Hearing this Andrew nodded his head even though Adam could not see him. He left from there immediately.

As per Adam's instructions he bought a new phone on his way. And then he also got the numbers of those people from Adam.

The scene shifts.

And we see all those workers the staff of the bank who were still sitting quietly in a government holding facility. They were all believing Andrew's cover story to be true.

They were now in an investigation room. Where they were being called into a separate room one by one for interrogation.

Most of the junior staff were locked up in one large room like a single jail cell. They had all already made up their minds before they were taken away.

They had agreed that they would all give the same statement to the investigators. "We don't know anything. We will give a statement only after our lawyer is allowed to be present." Because of this unified response the investigation officers and the other government individuals there had become very frustrated.

Then a senior officer spoke. "Did you find anything useful?" This officer had just come inside the main office.

And he was asking his subordinate. The subordinate he asked the question to replied with a frustrated sigh "Sir these people are all stuck on one thing. They are all repeating the same line that they will not say anything until their lawyer comes." Hearing this that senior investigator became very frustrated.

He slammed his hand on a nearby table. "It seems we have to get a little hard with them," he said.

Just then another investigator's phone rang who was sitting at his desk.

Although no one present there noticed this small thing. Because he was also a big officer. His rank in this investigation was the same as most of the other senior officers present here.

He was only one rank lower than the senior officer who had just come inside this office. This investigator's name was Pablo.

He picked up the phone. He said in a low voice "Who is speaking?"

Then Andrew said from the other side of the line "Ten million dollars. And a whole new flat in your wife's name." Hearing this Pablo was very surprised.

His eyes widened. He suddenly stood up from his chair and looking at his team he said "I'll be right back." Saying this he quickly went outside into the hallway.

And he said in a serious tone into the phone "What do you want in return?"

Then Andrew said "Release all those people from the bank. Today." Hearing this a small smile came on the investigator's that is Pablo's face.

He said "For that you have given a very small amount. They are being held on serious charges."

Then Andrew said "Okay twenty-five million dollars. Two new flats in your wife's name. And a shopping mall in your son's name in Solo City." Hearing this new offer Pablo's eyes widened even more.

He took a deep breath and coughed. "Are you serious?" he asked his voice a little shaky.

Then Andrew said "First you give me proof from your side that you are worthy of this deal. Release those people."

Then the investigator smiled. He said "Okay not today but definitely by tomorrow. By tomorrow I will release all those people." But then Andrew interrupted him in the middle of his sentence and said "No. If you have taken so much money then you have to do exactly what I have said. Release those people today. And no force of any kind should be used on them."

Pablo smiled to himself. He said "Don't worry. If you are ready to pay such a large amount then I guarantee that I will have them all released today." Hearing this Andrew felt a sense of peace.

He said "As soon as these people are released from there I will immediately have your amount sent to you in the form of cash. And I will also send the property papers." Hearing this Pablo let out a very deep breath and said "Okay then." And he cut the call and went back inside.

He went straight to the senior officer and said "Sir I want to conduct the investigation of all these people myself." Hearing this that officer looked at Pablo.

He said happily "I just want results. I don't care if you investigate or if anyone else investigates. Just get me a confession." Hearing this that senior officer left from there.

Pablo then looked at all the other investigators in the room and said "Guys I will give you all one million dollars each. If you listen to me." Hearing this they all looked at Pablo with suspicion.

One of them said "One million dollars Pablo. If you are giving us one million dollars each then it means you must have gotten a lot more. We know what you are thinking of doing. The call you just got was from them wasn't it?"

All ten investigators present there stood up from their chairs and stood around Pablo. Pablo was very surprised to see them all united against him.

He said "Okay okay. If I give you more then what will I have left for myself? I can only give you one and a half million dollars each. Not more than this." Hearing this everyone started looking at each other's eyes.

Then another officer said "Pablo just tell us the truth. How much money are you getting in total?" Then Pablo looked at all of them.

He knew he had to be honest. "I am getting eighteen million dollars," he said. "If I give you one and a half million each then I will still have a little left for myself."

Hearing this everyone looked at each other again. Some of them were satisfied with this offer.

While some people were still a little unhappy. Then one investigator officer angrily hit his hand on his own desk and said "How bad is my luck. You got the call and not me." Then another investigator officer stood up.

He said "Everyone this is free money. In my opinion Pablo is right. One and a half million dollars is not such a bad amount." Then another investigator officer stood up. He said "Your point is right. But what will we tell our senior?"

Then Pablo smiled. He said "We will do what we have always done. We will do that this time too." Hearing this they all looked at each other and smiled.

Then Pablo looked at all of them and said "Treat our guests very gently. And yes these people are to be released this evening without telling the seniors. If you want the money." Hearing this everyone looked at each other and nodded in agreement.

All these investigator officers belonged to a government agency that did not look at the powerful banking sector but at the much less lucrative consumer protection sector. In their department they did not get many opportunities to earn so much money.
