Beast Taming: Reincarnated With The Ultimate Bond System!

Chapter 109: Chapter : 109 : This Is Exhilarating!

Both sides took their stance.

Kairi leveled her katana at Arisha, one hand resting on her hip in that effortlessly cocky katana-user posture.

Arisha gripped her blade with both hands, knuckles white, focus unshaken.

Nivara stepped toward Aiden, her arms swirling in graceful circles.

"What's she doing?" Luna frowned, her back pressed against the wall with the others.

"You'll see," Seraphina giggled knowingly.

Aiden's eyes followed the motion… or rather, the distracting bounce of Nivara's chest. He forced his gaze up, jaw tightening. *Focus, idiot.*

In an instant, twin needle-like weapons of pure energy bloomed into Nivara's hands. The long, dagger-sized constructs tapered to lethal points, loops at the hilt for her fingers to spin and whip them with terrifying speed.

"What the hell…?" Aiden muttered.

"Nini! Go!" Seraphina cheered, bouncing on her toes.

"H-Huh?!" Luna's eyes widened.

"Luna," Lysandra explained quickly, "Demons can conjure their magic into physical form. The shape is unique to them."

Luna gave a stiff nod, still unsure.

Suddenly, Nivara lunged. Her energy-needles lashed out, whistling through the air—

Aiden's twin daggers appeared in a crackle of lightning, crossing just in time to block her strike.

Nivara hissed, darting in. Her needles cut at impossible angles, one slashing low, the other whipping from above.

Sparks flew as Aiden blocked. "Tch—fast!"

She spun, twisting like a dancer, her hips snapping as the needle slashed for his ribs. Aiden's blade intercepted, sparks cracking with lightning.

"Stop blocking and fall already," she spat, eyes burning.

Aiden gritted his teeth. "Not my style."

Their weapons clashed in a flurry, the sharp clang, clang, clang echoing across the arena.

---

"Mm," Kairi purred, "you're stiff. Nervous, little goblin?"

Arisha's eyes hardened. "Save your breath. I don't fall to tricks."

"Ohhh?" Kairi tilted her head, letting her dress slip just enough to show more cleavage. "Even when I talk about your man?"

Arisha's teeth clenched.

In a flash, Kairi swung. The katana sliced the air, unleashing a crescent of energy.

"Shit—!" Arisha leapt aside, the wave tearing across the arena and splitting a stone wall like paper. Dust exploded.

The wives gasped.

"Did she just—?!" Luna's ears shot up.

"She sliced stone with air!" Ivy squeaked.

The soldiers above cheered, stomping their boots. "Defeat the monster!" Which was obviously pointed toward Arisha and Novara.

Arisha's glare cut toward them, her knuckles white. But she steadied, stance lowering. "I won't let her take him."

---

Nivara's attacks came wild now, her speed relentless. The crowd cheered, soldiers chanting:

"Break him! Break the demon!"

Aiden clicked his tongue. His wives growled.

He twisted mid-block, sliding low, sparks trailing his blades. "Nivara! I don't want to fight you!"

She growled back, needle slashing for his chest. "Then why are you fighting?!"

Aiden caught her strike, their weapons locking. "Because I have an image to keep!"

"What?!"

He shoved her back, lightning sparking. "I can't look weak in front of my wives!"

From the stands—

"Master is the strongest!" Luna yelled, tail puffed.

"Heartlord will never lose!" Nyxion shouted, fangs flashing.

"My King fights with pride!" Thristle's voice cut sharp.

Ivy pumped her fist, Fluffynugget squeaking along. "Onii-chan, show them!"

Seraphina clasped her hands, sighing dramatically. "He's too dazzling. I think my heart just stopped."

The Queen smirked knowingly, eyes fixed on Aiden.

Nivara's cheeks burned red. "Tch… idiot."

---

Kairi licked her lips, her katana resting casually against her shoulder. "Mmm. He's cheering for you, isn't he? Or maybe you're fighting just to impress him?"

Arisha's grip tightened. "I fight because he is my husband. I fight because he is worth it."

Kairi grinned, sharp and cruel. "Then prove it, goblin wife."

She darted forward. The katana blurred, each strike too fast for the eye.

Arisha blocked desperately, sparks flashing with every clash.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Her arms shook. The pressure was insane. Kairi moved like flowing water, every swing fluid, each strike teasing.

"You're strong, but not strong enough," Kairi whispered against her ear mid-clash, hips brushing hers in a mocking grind.

Arisha shoved back, face burning. "Shut your mouth!"

The crowd roared again, soldiers sneering: "Break the monster's blade!"

Arisha's jaw clenched.

---

The wives looked around. The crowds were cheering to 'Break the monster.' 'Break the demon."

Luna gritted her teeth, "These bastards!"

"Want me to kill them?" Nyxion added.

"Calm down." Lysandra said.

"They're so mean." Ivy said, sad.

"Mii~"

---

The chants rose louder—"Defeat the monsters!"—and Aiden's blue eyes snapped to the gallery above.

His jaw tightened.

He flicked one dagger, sending it spinning toward the railing. The soldiers up front leaned forward—

BOOM!

The dagger smashed the railing, shattering it in a shower of sparks. Soldiers stumbled back, falling over each other.

The arena went dead silent.

Aiden coolly raised his hand, and the dagger vanished before reappearing in his grip. "Sorry. My hand slipped."

His voice was calm. Dangerous.

Nivara froze, her chest heaving. Her wide eyes flicked to him, then to the trembling soldiers, then back. Something twisted inside her—confusion, awe, and… respect.

The wives were stunned.

"Master…" Luna's eyes sparkled.

"So cool!" Nyxion practically purred.

"My King!" Thristle gasped, pride swelling.

"Sir Aiden…" Lysandra whispered softly, Leona tugging her sleeve.

"Daddy's amazing!" the child squealed.

Seraphina clutched her chest, cheeks pink. *He… he did that for them. For Nini and her.*

Nivara's lips parted, her heart skipping. "You… idiot."

---

Arisha pressed back against Kairi's onslaught, her blade shaking under the katana's speed.

"You're strong," Kairi whispered, smirk wide. "But you're still just a shadow behind him. A side character in his legend."

Arisha's blood boiled. She roared, swinging her sword with everything she had. "I am no shadow! I am his wife!"

Their blades clashed, a thunderous crack splitting the air. Dust whipped around them.

The wives cheered louder, Seraphina clapping wildly.

"She's burning up," Zera muttered above, smirking.

Vegia folded her arms, eyes narrowing but voice softening. "…She's stronger than I thought."

Ivy squeaked from behind the barrier. "Go Arisha-Onee-Chan! Onii-chan believes in you!"

Arisha's heart pounded. Aiden's voice echoed in her mind—Don't hold back.

Her eyes sharpened. She slashed forward again, no hesitation.

Kairi grinned, wild and excited. "Yes! That's it! Show me your fire!"

Their weapons collided again—sparks, screams, cheers—until the air itself seemed to tremble.

---

Nivara dashed forward, her needles spinning. But her strikes weren't as sharp. Not because she was weak—because she hesitated.

Aiden noticed instantly.

He blocked, sliding past her guard, their bodies close. His voice dropped low. "You're holding back."

She snarled. "Shut up!"

Her needle grazed his arm, but he didn't flinch.

He caught her wrist, holding her still. "You don't hate me as much as you want to, do you?"

Her breath caught.

The crowd booed, soldiers chanting again. "Break them! Crush the monsters!"

Aiden's gaze snapped upward, glare sharp. "Keep talking. Let's see how many more 'accidents' my daggers have."

Silence. Not one soldier moved.

Seraphina's heart fluttered violently. "He's… he's defending her. He's defending Nini."

Nivara's chest rose, confusion flooding her eyes. What… is this feeling? Why does my heart—

She pulled away violently, face burning. "Shut up, you bastard!"

But her voice cracked.

And Aiden smiled faintly.

---

Kairi's swings came harder now, the katana glowing faintly with magical aura. Each slash carried deadly precision.

Arisha's muscles screamed, sweat dripping, but she refused to falter.

"You're stubborn," Kairi smirked. "That's good. I like breaking stubborn girls."

"Try," Arisha spat, her cold general's voice echoing sharp.

The crowd stomped, soldiers jeering, wives shouting louder.

Luna cupped her hands around her mouth. "Arisha! Don't lose!"

Thristle smirked. "Show her what a wife of the King can do."

Nyxion growled. "Cut her down, sister."

Even Lysandra's voice rose. "We believe in you!"

Arisha's chest swelled with pride, her eyes glinting with steel. She roared, blade flashing in a counter strike.

Kairi laughed, wild and hungry. "Yes! Yes! More!"

Their blades clashed again, the ground trembling beneath them.

---

Arisha's sword flew from her grip, spinning high into the air before clattering across the arena stones.

Her eyes widened.

Kairi's grin split wider. "It's over."

The katana swung—not another wave, but a direct slash, aimed to cut her down.

"NO!" Seraphina's voice cracked the air. She bolted forward, feet pounding, golden hair whipping wildly.

Arisha stumbled back, frozen, her chest tight. She couldn't move. Couldn't block.

And then—

"Sera!" the Queen's voice tore out, sharp and panicked.

Nivara's eyes snapped wide. She lunged too, magic flashing at her fingertips. "STOP!"

But it was too late.

The blade cut down.

And then—silence.

Gasps rang across the arena. Everyone's breath held.

In that instant, Aiden's arms locked tight around both Seraphina and Arisha, his broad frame shielding them.

The katana had pierced him.

Blood dripped slowly, pattering onto the stone.

"M-Master!" Luna screamed, her voice breaking.

"Heartlord!" Nyxion's fangs snapped bare, her tail lashing violently.

"My King!" Thristle roared, her voice trembling with rage.

"Sir Aiden!" Lysandra's face drained of color, Leona clinging to her skirts and sobbing.

"Daddy!"

"Onii-chan!" Ivy's little voice cracked, her eyes brimming with tears.

The Queen herself staggered forward, her regal mask broken. "Sera…!" Her voice trembled, her eyes glistening.

Seraphina's whole body shook. She clutched him desperately, her cheek pressed to his chest. "N-no… why… why would you—"

Nivara froze in place, her needles vanishing in sparks. Her breath came sharp, her eyes trembling with a wet sheen. "He… he saved her… he…"

Her lips quivered, tears welling. "You idiot…!"

Arisha clung to him, trembling so violently her nails dug into his clothes. Her tears spilled, her voice breaking into guilt. "Sir… Sir, forgive me… this is my fault… I failed you…!"

Aiden coughed, blood staining his lips—but his voice came firm, steady, as always. "It's fine. It will heal."
