The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 107: 107 Ling Xuehong

Shi Feiyang wanted to test Yue Wen's discerning eyes to see if he could recognize his true identity. The result was satisfactory for him, Yue Wen, who would become one of the four major male disciples of the Emei Sect in the future, had cultivated the Mysterious Sect Technique quite solidly. Even he couldn't see through him; it was even less likely for those of the heterodox sects.

"I came here because there is a treasure sealed by a Han Dynasty Immortal," he said indifferently to Yue Wen. "I am breaking the seal to retrieve it. That Bi Xiu above wanted to wait until I took the treasure out and then take advantage of it. He set up eight flags into an array to trap me down here. That's when you came down."

Yue Wen, unable to fathom his depth, let out a sigh of relief upon hearing he wasn't aligned with Bi Xiu. "My name is Yue Wen, and my master is Master Cloudchaser. May I ask how to address you?"

"My surname is Long."

"Master Long, since you are not associated with my fellow disciple, I plead you not to interfere with our affairs. I need to bring him back to face my master urgently. If you ever happen to pass by Heng Mountain, please visit Zhu Lian Cave and allow me to extend my host's courtesies." After saying this, Yue Wen rose upward with his sword control.

"Hold on!" Shi Feiyang pointed with his hand, and the Circulation God Talisman on the Hunyuan Umbrella emitted light, showering a great expanse of golden radiance that suppressed his sword light.

Yue Wen was greatly startled and forced to land again. Holding his sword in front of him, he asked anxiously, "Master Long, didn't you say that you were not with that Bi Xiu? Why are you stopping me now?"

Shi Feiyang pointed upwards. "There is a gathering of the Wutai and Huashan sect demons above. It is more dangerous than auspicious for you to go out now."

As he spoke, he made a sweeping motion with his hand and a clear water-like ripple appeared out of nowhere, displaying images within it—there were mountains, trees, and many Sword Immortals, showing the real-time situation above.

Yue Wen recognized several familiar people in the image. "That's Master Tuo Tuo of the Wutai Sect, Xu Feiniang, Jiang Sangu, He Zhang, and Zhu Hong. There are also Shen Tong and Jin Shenzi of the Huashan Sect, the Rabbit Deity Ni Jun, and a few others I don't recognize, who look like new disciples."

He watched several people speaking and asked, "Master Long, can you hear what they are saying?"

"They are saying they are disappointed that the two of us haven't fought each other and are discussing how to break the Mica Tent above and kill us both to take the treasure."

Seeing that Shi Feiyang was not worried at all, Yue Wen thought to himself. In the past, the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor of Wutai had led a group of heterodox Sword Immortals to Emei Mountain's Jade Maiden Peak for a swordfight, where Master Miao Yi cut off one of his arms. After returning, and feeling the pain, he went to Maoshan to refine the Five Poison Immortal Sword for a second bout. Yue Wen had been there and seen those demon humans. Their Daoist powers varied, but each was ruthlessly malicious. He couldn't help but warn, "Aren't you afraid they'll really come down to kill?"

Shi Feiyang shook his head calmly. "I am not worried."

Yue Wen reassessed him and thought to himself that this person must possess such confidence because his mana was incredibly strong. But just who was this Master Long? He had never heard of such a true master before, one who completely disregarded the many Sword Immortals from both Wutai and Huashan.

He couldn't help but ask again, "Master Long, do you have a method to repel the enemy?"

Shi Feiyang smiled. "Your master will be here soon, and when she arrives, they will start fighting among themselves, and then we can seize the opportunity to escape."

Hearing this nearly made Yue Wen's jaw drop, mixed with a sense of amusement. Turned out this fellow was pinning his hopes on my master! Then it struck him: although his master was highly skilled in mana, she alone couldn't overcome so many powerful opponents on her own. Even just the Mysterious Woman Xu Feiniang was a match for her, and once the demon humans swarmed her, his master, outnumbered, would likely be at a disadvantage.

Unable to gauge Shi Feiyang's depth and judging him to be an exceedingly capable person, Yue Wen thought if he could rope him in to join forces against the enemy, they might not have a great chance of victory, but it would at least offer more defensive leeway.

So, he said to Shi Feiyang, "Master Long, you came here to obtain the treasure but were trapped here by my unworthy fellow disciple with an array. He colluded with the Red Body Sect and the Wutai Sect, betraying his master and sect; it is truly hateful. My master is definitely here to clean house. Those demon humans are greedy for the treasure you have obtained and will surely try to kill you. Why not join forces with us to escape?"

"Do you think it's only right that I should claim this Magical Treasure, and that they shouldn't be snatching it away?" Shi Feiyang asked.

Yue Wen was startled and didn't understand why he would ask such a question, but then she nodded, "Since it's a relic left by our predecessors for those with fate to discover, naturally, since you've obtained it, you are the fateful one. Of course, it would be wrong for them to fight over it again. However, they are known for their arrogance and ruthlessness, I'm afraid they won't reason with you."

Shi Feiyang laughed, "Good, if anyone claims that I shouldn't have this treasure in the future, I'll come to you to speak on my behalf for fairness."

Yue Wen didn't know what he was playing at, but right now she needed allies, so she agreed, "I believe as long as you don't use the treasure to kill the innocent and commit evils, you should indeed be its owner."

"Excellent!" Shi Feiyang said, "Your teacher Xu Feiniang will be here soon. Get ready. When I break the Yaksha Formation, you'll take down the flags. I'll help you kill those four Demon Humans, and then I'll leave, as I have urgent matters to attend to. Killing those four should suffice. This is not the time for a swordfight, and we're near Hua Mountain. When the time comes, you and your teacher should leave quickly."

Yue Wen thought over the plan in her mind, about to speak, when suddenly there were consecutive thunderous explosions above, followed by the earth shaking and the mountains quivering.

"Right now!" Shi Feiyang soared into the sky, waving his right hand to store the Mica Tent, above which wide clouds of black smoke and Demon Light raged, with many yakshas and evil spirits howling and zigzagging through it, desiring to devour humans.

Shi Feiyang's left hand conjured a seal towards the Circulation Hunyuan Umbrella, which began to rotate, emitting light from the three hundred and sixty Circulation Talismans, scattering great swathes of golden light in every direction, instantly pinning the black clouds and Demon Light in place, freezing everything including the yakshas and evil spirits within.

Shi Feiyang said to Yue Wen, "Quick, take the flags and break the formation!"

Yue Wen, with Body and Sword Combined, became a ten-plus zhang long golden light piercing through the black smoke and Demon Light, accurately arriving beneath a flag. Then, casting another spell, she condensed golden talisman light and blended it into the flag. Originally floating in mid-air, once the Golden Talisman was absorbed, the flag stopped fluttering, and the released yakshas and evil spirits were sucked back in and fell down into the flag.

Yue Wen caught the flag and rolled it up, then moved to take down the other Yaksha Flags.

Above them, the battle raged on. Ling Xuehong, Bai Guyi's partner from the chase through the clouds, and the disciples of Master Fen Tuo, who had practiced Dao since the Northern Song Dynasty and mastered both Buddhism and Daoism, faced a multitude of demons single-handedly, unfazed. He unleashed the Dharma Flower Vajra Wheel, his mountain treasure bestowed by Master Fen Tuo, spinning it rapidly, with silver rain hanging in the air and the electric wheel spinning fiercely. Right from the start, he trapped Bi Xiu's seventh and eldest sisters, who without any resistance, were ground into dust. He then unleashed the Prajnaparamita Saber to strike at Bi Xiu.

The Sword Immortals from Wutai and Huashan Sects, upon witnessing this, were furious, each unleashing their Flying Sword Magical Treasures. The Huashan Sect was particularly proficient in Thunder Fire, and several members threw their hands out, releasing thousands of fierce flames.

Ling Xuehong's Dharma Treasure Wheel could attack and defend. At this moment, he pulled it back to protect his head, spinning and bursting with millions of silver raindrops of Buddha Light, blocking all of the enemy's Flying Swords, Magical Treasures, and Thunder Fire. He then unleashed the True Essence Scissors, cutting a Huashan Disciple in half.

Xu Feiniang called out loudly, "You whore think you're strong, seeking your death. Everyone, surround her, don't let her escape. Watch how I capture her!" She raised her hand to cast the Five Escape Divine Piles, which flew into the sky and transformed into five streams of smoke—blue, red, yellow, white, and black—reversing course to crash down to Earth. Wood in the east, Metal in the west, Fire in the south, Water in the north, sealing off all sides, with a yellow smoke column crashing down from the center.

Ling Xuehong, relying on the immense power of the Four Demonic Refining Treasures passed down by her teacher, which was impervious to all demons, knew Xu Feiniang was formidable but believed she couldn't injure her. Determined to kill the traitor Bi Xiu that day, she didn't retreat, accelerating the spin of her Dharma Flower Vajra Wheel and rising upward. The yellow smoke column striking it was immediately scattered.

She thought Xu Feiniang's treasure was nothing extraordinary and tried to push through with the Vajra Wheel to strike at Bi Xiu. Bi Xiu, already fearful of her, hid behind the crowd, trembling with fear. Suddenly, seeing the True Essence Scissors flying towards him, he let out a cry of "Mommy!" and fled backward.

In front of him were the Iron Flute Immortal Li Kunwu of Wutai Sect and Jiao Sanguni, with both of them working together to release their Flying Swords and joining with Li Kunwu's flute, together they managed to fend off the True Essence Scissors, giving Bi Xiu a moment of relief.

Jiang Sanguni eyed the True Essence Scissors as a valuable treasure and wanted to capture it, not expecting it to be in perfect sync with Ling Xuehong's mind, already being retracted as a golden light.

Ling Xuehong hoped to break through with the power of the Dharma Flower Vajra Wheel and kill Bi Xiu, but unexpectedly the skies turned a murky yellow, gloomy and dark, and the whole world seemed enveloped in a haze of dusk.
