The Paranoid Elf Queen Turned Me Into Her Sister

Ch. 63

63 – My First Battle as a Divine Princess

While the two Divine Children were still debating whether risking the entire team for a single kill was worth it, their respective Divine Princesses had already made the decision for them by stepping forward.

Why overthink it? Just beat the crap out of them!

Young Divine Princesses—especially ones from prestigious families, full of pride and arrogance—were the type who never backed down. Whether or not they usually listened to their Divine Child didn’t matter; in this moment, the instant they caught the scent of a kill, all reason flew out the window.

When the meat’s already in your mouth, are you seriously going to back down?

Hell no. I’m not scared of anything!

So, without hesitation, the two Divine Princesses surged forward.

The one from Team 13 was clearly faster than the one from Team 22. With a mocking glance at her slower counterpart, the male Divine Princess of Team 13 sneered.

A real kill belongs to the strong.

But then his speed suddenly stalled—he was locked in place, unable to move. And in that instant, Team 22’s Divine Princess shot past him.

What the—?! Ouch!

A scorching pain seared across his waist. He looked down to find himself ensnared by a barbed, eerie vine.

No doubt about it—Team 22’s Divine Princess, seeing she couldn’t outpace him, had released her Divine Authority with zero sportsmanship.

“Hehe!” the Divine Princess from Team 22 made a mocking face at him and quickly caught up to the fleeing “Dylin,” swinging her chain hammer down on “his” skull.

With a heavy thud, “Dylin’s” token—hanging from his waist—intercepted the fatal blow. The token shattered, releasing a powerful surge of energy that enveloped “Dylin,” and in the next second, he vanished, leaving behind a disembodied voice that echoed for all to hear:

“Team 30’s Divine Child, Dylin—eliminated.”

“Ahaha, that was satisfying.”

Flush with success, Team 22’s Divine Princess spun her chain hammer with pride. She was quite pleased with her efficient, decisive execution—completely unaware that the Divine Princess from Team 13 behind her was seething.

“You bastard spawn of a stray Divine Princess!!” the Divine Princess from Team 13 cursed furiously. Grabbing his short blade, he charged straight at her, ignoring his Divine Child’s desperate cries of “Don’t engage! Stay calm!”

“He used his Divine Authority to bind me, and I’m supposed to just take it?! Like hell! I’ve never been humiliated like this—not since I was born! He’s going straight to meet Kadikanto!”

(One of the Seven Saints, god of funerals and death)

Eyes blazing with fury, he swung his blade, determined to take down Team 22’s Divine Princess with him.

Seeing this, the Divine Princess from Team 22 quickly stepped back and reactivated her Divine Authority—[Demonic Binding Vines]—to try and restrain him again.

But Team 13’s Divine Princess was no pushover either. Fueled by rage, he broke free, activating his own domain and Divine Authority. Blades of air slashed through the magical vines with ease.

“Divine Authority—[Bladed Severance]!”

His eyes blazed red—he had completely lost control.

Stealing my kill and using Divine Authority to do it? You think I’m going to let that slide?

With his domain fully active and his blade howling through the air, he launched a relentless assault, forcing Team 22’s Divine Princess into a panic. She quickly called for backup.

A crack of lightning streaked across the battlefield, blasting into the charging Divine Princess from Team 13, hurling him backward. His domain was now signed with blackened scorch marks.

Team 22’s mage stepped forward, scrolls still glowing in his hands.

“You’ve gone too far!” Enraged at seeing their teammate overwhelmed, Team 13 couldn’t take it anymore. The entire team charged in to support him.

Seeing this, Team 22 followed suit—everyone entered the fray.

At this point, both Divine Children knew it was too late to stop the fight. Grudges had been formed, and the momentum had already been ignited by those two reckless Divine Princesses. A team fight was inevitable.

This wasn’t going to end until one side was completely eliminated.

Let’s just hope no one swoops in to pick up the pieces...

Swords clashed, lightning crackled, fireballs exploded, Divine Authorities and magic tore through the air. The two squads that had been chasing Teresa were now locked in a chaotic brawl, having completely forgotten their original target.

That’s the thing with people—once emotions flare, calmness vanishes. And when you lose your cool, you forget what you’re doing. Coordination? Gone. Strategy? Gone. What remained was a total mess of haphazard brawling.

The fire had been lit.

Watching this unfold, Teresa didn’t show any particular satisfaction. She calmly shifted her gaze toward the forest.

She knew this was just the appetizer—whittling down the competition a bit. The real threat hadn’t shown itself yet.

Team 57 still hadn’t made a move. Of course, they were already here—they were just sitting back, watching like spectators, waiting for the fight to end so they could reap the benefits.

Before long, the battle was over.

The surrounding field had been “trimmed” by the chaos—grass flattened, scorched by fireballs and lightning. A battlefield’s makeover.

The fight ended with Team 22 emerging victorious.

But even though they managed to wipe out Team 13, the cost had been steep.

From the four-person team:

The ranger-class Divine Princess had died during the charge.

The Divine Child, who had been in the back feeding intel, got wiped out by an unknown AOE.

The heavy-assault Divine Princess, with her taunting face, had been the enemy’s priority and went down early.

Only the mage remained.

And just before taking down the final enemy, that mage had been slashed by the enemy’s Divine Princess. The blow wasn’t fatal, but as a frail spellcaster, the damage was enough to crack his token wide open.

When the adrenaline faded, the mage staggered to his feet, dazed.

Was it really worth it... this whole fight?

Just then, he noticed his hands had been bound—entangled by dark, thorny vines.

Eyes wide, he looked up to see three people emerging from the forest.

Irene smiled sweetly as she stepped forward, her whip gleaming with thorns.

“What a show,” said Laro, clapping mockingly.

“Y-you... you...” the mage sputtered.

But before he could say anything more, Irene kicked him to the ground. “You’re really dumb, huh? Did you even think to check if other teams were nearby before starting a fight?”

“Die.” Irene unleashed her domain. Dressed in a black bodysuit and high-heeled boots, she stomped on the mage’s chest and brought her whip down with a gust of wind—shattering his token.

“Didn’t even break a sweat,” Irene murmured, flexing her wrist. She looked at the token and saw only one red dot left.

Her gaze locked on the hill in the distance.

“Alright. Time to greet our old classmate.”

Elsewhere, after confirming that only Team 57 remained nearby, Teresa rose to her feet and untied the long bundle strapped to her back.

The wind blew away the white cloth, revealing a life-sized white longbow.

She leapt down from the hill, her chest proud, steps graceful as she approached the three figures walking toward her.

This would be her first battle as Teresa.

One versus three.
