continued, "Have the cooks in the castle also prepare a sumptuous dinner."

"I need to host a banquet for the foreman captains in the town."

Kuisi nodded again, "Yes, Master."

After giving instructions, Lynn continued to enjoy his breakfast.

Ten minutes later.

Once Lynn finished his meal and his stomach was thoroughly filled, he felt his whole body become warmer and more comfortable.

At that moment.

A sound of footsteps climbing the stairs was heard.

Red, who had also finished breakfast, immediately looked over.

Only to see a guard walking briskly, stopped a few meters in front of Lynn, bowed, and spoke with great respect.

"Master, the soldiers saw Mr. Boer in the wasteland outside the city walls and brought him back."

Lynn was somewhat surprised, he said, "Boer is still alive?"

The guard had no hesitation, "Still alive, Master."

"He is now waiting for a summon downstairs."

Lynn responded, "Bring him up then."

The guard said, "Yes."

The guard bowed and exited.

A few minutes later.

Two guards brought a man whose body was damp, hair disheveled, and face stained with dirt marks, into the hall.

Despite the anthracite in the fireplace providing warmth in the hall.

The man's body was still trembling uncontrollably.

In those eyes, there was a profound fear and trepidation!

Following behind the man was Mike, whom Lynn had seen before.

With a thought, Lynn looked at the trembling man's information panel.

It was indeed Boer Hansen.

Lynn spoke, "Mr. Boer, I didn't expect we'd meet again."

Boer's face was filled with bitterness, he spoke somewhat fearfully, "Master Lynn, I didn't expect to be alive either."

Lynn spoke, "People can be trained again, goods can be purchased again, but if you lose your life, you truly lose everything."

Boer and Mike instantly thought of Ryan and thirty guards.

Boer took a deep breath and explained, "Master Lynn, your territory has been targeted by a mysterious force!"

"Although I don't know exactly what force, I know there is a witch in that force!"

"Because I saw with my own eyes, a completely black woman's silhouette condensing and stepping out from the darkness."

"And under my gaze, entered into my body!"

Lynn's brows furrowed, "Entered into your body?"

These words hadn't been mentioned by Fan Ke.

Not only Lynn, but Red and Mike's eyes also widened slightly.

Boer nodded and continued, "Yes, Master Lynn, forced into my body, and my spirit waned as if I hadn't rested for days, falling asleep."

"Afterwards, I know nothing about what happened."

"Before being found by soldiers from your territory, my memory stopped at being tied to a tree in the forest…"

Lynn nodded, looked at Kuisi beside him, "Find Mr. Boer a set of clean clothes."

Kuisi bowed without any words and exited.

A moment later.

Kuisi returned, carrying a thick robe made of coarse wool.

Taking the coarse wool robe, Boer gratefully looked at Lynn, "Thank you, Master Lynn, then I'll return to Morgan Town..."

Lynn responded, "Prepare two horses for Mr. Boer."

In Boer's grateful bow, he left the hall with Mike.

Regarding Lynn not going out to rescue him, Boer never mentioned a word.

Mike, following at his side, dared not say anything either.

For after the battle to guard the city, Mike knew that Master Boer's life is life, just as the soldiers' lives are also lives.

Everyone was alive, no one wanted to die.

A moment later.

Two figures riding horses left the castle, passed through the town, and galloped toward the distant forest.

Standing on the balcony watching for a few moments, Lynn withdrew his gaze and walked down the castle, heading towards the workshop district.

The rain mixed with snow had already lessened, leaving only rain occasionally dripping, not affecting the daytime labor.

Lynn's mind was pondering the words Boer had just said.

A witch who can forcibly enter and occupy someone's body...

Such an ability, if left without any restriction, to enter anyone's body anytime... indeed quite terrifying!

With his thoughts turning, Lynn thought he could inquire of Old John.

Being a former priest of the Church, he might know some information.

Without hesitation, Lynn stepped forward, heading towards the hospital.

A few minutes later.

Lynn entered the hospital.

In the bright and clean hospital hall, there were more than a dozen people being treated for minor injuries.

These people were the soldiers responsible for guarding the city.

Upon seeing Lynn, they quickly stood up and reverently called, "Master Lynn."

Lynn nodded slightly.

Turning his gaze, he looked towards Old John who was treating soldiers in the treatment room.

Despite having apprentices, those who had not fully mastered herbal treatment could only assist Old John.
