The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 120: 120 sell umbrellas

Shi Feiyang, carrying his Iron Umbrella under one arm, walked on the streets of Chengdu.

He would select passersby and ask them, "Would you like to buy an Iron Umbrella? My umbrella can block swords and weapons, withstand water and fire, and keep all demons and evil spirits at bay, all for a fair price..."

Most people found this utterly baffling, but seeing his magnificent clothes and extraordinary demeanor, resembling that of a rich noble's son, they didn't dare to verbally abuse him and simply waved him off with a 'no thanks'.

The curious few who did want to test the umbrella found it to be as heavy as Taishan as soon as they tried to take it from him—it would have crashed to the ground had he not been supporting it with one hand.

This spectacle drew a crowd, and they began to heckle him, urging him to open the umbrella for everyone to see.

"I cannot! I cannot!" Shi Feiyang said, "This umbrella governs Yin and Yang, aligns with the Five Elements, and separates the Eight Diagrams, took in the energy of Circulation, and once opened, it will turn the sky overcast. If we're unlucky, it might even bring a torrential downpour."

The crowd accused him of bragging, "Which family's young master are you, to be so mischievous? You must have learned some tricks from a street performer and came out to play pranks on people!"

Shi Feiyang argued playfully with them, continuously praising his Iron Umbrella, as the onlookers talked all at once, quickly creating a ruckus.

Meanwhile, a Sword Immortal passing overhead saw the gathering below and casually glanced over, spotting Shi Feiyang's Iron Umbrella and immediately recognized it as a formidable Immortal Magical Treasure. He concealed his presence, hearing Shi Feiyang actually intended to sell this treasured umbrella, he became somewhat displeased.

Already carrying a sense of irritation, upon noticing that Shi Feiyang, who was clearly a Sword Immortal, was fooling around with ordinary people in the market, not intending any harm but still engaging in tiresome entertainment.

He snorted coldly: You take pleasure in teasing people, confident that they can't handle an Immortal Magical Treasure. I'll take that umbrella off your hands, and then let's see if you still sell it or not. If you go back on your word, I'll forcefully take it away, either throw it into a volcano or sink it to the bottom of the sea, then seal it with a Spell, making you search for it by yourself!

With that thought, he landed outside the city, walked in, and approached Shi Feiyang, reaching out his hand, "I want to buy your umbrella!"

Shi Feiyang was just explaining to the crowd that his umbrella would not get hot regardless of how it was burnt, when suddenly a tall young man dressed in white walked in from the outskirts of the crowd, appearing to be about thirty years of age, wearing a Jade Crown, with a cold face and a distinguished appearance that exuded an air of elegant nobility.

Looking at the outstretched hand before him, Shi Feiyang asked, "You want to buy my umbrella?"

"Exactly!"

Shi Feiyang smiled, "I'm afraid you can't afford it."

The stranger scoffed, "What in the world can't I afford? Name your price."

"Your life."

The stranger became furious, "How high is your Dao Level for you to dare claim you want my life?"

Shi Feiyang held the umbrella with his left hand, right hand patting the umbrella's surface: "This umbrella can truly save your life."

The stranger sneered and said sternly, "Are you purposely making fun of me?"

Shi Feiyang shook his head, "Not at all. I give you the umbrella, save your life, and then... your life would be owed to me, in the future..."

"You brat, who asked for your help!" The opponent wouldn't let him finish speaking and stretched out a hand with a grasping motion, generating a suction in the palm, attempting to snatch away the umbrella out of thin air.

Shi Feiyang shook the umbrella and dispersed the opponent's absorbing True Qi, then pushed forward with his left hand in a blocking gesture, "What are you doing? Outright robbery?"

With an outstretched left hand, the assailant launched a Prohibition Technique, intending to immobilize Shi Feiyang on the spot while grabbing for the umbrella through the air again, "You conduct business without integrity, mocking your customers; your sign deserves to be smashed. Today, whether you wish to sell this umbrella or not, you're going to sell it!"

Realizing the opponent was using a highly formidable Prohibition Technique, Shi Feiyang did not dare to be negligent. He formed a spell with his left hand to counteract it and quickly retreated backward, "Who are you, to coerce a sale in broad daylight?"

The adversary was quite surprised to see him easily neutralize the spell, "Which junior sprang from where that you don't even recognize Ling Hun?!"

While speaking, he didn't stop his attack. Shi Feiyang was waiting for him. Shimmying back over thirty feet, with a nimble flick, he shot straight up into the sky.

Ling Hun snorted coldly, "No more pretending?" He unleashed a white sword light over thirty feet long, which soared like a jade dragon, stepping forward himself. His figure rose up on the sword light, in one stride reaching the Nine Heavens Cloud.

Shi Feiyang opened the umbrella to block Ling Hun's Flying Sword, "Why are you being so unreasonable?"

With ferocious Sword Control, Ling Hun's sword danced like a dragon with flashing claws, darting up and down, "I can't stand your dishonesty, deceiving the people."

Shi Feiyang parried each attack with the Iron Umbrella, asking, "What do you think of this umbrella?"

Ling Hun replied, "It's a decent Magical Treasure."

Shi Feiyang said, "Don't you realize your doom is imminent? I came to Chengdu specifically to block you, with the intention of saving your life…"

Full of pride, Ling Hun would not consider Shi Feiyang's words and his voice turned colder, "You're likely the disciple of Tie San from overseas, running amok in Central Earth after gulping down a heart and courage from a leopard to mock me? You really must be tired of living. It's said that Tie San has met his fate, and you, without a master's guidance, stir up trouble. I will discipline you on his behalf today!"

He initially thought his Immortal Sword alone was sufficient to overcome the opponent, but after a prolonged assault, still unable to pierce through with the sword regardless of his technique, blocked by the Iron Umbrella, he thought to himself that Tie San indeed lived up to his reputation, with even a single disciple possessing such skill. He then rubbed his hands together, and from his palms burst forth a clap of thunder, striking Shi Feiyang's Iron Umbrella with a crack.

Bright with the flash of lightning, once it struck the Iron Umbrella, the electric light scattered, uncountable volts snaking along the surface of the umbrella, attempting to curve around it to strike Shi Feiyang.

Shi Feiyang had anticipated the adversary's reluctance to heed his warning. This encounter was merely to meet in advance. With a gesture, he spun the umbrella. The Circulation God Talisman shone, and with a flash of golden light, it dispelled all the electric light on the umbrella's surface into a sky full of tiny stars.

"You're stubborn to the end, presuming good intentions are donkey's liver and lungs," he said. "Very well, if fate allows, we'll meet again someday!"

Forming a spell with both hands, Ling Hun was about to gather his Essence Energy to augment the Thunderous Power, but the opponent spun his Magical Treasure, nullifying his Thunder Skill, leaving him immensely shocked. Seeing Shi Feiyang leaving, he felt a strong sense of disbelief and called out softly, "Finish what you were saying before leaving!" His right hand directed his sword in pursuit, and his left hand emitted five colored lights, instantly forming five banner gates, surrounded by swirling clouds and light, constantly shifting and sealing off an area of several acres around Shi Feiyang.

Recognizing them as the Five Elements banner gates, Shi Feiyang held the umbrella, stepping on air, moving through Circulation, zigzagging and crisscrossing. After only about a dozen steps, he suddenly escaped into the void, vanishing without a trace.

Ling Hun was shocked. The Five Elements banner gates were his treasured possession, honed over many years, containing before and after the mysteries of Acquired and Innate Five Elements, infinitely variable. Since their creation, they had never failed him against any enemy, but today, they failed to contain a disciple of Tie San?

He could hardly believe this turn of events, suspecting Shi Feiyang had used an Invisibility Technique or perhaps the Iron Umbrella possessed a power for concealment. Once his banners were displayed, and the Immortal Array arranged, the opponent should not have been able to escape. He cast spells from outside, causing the inner glow to flicker and surge like a tide, with Five-Colored Flames pervading every crevice within the array, raging furiously but without a target.

In the end, he had no choice but to retract the banners, looking around bewildered, "What sort of method did that lad use to escape from the banners?"
