The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 153: 152 Tianxuan Divine Sand

Mo Ying loudly questioned Zhuge Jingwo, a scenario that no one present had anticipated, including Zhuge Jingwo himself. They all thought it was the Black Dragon who had damaged his Dao Level, and it was only rightful for him to seek revenge against the Black Dragon, but they had forgotten, the reason he had become sworn enemies with the Black Dragon in the first place was that he wanted to harvest the millennium Purple River Grass. Now, that very same Purple River Grass, having grown into human form, stood before him demanding an explanation, which was both sudden and hard to swallow.

Zhuge Jingwo was momentarily at a loss for words. The eldest brother, Shen Tuhong, stepped forward and said, "Back then, you were just a herb. It is already considered benevolent and righteous for beings in this world to eat plants. Disciple Zhuge was only following master's orders to collect herbs for Alchemy, which is in accordance with both the heavens and the earth. Had we known you possessed a spirit and could transform as you have now, we certainly wouldn't have harvested you for Alchemy, and would have instead taken good care of you to prevent harm from demons and evildoers."

"You make some sense, ordinary flowers and plants can be consumed, but ones like me who are spirited and can transform cannot, is that so or not?" Mo Ying saw him nod and loudly said, "At that time, I already possessed a hint of Divine Thought, and my body had developed limbs; I was just like a baby within the mother's womb! When he decided to kill me for Alchemy, how is that any different from you humans slaying pregnant women, cutting open their wombs, and forcibly extracting the spirits for those Evil Skills involving child-mother Yin Demons?!"

As a herb, he wouldn't have understood these principles. These logical arguments were all taught to him by Shi Feiyang in advance. However, the actual words he used were of his own devising. His voice was clear and his arguments coherent. For a moment, he rendered the three individuals from the Emei Sect utterly speechless, unsure of how to respond.

Seeing things come to such a pass, Qian Kang knew he couldn't let this 'little thing' continue questioning, and he also felt the three from the Emei Sect were somewhat pedantic. The situation had reached this point, the arrow was on the string and had to be shot—could they really be talked into retreating just because of this little thing's few words?

He stepped forward and loudly said, "You little thing, stop being glib and making cunning arguments. No matter what, the Demon Dragon caused harm and disrupted people's Cultivation; that much is true. All your talk is useless. We are not like those from the Demon Path who revel in killing. If you know what's good for you, step aside at once and let us go in and slay the Demon Dragon. In the future, these three Sword Immortals will take you back to Emei Mountain and lead you onto the Mysterious Sect's Righteous Path. Whether you enjoy the fortune of immortals in the mountains or undergo Reincarnation, either would be good. Otherwise, with all the demons and strange creatures around today, you'll surely be eaten..."

He didn't know how Zhuge Jingwo had been harmed by the Demon Dragon, only that he had been harmed, so he took advantage of that in his speech and arranged for Mo Ying to follow Ruan Zheng and the others. By offering such a spirit-possessed transforming herb to the Emei Sect, they fulfilled a favor. Additionally, since Ruan Zheng and Shen Tuhong had been expelled from their Sect and were currently in a state of sin-bearing Cultivation, securing these little things would count as meritorious for their Sect. If they could reduce the period of their eighty-one-year sentence, or even avoid the third Soldier Disintegration tribulation altogether, their relationship would be even tighter in the future.

Mo Ying was willing to debate with them because Shi Feiyang was currently unconscious in the palace, and once they made it past the hour of the Ox, he would wake up, greatly increasing their chances of victory.

Knowing this, and having observed the five humans before him, he could tell that the two older ones on the left were sly and crafty, nothing like easy adversaries. The other three appeared straightforwardly foolish, easily choked up by his few sentences, so he wanted to continue questioning the three.

Qian Kang, of course, also knew about the Black Dragon's sleeping time frame and was not willing to entangle further with this 'insignificant herb'. He stretched out a hand, releasing a flow of Yuqing immortal light that enveloped Mo Ying, "Reflect on yourself here for a while, after we've killed the Black Dragon, we'll deal with you!"

After he finished speaking, he attempted to barge into the palace when he suddenly felt a chill on his back and quickly turned around, only to find four figures floating out of nowhere.

In front of the Tianxin Palace were jade steps, which led to a vast white jade platform. Standing on the jade steps and confronting Mo Ying on the threshold, Qian Kang turned to look and saw that the four shadowy figures were floating ten feet away above the railing of the jade steps, motionless and staring at them like hanged ghosts.

Ruan Zheng was extremely sensitive to such entities and cried out in alarm, "This is bad! These are Divine Demons refined from a Cultivator's Primordial Spirits!"

As it turned out, these four individuals, one monk on each side, were none other than Varnagyin II and Kasyin Shabu, whom Shi Feiyang had killed in Qingluo Valley. The middle pair, a man, and a woman, were Zhong Ang, the Sect Hierarch of the Golden Flower Sect whom Shi Feiyang had killed in Qingtian, Zhejiang, and Wei Fengniang, the Divine Hand Monk whom he had killed at Dinghu Peak. All had been incorporated into the Flower Evil Divine Gang as the Main God and then refined into Divine Demons through Secret Techniques of the Demon Cult.

Shi Feiyang had anticipated their arrival beforehand and so set an ambush with the Flower Evil Divine Gang in front of the jade steps. The moment someone tried to enter the great hall, it would be triggered.

Before Ruan Zheng was expelled from his Sect, he had obtained a Heavenly Treasure known as Tianxuan Divine Sand by chance. Xun Lanyin had taken it to perform Sacrificial Refinement on it for him, turning it into two finger rings called the Two-Phase Ring, which appeared as ordinary rings, but once released, emitted boundless Five-Colored Starlight, incredibly powerful, specially effective against all kinds of demons and Evil Creatures.

Ruan Zheng had a certain connection with the daughter of Shi Pi the Elder, one of the Cosmic Six Strange. The Witch Princess was infatuated with him, insisting on giving herself to him in marriage. Ruan Zheng refused, much to Shi Pi the Elder's displeasure. Although the Elder wanted to personally take action several times, he was held back by his daughter. Shi Pi the Elder was the Sect Hierarch of the Great Asura Sect among the Demon Path, and both father and daughter were adept in Demon Path Techniques. Having dealt with them for a long time, Ruan Zheng was quite familiar with these methods.

Looking at the four beings floating in the air, they were not the Asura Blood Demons from Shi Pi the Elder's Asura Sect lineage. Rather, they seemed to be a mixture of the strong Divine Demons from the Western Demon Cult and the Nine Heavens Secret Demons from the lineage of the Red Body Sect's Jiu Panpo, appearing discordant and likely based on stolen Cultivation Techniques. Still, the chilling terror they emitted was enough to make even him shudder. He promptly raised his hand to release the Tianxuan Divine Sand from the Two-Phase Ring.

His Tianxuan Divine Sand was specifically effective against evil demons. The Witch Princess often found him to share tea and chat, speaking of the unpredictability of magic and its difficulty to guard against, fearing that he might be harmed by someone on the Demon Path. She revealed to him the intricacies of many Demon Path techniques, urging him to be extremely cautious and vigilant in future encounters.

Ruan Zheng harbored another concern. He speculated that the Witch was hopelessly in love with him, an affection he could never return. Inevitably, when she failed to win him over and lost her patience, a person from the Demon Path could turn heartless. He feared a day would come when they would have to fight, so he paid special attention to the suppression of the Demon Path while nurturing his Tianxuan Divine Sand.

Once he released the sand, all fierce ghosts, evil spirits, demons, and malevolences would be demolished like leaves scattered by an autumn wind. Even if it was a Divine Demon who had reached climatic power and couldn't be eliminated instantly, the boundless Star Sand would wrap around them, grinding them down slowly until they eventually dissipated into nothingness.

He was utterly confident that he could use the Star Sand to envelop the four demons, scattering their souls in less time than it took to drink a cup of tea!

The three Mo brothers inside the grand hall saw him raise his hand casually, releasing thousands of points of Five-Colored Starlight, and they cried out in unison, "There it is!"

The three small hands rose simultaneously, each summoning a ring in their possession.

Shi Feiyang had told them beforehand that as soon as they saw a vast expanse of Five-Colored Starlight, they were to activate the Heaven and Earth Quiet Circle without hesitation.

The three rings flew out from inside the hall, transforming into three colorful light circles—one showering green light, one spraying golden stars, and one bursting with Five-Colored Radiant Light. They hung in the air, drawing the Tianxuan Divine Sand toward them with infinite suction.

When Ruan Zheng used his Tianxuan Divine Sand to confront the four demons, it uncontrollably curled back and flew towards the three rings. He found it amusing, thinking to himself, what kind of Magical Treasure do you possess that dares to try to capture my sand? My Divine Sand is a Heavenly Treasure, already refined and unified with my Primordial Spirit. Who in this world could possibly take it away?

He recognized that the three rings were also remarkable treasures, so he cast a spell to make the Tianxuan Divine Sand envelop them, intending to forcibly seize the opponent's rings.

From the moment they spotted the four demons to the entanglement of Tianxuan Divine Sand with the Heaven and Earth Quiet Circles, it all happened in the blink of an eye.

At that moment, the four demons attacked simultaneously, releasing fierce energies that rushed forward. Shen Tuhong and Zhuge Jingwo each released their flying swords, while the couple Qian Kang wielded their swords together.

Qian Kang, a Loose Cultivator from the sidelines with centuries of experience in Jianghu, naturally knew the dangers posed by demons. Especially since he couldn't ascertain the techniques and foundations of these four, he dared not let them get close. Standing side by side with his wife, one summoned a protective Magical Treasure, while the other released an offensive one, aiming to blast the demons into pieces.

Shi Feiyang had obtained some Western magic cultivation methods from Wei Fengniang, and later, from Varnagyin II and Kanyin Shabu, he acquired the "Red Lotus Secret Manual." Both originated from the Western Demon Cult: the former was too sparse and not systematic, comprising only specific spells, while the latter was too elementary in level.

He had also extracted numerous things from the Primordial Spirit of Zhong Ang, including the Demon Refinement techniques of the lineage of Jiu Panpo, the Sect Hierarch of the Red Body Sect.

He combined these techniques to gain a clear understanding and quickly grasped and integrated them, comprehending the essence of the Demon Cult's Demon Refinement. By combining Daoist prohibitions on Primordial Spirits and the technique to awaken Primordial Spirits, he refined the Flower Evil Divine Gang anew. He identified the souls within, separating the innocents who had died tragically and wronged. Since their souls were already fragmented, and they couldn't be sent to reincarnate, he temporarily sealed them in a gourd. The rest, being utterly evil, were re-refined by Shi Feiyang using a new method and instilled with many new utilities and functions.

Varnagyin II stood upon a red Lotus Platform, surrounded by palm-sized Red Lotus flowers, his dignified appearance emitting an aura of compassion: "Amitabha Buddha, today I will guide you to the Western Heaven to meet our Buddha..."

Kanyin Shabu was enveloped in yellow osmanthus flowers, as if surrounded by a haze of yellow sand: "Amitabha Buddha, life is filled with suffering... I shall teach you the method of ultimate bliss!"

Zhong Ang was associated with the Five-Colored Tea Flower, dressed in his Daoist robe, controlling his twelve Golden Flower Flying Blades from his past life, fluttering forward like butterflies, a sinister smile plastered on his face...
