The second I see her, I start bawling.
Sarah pulls me into her arms and hugs me close, "Sorry, it took me so long to get back. Assholes killed my drake."
Hollis bounces up to the Hero, "Hello Sarah! So good to see you! We were so worried when we couldn't find you!"
"Yeah, sorry about that." Sarah runs her hands through my hair, making sure to pay special attention to the base of my horns, scratching there gently, "I wasn't sure if I would be attacked again, so I played it safe and stealthy. Took me a while to recover from that ambush and crash landing too, probably wouldn't have lived if I wasn't god touched."
Pirous gives her a respectful nod, "I am pleased to see you safe. Excuse me, I have a mess to clean up in town." The General hurries out of my room and up through the maze of tunnels.
"Sarah…" I sob, my tears already soaking into the Hero's shirt.
She smiles down at me, gives me a quick peck on the head, and leads me over to the couch to sit, "It's okay, you're okay."
"I w-was so w-worried about you!" The words hiccup out of me, "A-and I lost so many vess. Enna is g-gone."
"Uh?" Sarah shoots Hollis a questioning glance.
Hollis adopts a sad smile, "I'm afraid it's true. Caretaker Enna has fallen in battle."
"So, what does that mean?" Sarah furrows her brow, "I mean, can't she just be summoned again? What happens after a vess dies?"
"They return to the Colorless Realm, of course!" Chirps the magi.
"What's that? Can she come back from that?"
"The Colorless Realm! It's like," The fluffy vess scratches the base of their horn in thought, "It's like how the Void God has control over the Void and can manipulate it at will. Our Fair Lady controls the Colorless Realm."

"Sounds pretty similar." The Hero shakes her head and continues rubbing small comforting circles on my back.
"Sarah! It's really not!" Hollis almost sounds offended, "The Void God's realm was empty and cold, a dead place. Our realm is full to the brim with life! Life as far as the eye can see!"
"So, does the Golden Goddess have a realm?"
"Of course, the Golden Palace!" The fluffy vess bounces happily. They really like answering questions.
"Huh. Hey, hey, Ren it's okay. C'mon, I know it hurts. Did you try resummoning Enna? It doesn't sound like she's gone."
I cry a little harder and shake my head.
"I'm afraid it's not that simple." Hollis explains, "Caretaker Enna will be significantly weakened from her defeat. It takes a not insignificant amount of mana to manifest in this world, only possible thanks to our Fair lady. So, she won't be able to answer the call, even if the summoning were to happen."
"Shhh, Ren it's okay. We're going to figure this out." My human friend hushes me, pulling me fully into her lap to cuddle, "So, how do we get Enna back? Do we just have to wait for her to recover?"
The Magi plops down next to us, "That is one option. The only other way I can think of is just going and retrieving her ourselves. I'm sure I could share enough mana with her to manifest her again."
"Okay, so we have a plan." Sarah gives me a reassuring squeeze, "See? It's not that bad, you can get her back, no worries."
"And besides! Look at you!" She peels my tear stained face off of her and holds me by the shoulders, "My little baby sister, all grown up!" She teases me.
My tears ease up, replaced by a growing blush. My evolution changed my body again. I grew! Not much, but now I'm only a head shorter than Sarah. My hips and boobs have finally arrived and I'm starting to look mature, a little baby fat stubbornly hangs on to me, but overall, I'm really happy about it.
"None of my clothes fit anymore." I whine, fidgeting with the hem of my now too short shirt.
Sarah laughs, poking me in my exposed stomach, "I'll say! Look at that cute, exposed tummy!" The Hero advances her pokes into a full blown tickle attack, sending me giggling helplessly.
She quickly relents, letting me catch my breath. I blow the hair out of my face and pull my shirt down with a blush, it rode up a lot just now. "Thanks Sarah, I feel a little better."
Sarah smiles warmly and hugs me again. "Don't worry! No matter how big you get, you'll still be cute!"
"I wasn't worried about that!" I giggle.
