The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 213: 211 Demon's Melody Lures Anger

Liu Quan was trapped in the Demon Fire, initially confident that the Evil Extinguishing Immortal Robe was powerful enough to resist it. Yet, as the fire blazed more furiously, the external layer of flames enveloping the robe kept shrinking, leaving only a layer akin to clouds beneath. Once that outer layer was gone, the inner one wouldn't last long either.

He felt the heat becoming increasingly unbearable and couldn't help but curse his fate secretly.

Had he known this would happen, he might as well have joined forces with Deng Bagu earlier to repel the two attackers, then proceed to western Sichuan. Death was inevitable either way; dying at Zhuanlun Temple, at least, would have paid homage to his late master. It would have been far better than perishing in the hands of these two without reason.

Moreover, after death, they would capture his Primordial Spirit to offer to One Light Master. Inevitably, he would end up being refined into a Divine Demon.

Thinking of this, he was full of regret. Remembering how his mentor had been ambushed by One Light Master and reduced to ashes, sorrow overwhelmed him, and hot tears uncontrollably streamed down his face.

Yet, what he didn't know was that Yuan Da was continuously casting magic outside; six Divine Demons had pounced on the inner layer of the Evil Extinguishing Immortal Robe. Although blocked by the clouds, they kept burrowing in, inching ever closer to his spine, only less than three feet away, constantly spewing Demon Light at him, disorienting his mind.

As regret and sorrow flooded him, he let the sorrowful Demon into his heart, growing more and more distressed. Unable to repress it, he wept profusely, sinking deeper into the Demon Realm.

Yuan Da continued casting from behind, delighted to see Liu Quan's spirit wavering. That Evil Extinguishing Immortal Robe carried a shimmer of Buddha Light, which could slightly protect his mind. But now, with inner demons taking hold, even that external Buddha Light was of no help. It was only a matter of moments before his mind would break down completely, and Yuan Da could capture his Primordial Spirit directly!

The duo had been refining Liu Quan with fierce fire for half a day until nightfall. Today was the New Moon, and darkness enveloped the land. Their "volcano" of tens of acres blazed conspicuously under the night sky.

This fire was different from mundane fire in the world. Its nature was viscous, its color a glaring red. Any experienced person could tell at a glance that it was Demon Fire, specifically from the Western Demon Cult.

By midnight, Liu Quan was on the verge of collapse, his tears dried, with Heart Fire consuming a significant amount of his Essence Energy. His spirit fluctuated, clinging to the last shred of consciousness to maintain his Daoist foundation, but it, too, began to falter.

The two intensified their magic, aiming to refine him in one fell swoop.

Suddenly, Xing Kun looked up to see a huge Moon shining brightly in the sky, its cold light striking him. Confused, he quickly calculated and asked Yuan Da, "Isn't today the New Moon?"

Yuan Da, having heard this, also sensed something amiss. There shouldn't be a Moon on the New Moon!

Moreover, the Moon appeared unusually eerie. Around its bright disc lingered a ring of aurora.

Xing Kun hastily unified his Lifebound Divine Demon to concentrate and observe, remembering the scene from the daytime duel. He couldn't help but curse, "Damn! That's the wretched Snow Soul Pearl from Deng Bagu!"

No sooner had he spoken than the "Moon" suddenly plummeted down like a comet striking Earth, trailing a long tail of frosty chill, cutting through the night sky until it descended. It was a hundred feet above the "volcano," and the raging Demon Flames jumping from the volcano were suddenly suppressed by the invisible cold, shrinking significantly.

Xing Kun rapidly expelled True Qi, launching four Demon Lights towards the "Moon." Materializing bodies, they formed four giant Great Divine Demons, bloody-bodied and white-haired with fierce fangs, spreading their claws upwards to forcibly support the "Moon."

The Divine Demons had only drawn near when the surrounding Ice Soul Divine Light of the Snow Soul Pearl descended first. The colorful light swirled like smoke but was impregnable like walls of brass and iron, keeping the Divine Demons at bay.

As the Snow Soul Pearl continued to fall, the Demon Fire below was forced to split apart, creating a massive bowl-shaped depression. Then the Snow Soul Pearl began to rotate, and with each turn, it scattered rays of pure white radiance. When this brilliance touched the Demon Fire, a layer of it diminished just like hot soup melting snow. Several dozen rotations caused the massive "volcano" to lose several feet in height.

Enraged, Xing Kun formed Sealing with his hands, pressed them to his forehead, and hastily recited several Spells. When he opened his eyes, a red glow twinkled within. His hand Seal swiftly changed, seeking Deng Bagu's location.

"Idiot, your granny is here!" Deng Bagu's voice suddenly rang out behind him. Startled, Xing Kun quickly turned, and there stood Deng Bagu within thirty feet, sending a flash of Immortal Sword radiating towards him. Instantly close, the freezing sword tip made his face ache. Fortunately, the Vajra Pestle, a Magical Treasure he nurtured for many years, responded to his thoughts and blocked the sword in time.

"Clang!" The sword light scraped against the pestle, sparking a shower of Mars.

Xing Kun broke into a cold sweat, cursing as he swung the pestle down. The pestle turned into a streak of golden light and struck right at Deng Bagu's head. Before Xing Kun could rejoice, "Deng Bagu" dispersed into a wisp of moonlight.

This was the Three Lights Tribulation Transformation Method taught by Shi Feiyang!

The real Deng Bagu had long since escaped elsewhere, making a hit-and-run attack on Yuan Da.

She weaved around the "volcano," battling both, leaving them overwhelmed and exhausted from defending. Taking advantage of the chaos, the Snow Soul Pearl kept descending. This treasure was the nemesis of Demon Fire, continuously rotating and scattering its light, like hot soup poured on snow, massively annihilating the Demon Fire.

A moment later, the massive "volcano," covering dozens of acres, was reduced to a mere layer about ten feet high.

Xing Kun, gnashing his teeth with hatred, exclaimed, "You wretched woman! If you have the guts, come and fight me to the death!"

He wanted to engage Deng Bagu in a duel and then lure her to Hua Mountain.

But Deng Bagu ignored him, breaking through the intense flames to reach Liu Quan's side.

Xing Kun clapped his hands together and spewed out a large amount of Demonic Flame once more, coupled with the remaining flames gathering towards the center, enveloping both Deng Bagu and Liu Quan within.

However, with the Snow Soul Pearl, his Demon Fire dissipated into smoke before it could even reach them. Deng Bagu directed the Snow Soul Pearl, using its glow to shine upon Liu Quan's forehead. After several rolls, Liu Quan felt a cool sensation all over and suddenly became alert. When he saw the raging flames around him and realized that it was Deng Bagu who had saved him, he felt immensely ashamed and said, "Thank you, junior sister, for rescuing me..."

"Enough with the nonsense! I only ask you, will you come with me to Haideng Temple?"

This time, Liu Quan did not hesitate at all. "Of course I will go."

"That's more like it!" Deng Bagu grabbed his arm with her left hand, lifting him up. With her right hand, she directed the Snow Soul Pearl, summoning the Ice Soul Divine Light to envelop them both, forming a giant colorful sword light over a hundred feet long, piercing diagonally through the Demonic Flames, shooting straight into the sky.

Xing Kun was still not giving up. "You wretched woman, how can you be so cowardly to just leave like this! Our fight isn't over yet; let's have a deadly duel!"

Deng Bagu's voice drifted from afar, "If you want to die, there's no need to rush. When we get to Zhuanlun Temple in the future, there will naturally be an opportunity to accommodate you."

Xing Kun was so angry that his pocked and bumpy red nose was about to become crooked. Yuan Da, using Divine Demon voice transmission, said, "This wretched woman clearly has a thing with Liu Quan, is smitten with the pretty boy. Now she's definitely taking him to some deserted wilds to enjoy herself. She hasn't touched a man for so many years, do you really think she's been chaste? Behind the scenes, who knows how many men she has messed with; her pants must be thoroughly worn out..."

This demonic voice carried far away, and Deng Bagu, provoked by such filthy taunts, truly could no longer contain her anger. Before encountering Shi Feiyang, she too had a fiery temper. She placed Liu Quan atop a mountain ridge, handing him a bottle of Immortal Pill. "I'm going to slaughter those two beasts!" she said, and without waiting for Liu Quan's response, she flew back on her sword.

If before she still had some consideration for the sentiment of sect brotherhood, resolved only to avoid the two men at Zhuanlun Temple and not specifically seek them out for a fight to the death, now she was thoroughly enraged. She intended to kill them today. While still several miles away, the Snow Soul Pearl had already emitted nine beams of the Ice Soul Divine Light Sword.

The Ice Soul Divine Light, usually a rainbow of seven colors, becomes a transparent white light when cultivated to the extreme. Each Ice Soul Divine Light Sword was condensed from this light, each sword only one color. Now exerting her full power, she launched nine colorful beams of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple, flying side by side, directly targeting Xing Kun, while also sending the Earth Penetrating Divine Needle and the Flying Sword towards the most foul-mouthed Yuan Da.

Xing Kun and Yuan Da each spurred their Magical Treasures, conjuring Divine Demons to battle against her.

Facing two opponents, Deng Bagu fought more valiantly as the battle waged on. The two men realized they truly could not defeat her and knew that if the struggle continued for just the duration of a meal, both would be killed by Deng Bagu. Fortunately for them, Deng Bagu had been provoked into a rage, falling right into One Light Master's trap. They fought as they retreated, constantly moving towards Hua Mountain.

As for Liu Quan, he lay upon a mountain ridge, watching Deng Bagu fight outnumbered, full of worry. After eating the Immortal Pill, he tried to stand up and help, but as he did, the world spun around him, his knees buckled, and he sat kneeling on the ground.

His body had been roasted by the Demonic Fire, burning away much of his spiritual energy and blood, and he was already completely exhausted. Had Deng Bagu arrived even moments later, his Dao Foundation would have been destroyed, rendering him useless even if he had been saved!

He felt anxious in his heart, watching in the distance as the "Moon Wheel" danced with spreading light, resembling the ever-changing aurora. He envied Deng Bagu tremendously. Then, as he watched Deng Bagu chasing the two men farther and farther away, clearly heading towards Hua Mountain, he grew increasingly worried.

Having spent many years on Zhongnan Mountain, he knew the character of the people of Huashan Sect well. The Huashan Sect specialized in Fire Element Daoist Techniques, which opposed the Snow Soul Pearl. Once they saw it, they would definitely seek to destroy it by all means. They were also a group of lustful demons; upon seeing Deng Bagu, they would surely be tempted.

Worried that Deng Bagu might be in danger, he consumed elixirs, regaining some strength, and barely managed to fly his sword in hot pursuit, praying inwardly, "I hope the people of Huashan Sect do not get involved, do not alarm them..."

The more he feared something, the more likely it was to happen. Flying slowly, controlling his sword light at a leisurely pace, he felt as if he could fall at any moment. His vision was starry, unbearable, and he quickly landed on a mountain peak. From there, he saw many people joining the fray towards Hua Mountain. They were all using Fire Element Daoist Techniques, mixed with a great deal of Thunderbolt Fire, the cracking of thunder clearly audible even from dozens of miles away.

He saw Deng Bagu killing three of their men, unstoppable, and grew even more anxious. "Junior sister, get away fast! The Fiery Fire Ancestor is no easy foe!"

No sooner had he finished speaking than he saw many red banners rise in the sky. They exuded a blazing fire a thousand feet tall, accompanied by deafening explosions and thunder, forming a vast sea of fire that trapped Deng Bagu within!

"Not good!" In his urgency, Liu Quan thought to rush to save Deng Bagu. He took a step forward, his foot went limp, nearly twisting his ankle, and he quickly stopped, knowing that going there meant certain death. The only option now was to rush to Haideng Temple to seek help from Deng Bagu's master!

Stumbling, he turned around, still watching the thunder fire growing more intense in the distance, crying out in his heart, "I hope your Snow Soul Pearl can protect you for a while longer!"

Just as he turned his head, preparing to fly away on his sword, he suddenly saw someone had appeared before him.
