The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 206: 204 Tian Can Zi_2

The child spoke so pleasantly that Shi Feiyang even considered taking him as a disciple.

He handed Huo Renyu a Jade Box, "This is the Yin Yang Creation Spirit Glue that I refined overseas. It can reattach severed limbs and cause flesh to grow on white bones with divine effectiveness. Use it to heal your leg injury."

Huo Renyu accepted the Jade Box but didn't immediately treat his own wounds; instead, he said anxiously, "Although Brother Yu Xiao was saved by senior's timely intervention just now, he has been affected by the Demon Fire, stirring his Heart Fire. The external Demon Fire was blocked, but the internal Demon Fire has ignited, currently refining his body's Essence Energy. If it continues to burn, his bones will dry up and marrow will empty, destroying his foundation. I earnestly request senior to work your wonders once again to save him."

"They are not in a hurry, you first heal your leg injury, and then when it's convenient to move, I will teach you how to cure him."

Huo Renyu retreated to one side, sat down, ripped open his trouser leg, opened the Jade Box, and immediately a rich medicinal fragrance filled the entire cave, reviving everyone's spirits. The medicinal glue was crystal clear, resembling Crystal Jade. He formed a gesture and, pointing inwards, used his Essence Energy to lift a small ball the size of a dragon's eye, which he placed into the gaping wound on his leg. Then he used Dan Fire to dissolve the medicinal glue, which turned into dense white vapors that he spread evenly within the wound, feeling an immediate cooling comfort and all swelling and pain dissipated.

By the time an entire medicine pill had dissolved, he could already feel the itchiness of new flesh growing inside the wound.

Watching the new flesh quickly grow at the wound site, it only took a moment to heal and scab over. He got up and took a few steps, feeling no pain whatsoever, and he couldn't help but be overjoyed.

He knew such Spiritual Medicine was rare to come by and returned the Jade Box to Shi Feiyang with both hands.

Shi Feiyang generously waved it off, "The rest is for you. Keep it well; you may need it in the future."

While Huo Renyu's leg injury was healing, Shi Feiyang had already sent Xiong Man to fetch an Elixir to save Shi Mingzhu. Since it was not appropriate for a man to treat a lady, he gave Huo Renyu two Spirit Pills, taught him how to use them, and instructed him to go and save Yu Xiao.

Shi Feiyang also assigned Xiong Man a task, handing her a Jade Box, "There are several important places in this temple with piles of gold and silver, as well as various gemstones. Go and collect these items. Also, if you encounter disciples of Chuandeng Monk, kill them all!"

With the Jade Box in hand, Xiong Man went to collect the items, while Shi Feiyang picked up several Magical Treasures left by Chuandeng Monk. He gave the two Golden Ring Sabers to Varnagyin II and Kāyīn Shā Bù, and the pair of cymbals to Huo Renyu, "These items are of good quality. Though refined with Magic, they also have a foundation in Buddhist Law. I will teach you a Daoist method. First, refine them with a nine-day ritual, and then use your Kunlun Sect's own techniques to continue refining them. They will be effective in breaking formations and serve as powerful weapons."

Huo Renyu happily accepted and once again thanked his senior with a bow.

As for the White Lotus plant, which was too vile and tainted, Shi Feiyang didn't even want to touch it with his hands. He first shredded it into tiny pieces with the Three Yangs One Qi Sword, then burned it to ashes with Immortal Fire, thoroughly eradicated.

Outside, Jiang Shu finally came looking and first met with Xiong Man before joining up with Shi Feiyang. He expressed his deep apology, "Your Hunyuan Umbrella was forcibly taken by a lame Daoist. My Mana is too weak, and I couldn't catch up... Once I've refined my Immortal Law in the future, I will definitely retrieve the umbrella for you!"

After hearing this, Shi Feiyang slightly furrowed his brows. Using magic to summon the umbrella from afar, he sensed that the umbrella was already thousands of miles away, and someone had cast a spell to prevent its direct return.

He told Jiang Shu not to worry and to explain what happened in detail. After listening, Shi Feiyang closed his eyes and made a strategic calculation. Upon opening his eyes, he said indifferently, "This isn't your fault."

Based on the Gua Xiang and information he knew, he had deduced that the lame Daoist was called Tian Canzi, also a senior expert of the Qingcheng Sect.

In the original Shu Mountain series, he is not mentioned in the main storyline but only briefly in "Qingcheng Nineteen Heroes." By then, he had already ascended to the Spiritual Space Immortal Realm, leaving behind a pair of extremely famous Immortal Swords: Juying and Zhu Xue, which fell into the hands of Huo Renyu, the future Sect Leader of the Qingcheng Sect and apprentice of Zhu Mei.

This man had not yet ascended, but he had already attained the status of Yangshen Celestial Immortal, with only some unresolved mundane affairs left. Once these were settled, he could ascend to the Immortal Realm.

Now, with Ming He of the Qingcheng Sect having ascended and Zhu Mei and Jiang Shu both reincarnated, it was a time of utmost vulnerability for them, so he committed himself to accumulating cultivation in the Human World while also taking care to watch over them.

Zhu Mei had her own fortunate encounters and required less of his worry, while Jiang Shu, who was not as advanced in his Dao Level as Zhu Mei and carried the temperament of the "Demon Suppression True Master," faced numerous setbacks. His character was forged through repeated disappointments, which introduced many uncertainties. Tian Can placed even more attention on him, remotely checking on his condition every once in a while.

When Shi Feiyang sensed someone secretly spying on him in Fujian and Yellow Mountain, it was him. Not long ago, Shi Feiyang had cut down the Golden Marvel Tree and broken the Golden Lamp Demon Formation. One Light Master intervened across the distance, ready to reveal himself using the gold statues of Buddha and Demon from the great hall, but Tian Can repelled him with a single sword strike and a bolt of lightning.

"That Daoist is Tian Can, indeed a senior figure in your past life."

Jiang Shu was clueless about who Tian Can was, but the four young disciples of the Kunlun Sect immediately gasped in subdued shock, "It's said that the senior figure has perfected both Outer Skills and Inner Strength and is just waiting to ascend! Has he come here tonight?"

They then connected the dots with Jiang Shu's name; at first thinking it was a coincidence of same names, they now realized what was going on and looked at Jiang Shu with newfound respect for the senior.

Even Yu Xiao, who normally carried an air of defiance, tamed it significantly. He might not accept Shi Feiyang, who seemed to appear out of nowhere, but he couldn't disregard the widely respected Demon Suppression True Master Jiang Shu.

Though their lineage was from the Kunlun Sect, their Daoist training ground was not at Kunlun Mountain but with their master in Shu, where their seniors often interacted with the Qingcheng and Emei Sects. Yu Xiao dared not show disrespect to Jiang Shu, one of the "Seven True Masters," for fear of punishment from Mr. Zhong upon his return.

Jiang Shu said, "Even if he is my past life's martial uncle, he cannot just take your umbrella. Rest assured, I will personally retrieve it for you."

Shi Feiyang, however, was not particularly angered, "He didn't take the umbrella for his own use. According to the Gua Xiang, he intended to use it to avert two crises for some people in the Emei Sect. Your martial uncle is trying to dissolve the enmity between me and the Emei Sect. The words he wanted you to convey to me, 'Too petty to bear the Three Emperors Dao,' were not criticizing me for being petty, but suggesting I act generously in order to convert hostility between us and the Emei Sect into peace."

This enlightened Jiang Shu, "So that's the case; I had thought..."

He believed Tian Can was provoking Shi Feiyang deliberately, ready to pick a fight.

Previously unaware of Tian Can's background and knowing only of the limping Daoist's astonishing Mana and swordsmanship, Jiang Shu was deeply concerned Shi Feiyang might not match up and could rashly, out of anger for losing the Treasure, face him in a duel to his own disadvantage. Thus, he insisted on taking the matter into his own hands.

Even after learning that Tian Can was his martial uncle from a past life, he worried about a conflict between him and Shi Feiyang, which would be detrimental to either side.

It was only after hearing Shi Feiyang's interpretation that Jiang Shu finally breathed a sigh of relief. He then mused, "The Emei Sect is said to be a grand Righteous Immortal Sect from Shu, with the Sect Leader couple, Master Miao Yi, having prevailed in two swordfights against the Wutai Sect. I wonder what caused them to become enemies with my sworn brother."

Despite his brother's mild temperament and the uplifting warmth he brought to all, if even such a good person could become an enemy, it must assuredly be the fault of the Emei Sect! He had heard of the Emei Sect's heavy-handedness and resolved to be cautious with them in the future.
