The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 241: 237 land water fire wind

Xin Chenzi returned to the cave with his seven junior brothers and saw two stone guardians standing at the entrance. They were as tall as real people, with delicate facial features and expressions. Their clothing also changed as they moved.

Each of the stone guardians held a treasure sword, and upon seeing the newcomers, they immediately pointed their stone swords at them.

The stone guardian on the left said, "My master is here cultivating in seclusion, and no one is allowed to disturb him!"

The stone guardian on the right drew his stone sword through the air, and three zhang away from the front, he cut a ditch into the ground as if it had been carved out with a plowshare: "Anyone who crosses this line will die!"

The voice of the stone guardians was clear and cold, like the clashing of gold and stone, ringing directly into the depths of the soul, chilling to the listener.

Another person lay outside the line, the one who had barged into the cave earlier and had been knocked unconscious by a spit of "old phlegm" from the Beauty Serpent. The inner core of the Beauty Serpent could emit deadly poison but could also neutralize all poisons. By this time, much of his poison had been neutralized, but he had not yet regained consciousness.

The Beauty Serpent raised the front half of its body at the entrance of the cave, its skin extremely white, its appearance exceedingly beautiful, watching the group of unwelcome guests coldly.

Xin Chenzi looked at the person on the ground, had someone check him, fed him an Elixir, and dragged him aside.

Shi Feiyang was sitting inside the cave at this time. He wanted to go out to see Xin Chenzi, to see this senior brother from Bai Man Mountain who caused the Green Robe Ancestor untold misery in the original story, but he needed to act as Bai Guanhong's protector and couldn't leave. The Nine Heavens Yuan Yang Ruler had to be operated by someone; a moment of negligence could result in a Yin Demon slipping in, potentially ruining everything.

So, he had placed the two stone guardians he got from the Lianshan Treasure Vault on Moon Island at the entrance, letting them block this group of Bai Man Mountain disciples.

Xin Chenzi and his group were accustomed to rampaging through the Southern Border Region, arrogant and overbearing. Apart from the two powers nearby, the Five Poison Heavenly King Lie Baduo and the Red-haired Ancestor, they basically did not take other cultivators seriously, let alone magical creatures which, in their eyes, were just materials for artifact refining.

Beside him was the Purple Vajra Long Ling, the second disciple of the Green Robe Ancestor, who, seeing that the Beauty Serpent was beautiful and knowing such naturally gifted creatures were extremely rare, thought it could be used both as a human beauty to reward himself and exploit its poison for refining Magical Treasures. If he could offer it to his master, it might even have other wonderful uses.

Once upon a time, the Green Robe Ancestor had cruelly bitten off Xin Chenzi's arm, chewing up his flesh and tendons raw. Later, seeing that Xin Chenzi bore no resentment and was even more respectful and filial to him, the Green Robe Ancestor regretted his actions, treating Xin Chenzi better than his other disciples, teaching him all his spells without reservation.

The rest of the disciples were envious in their hearts, all wanting to find some way to please their master. Now, Long Ling intended to capture the Beauty Serpent alive to present it to their master, hoping to gain favor.

He shouted, "Who exactly is inside that cave? Putting up these two stone men, who are you trying to scare? We are the disciples of the Immortal Master in Green Robe from Bai Man Mountain, specially here to track down a Stone Silkworm that escaped our mountain.

We know that damned creature is inside. If you know what's good for you, quickly hand it over, along with this Beauty Serpent as compensation to repent, and we might spare your life. Otherwise, we'll refine you into a Gu Vessel and use your Essence Blood to sacrifice to the Gu Mother!"

The stone guardian spoke again, "You silly dog, don't be so arrogant. It's not just you; even if that old freak in the Green Robe came here, he wouldn't have the right to talk big like this. Earlier, when two of you intruded into the cave, my master spared your two dog lives, letting you go back alive. If you continue to be foolish..."

The people from Bai Man Mountain had never been confronted face-to-face like this before, and before the stone guardian could finish speaking, they could no longer hold back, cursing loudly as they released their Flying Forks.

Some among them wielded one Flying Fork, others two, and some controlled several at the same time. In an instant, at least twenty Flying Forks wrapped in virulent Ghost Fire, trailing long green tails of flame, shot towards the two stone guardians, intending to blast them to pieces.

These disciples of the Green Robe Ancestor were not weak, and with such a collective strike, even a small mountain cast in iron could be shattered on the spot.

The Beauty Serpent certainly could not withstand an attack of this magnitude and, sensing that death was imminent, its scales stood on end!

The two stone guardians took the initiative to move forward, simultaneously wielding their treasure swords, and from the tips of their swords, a string of five-colored Mars flew out.

These two string of Mars seemed insignificant, as if they could be easily snuffed out with a slap, and the people from Bai Man Mountain didn't take them seriously.

However, when they hit the green fire, not only was the Ghost Fire largely extinguished, but even the Flying Forks themselves melted into molten iron upon contact!

The fierce and smug expressions on the faces of the Bai Man Mountain group froze in an instant.

"What's going on? My Flying Fork is damaged." They felt their True Qi attached to the Flying Forks being broken and hurriedly made hand seals to recall them.

In just a few seconds, most of the Flying Forks were melted down, some entirely turned to molten iron, others half-melted, the remnants falling to the ground. Only three intact Forks were retracted.

Long Ling released three Flying Forks that surged to the forefront, only to be melted into molten iron by the True Fire and destroyed in an instant, which infuriated him into cursing aloud.

He held a Hemp Cloth Banner with red talismans drawn on it, and with a gentle shake, a nether wind rose from the ground and violently blew towards the cave entrance, instantly creating a storm of flying sand and rocks that blotted out the sun and moon.

Within the black wind, many ferocious ghosts appeared, howling as they rode the wind towards their assault.

The Stone Beings unleashed Mars against the wind, and those fierce ghosts, unwilling to be outdone, flew towards them to extinguish the flames—some breathed out yin energy to snuff them out, others used their ghostly claws, and there were even some who opened their maws as wide as cartwheels to swallow the flames whole.

How could these yin souls and malicious spirits withstand such potent Daoist True Fire? The slightest touch would immediately melt their ghostly forms!

Their companions, witnessing this, panicked thoroughly, their ferocity drained, replaced by expressions of sheer terror, as if living people had chanced upon wild ghosts, causing them to scramble back in hasty retreat.

Upon seeing the evil ghosts retreat, Long Ling quickly formed hand seals and shook the banner, aiming to stabilize their ranks.

His companions on either side each summoned several Magical Treasures of various kinds—needles, awls, knives, staffs—while others spewed an abundant torrent of Hundred Poison Spirit Sand, burning with blue green flames, from their gourds.

Nonetheless, regardless of the form, anything that came into contact with those Mars would be instantly melted, and upon collision, Bai Man Mountain's side saw their Magical Treasures extensively damaged in short order.

Xin Chenzi, as the Green Robe Ancestor's leading Disciple, had already learned most of the Green Robe Ancestor's spells. Though he did not know the exact nature of these Mars, realizing he had no Magical Treasure to counter the True Fire and presuming he could not resist, he chose not to forcibly confront them. Instead, he transformed into a trail of black smoke and flew into the sky.

He used the Substitute Technique, mixing a bit of his Essence Energy with Ghost Fire Poison Smoke to create an illusion of himself flying upwards, poised to attack from above.

By doing this, he would inevitably draw the opponent's gaze upwards.

Once their attention was diverted, his true body took advantage of the yin wind to flank from the side, flying to the right of the two Stone Beings and then launching Flying Forks to strike at the Stone Beings' true forms.

His plan was sound, for against most Cultivators, it was likely to succeed eight or nine times out of ten. But these two Stone Beings were stationed by the Lianshan Master to guard his cave dwelling and were unaffected by any Illusion Technique, having already locked onto his real body.

The Stone Being on the left directed the Mars to target the remaining disciples of Bai Man Mountain; as the Mars gathered and dispersed, the opponent's Magical Treasures became like moths to the flame, quickly burning and shattering before falling down engulfed in fire.

The Stone Being on the right recalled the Mars and pointed the Stone Sword toward the location of Xin Chenzi's real body, sending the Mars flying straight at him.

Xin Chenzi was alarmed, surprised that these soulless dullards could see through his invisibility!

With that realization, he no longer relied on false tactics and directly produced a small banner. With a wave, he immediately summoned dozens of water streams that took on the shape of white dragons, ferociously lunging forward with bearing teeth and claws. In the midst of the water dragons were copious flames, and within the flames arose billowing dust. Suddenly, the sky darkened, the earth quaked, and a great many Earth Evils burst from the ground, all advancing together in an onslaught.

This was his most formidable Magical Treasure, the Demon Spring Banner, which the Green Robe Ancestor had put great effort into forging for him. It was a legitimate piece of Demon Cult craftsmanship, capable of summoning the elements of earth, water, fire, and wind in unison with a single shake!

Upon encountering this combined force of earth, water, fire, and wind, the Mars emitted by the Stone Beings resulted in a fierce and piercing explosion. The water dragons evaporated into massive clouds of steam, the Demon Fire was rapidly extinguished, and the fierce winds and Earth Evils continued to dissipate...

Shi Feiyang was currently unable to fathom the mysteries of the Great Five Elements Annihilation Divine Light; had he mastered this technique, he could have arranged it into an Array to enclose the Stone Beings, whose Five Colors Mars could then have pressed forward boldly, shattering Xin Chenzi's Demon Spring Banner completely.

With the Stone Beings now removed from the original Array in front of the cave dwelling, they began to wane in strength, and the Mars they wielded grew weaker and weaker. This was only because Shi Feiyang had grasped some secrets and replenished them with a substantial amount of Five Elements Essence Qi, allowing them to continue working. Otherwise, even if they did not falter completely, they would at best be capable of only simple tasks like opening doors, cleaning, and pouring water—all within simple reach, and generating Five Elements True Fire would be utterly impossible.

Meanwhile, Xin Chenzi continued to unleash his powerful mana, incessantly invoking the Demon Spring Banner. The earth, water, fire, and wind he commanded seemed almost inexhaustible. As they clashed, the Five Elements True Fire could not advance, and both parties remained in a stalemate in the sky.

Xin Chenzi was quite confident in his prized treasure; he had supposed this treasure was capable of causing the Four Great Disintegration, fundamentally the same as the Heavenly Demon Disintegration Great Technique of the Demon Cult, the most powerful when used against all sentient beings of this world—that is, all beings entrenched in the ego, engaged in the cycle of Reincarnation. For they experience birth, aging, sickness, and death, and could be sent directly into the realm of death or, at the very least, age and fall ill.

When used against the insentient—plants and all manner of minerals— since they too experience formation, existence, decay, and voidness, they could be sent directly into the Void Realm, or at the very least, enter a state of decay.

Evidently, since the Stone Beings did not possess Primordial Spirits and were not involved in Reincarnation, the banner could have instantly either destroyed or voided them, reducing them to rubble.

Little did he expect that the potency of the Five Colors Mars would exceed his imagination, strong enough to withstand the combined forces produced by the Demon Spring Banner.

Xin Chenzi continued to output his True Qi, striving to annihilate both Stone Beings with his Demon Spring Banner. No matter how hard he tried, he could not even scratch one Stone Being, venting his anger and urgency, until an idea struck him. The gourd hanging from his waist automatically opened, and out leaped three Yin Soul Poison Fire Bombs that then arched through the air in a curve, bypassing the Mars to strike the Stone Beings directly.
