The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 269: 264 Overturned Fairy Revenge

Lin Han waved the Xuan Guang Ruler, releasing tens of thousands of five-colored light rings that floated up with the wind towards the Sun, confronting the Yin Wind Rakshasa Net descending from the sky.

As the light rings sparkled and spun, the Yin wind, black haze, Demonic Flame, and malevolent spirits all dissipated upon contact.

But in the blink of an eye, the Yin Wind Rakshasa Net, which had been concealed by the haze, was melted with countless holes—some as large as wheels and others only as small as teacups—becoming riddled with holes.

Lin Han activated the Nanming Leaving Fire Sword, casting a vermilion arc of over twenty zhàng in length across the sky, like a dragon frolicking in the sea, accompanied by light rings scattering everywhere.

This Magical Treasure, a fusion of the Red Body Sect's and Western Demon Cult's magic, was immediately sliced into countless pieces and then evaporated into smoke under the force of Sword Qi and treasure light, utterly destroyed.

Lin Han and Shi Sheng were ordered to guard the Rainbow Bridge and protect the Golden Spider. Although they had broken the enemy's treasure and had the upper hand, they did not take the opportunity to press their attack, instead standing firmly on the Rainbow Bridge, defending on either side of the Golden Spider.

In the sky, Huo Wuhai alone was struggling against the three Sect Leaders of the Demon Path. Shang Heyang's White Bone Heart-locking Hammer was extremely powerful, along with the nine Poison Dragon Muni Beads of Poison Dragon Venerable that could withstand his True Sun Fire and attack him at close range. If it weren't for the Five Clouds Separation and Union in his hands, he would have been defeated long ago.

Though Xiong Man had overcome her tribulations years ago at Chuandeng Temple and her Daoist power had advanced by leaps and bounds, she was still one level below that of a Sect Leader. She could only use the Dragon Sparrow Ring to eliminate some of the Demonic Flames rushing towards her, helping Huo Wuhai to fend off two skulls. The constant baking of Demonic Flame and True Sun Fire was unbearable and painful to her skin after a while.

Seeing her weakened state, Shang Heyang seized the advantage, shaking the Demon Fire Golden Banner to increase the fire burning her, and also commanded three skeletons to attack her.

Those skeletons, who had been Earth Immortals in life and still had their Nascent Souls trapped within their skulls, had been refined into demons. They spewed black smoke from their eye sockets—congealed with resentment—more potent than the Demonic Fire from the Demon Fire Golden Banner.

Xiong Man could not hold out. Knowing her lack of mana meant she would only add chaos to Huo Wuhai's struggle or, worse, distract him into saving her, she shook the Michen Banner and turned into a golden light to flee.

As she left, she hauled away the Formless Divine Demons attacking Huo Wuhai with her Dragon Sparrow Ring, using a drop of Essence Blood as bait to lure the demons into two rings—yellow and blue—and dragged them away forcefully.

The Formless Divine Demons were extremely troublesome. Huo Wuhai would not have feared them under normal circumstances, but now, facing the combined attack of three Sect Leaders and many monks and disciples from the Western Sect, he had been at a disadvantage. Additionally, having to deal with demon distractions that influenced his mind and clouded his Primordial Spirit—especially since the True Sun Fire could not burn them—now that they were dragged away by Xiong Man, his burden was greatly reduced.

He rallied his spirits and continued to spew fire, wishing he could turn all his Qi and mana into flames to eject them!

At that moment, the Green Robe Ancestor let out a shocking, strange howl, "Fellow daoists, watch as I capture this Fire Essence!"

He always had a defiant personality, and now with the three Sect Leaders joining forces for revenge, Shang Heyang and Poison Dragon Venerable had unleashed their full strength with the fiercest attacks. His own Yin Fire and Silkworm Gu were suppressed by the True Sun Fire, and the Mysterious Yin Pearl, having been previously shattered by Ni Fangxian, had just been re-refined and had lost much of its Primordial Qi, not daring to rely on it for a head-on clash and appearing to fall short in comparison as the Southern Sect Leader.

With his astonishing hearing, he could make out conversations between the Barbarian Monks of the Western Demon Cult from dozens of miles away, despite the distance and the roaring blaze mixed with the clamor of rattling Flying Swords and Magical Treasures.

One was saying that since the Green Robe Ancestor had his entire sect exterminated years ago, he had become like a plucked chicken, much weaker than before; he couldn't even maintain the façade of being a Sect Leader. From then on, the Demon Cult would only have eastern and western factions, with the south not fit to be mentioned in the same breath.

Another commented that there were really only eastern and western factions in the Demon Cult to begin with. The Green Robe Ancestor came from an Evil Path, with mixed and impure mana, definitely not the proper route of the Demon Sect; lacking a Lifebound Divine Demon, he could only play with worms in the mountains like those witch tribe sorcerers...

Stung by these comments, the Green Robe Ancestor roared in anger, summoning his mountain's treasure, the Hundred Poison Glass.

This treasure was formed from the saliva of countless venomous snakes and pythons collected from Bai Man Mountain and refined over hundreds of years. It resembled a large bowl with a crystal-clear, colorful, translucent appearance, as if crafted by skilled artisans.

Normally, he enlarged the object and inverted it over the top of Bai Man Mountain to serve as his palace. Inside, it was his dwelling, and in times of danger, he could use it to meet his foes.

Now, the Green Robe Ancestor raised it into the air, where it formed a glass dome, inverting downward. Colored Hundred Poison Smoke emerged from within, capturing the True Sun Fire and drawing it inside.

With his arms wide open, his bird-claw hands forming odd incantations, he continuously breathed out True Qi, enlarging the Glazed Tile Palace to an enormous size, almost covering the sky. He created an endless suction force below, drawing all the rolling flames into it relentlessly.

With massive amounts of True Sun Fire being captured, Shang Heyang's Demonic Flame quickly gained the upper hand. It engulfed everything as it surged forward, pressing down the True Sun Fire and trapping Huo Wuhai within.

Shang Heyang, seeing that Huo Wuhai had a unique physique and intending to refine him into a Divine Demon to enhance his Demon Fire Golden Banner's power, pressed his attack.

Unable to withstand the joint siege of the eastern and western Demon Sects, Huo Wuhai repeatedly tried to use the Sun Divine Needle to stab the skeletons in the eyes, to blow the True Sun Fire inside and burn the Nascent Soul demons within. But he never succeeded, acknowledging the Eastern Demon Sect's Sect Leader indeed lived up to his reputation. He prepared to use the Five Clouds Jade to break away from the encirclement and regroup with allies outside to stabilize the situation and fight again.

Deng Bagu's voice suddenly reached his ears, "There's no need to panic, Brother Huo, I am here to help you break his Demon Fire!"

As her words fell, a bright glow rose from below, like a moon ascending into the sky, surrounded by seven-colored lights.

The Snow Soul Pearl, the natural nemesis of all demonic fires in the world!

Under Shi Feiyang's guidance, Deng Bagu had refined the Snow Soul Pearl with Immortal Law and augmented it with heavenly materials and earthly treasures such as True Water, making it even more mystical and extraordinary. As it spun continuously, it scattered moonlight-like silver radiance that extinguished the Demon Fire wherever it passed!

Not only did Shang Heyang cultivate Demon Fire, but many members of the Western Demon Cult also possessed it. However, upon encountering the silver glow emitted by the Snow Soul Pearl, they were instantly dissipated.

Shang Heyang was greatly shocked. Recognizing it as the Snow Soul Pearl formed from the essence of ice and snow for eons, he frantically urged the Demon Fire Golden Banner, increasing the output of fire, but no matter how the Eastern Sect's Hierarch exerted himself, the Demon Fire could not reach within thirty feet of the Snow Soul Pearl!

Clothed in black, Deng Bagu rose up from below and with a point of her finger, the Ice Soul Divine Light around the Snow Soul Pearl began to surge, and nine Ice Soul Divine Light Swords flew out, directly aiming for Shang Heyang.

Shang Heyang dared not underestimate them and hastily called forth five White Bone Skulls to meet the attack.

Deng Bagu had originally been arranged to defend against enemies attacking from underwater, but since Huo Wuhai was in danger, Shi Feiyang sent her up to assist.

Since the Golden Ship was pulled up to the surface and Shi Feiyang boarded it, and the three sect leaders started to duel, barely a quarter of an hour had passed. The pace of the duel was extremely fast, and while it seemed that a lot had happened, in reality, it all took place in a very short span of time.

Shi Feiyang's plan this time was originally to tentatively retrieve the treasure. Sensing that Huo Wuhai was no match for the three sect leaders, he sent Deng Bagu up to aid him.

He knew that other enemies lay hidden nearby; once Deng Bagu left, they would attack. Nevertheless, he still sent Deng Bagu away.

Indeed, no sooner had Deng Bagu surfaced than a burst of Demon Fire shot up with a "bang" from the underwater cliffs to the north, like a massive cannonball hurling towards them, only to lightly descend upon the ship, revealing a figure in black—who was also an expert from the Eastern Demon Cult, Shang Heyang's disciple brother, and a disciple of Wuxing Venerable.

Upon surveying the situation inside the Golden Tower, which was hexagonal with all its doors and windows wide open, he could see nothing but glaring Golden Radiance within.

He unleashed two White Bone Flying Forks, enveloping himself with Demon Fire as he rushed into the Golden Radiance of the tower.

Just as Cai De entered the tower, several streaks of sword light submerged into the water from the north and south. From the south came twelve individuals from the Zhushan Sect, all eccentrically shaped Independent Immortals brandishing oddly formed Flying Swords—Triangular Swords, Crystal Swords, Bitter Bamboo Swords, Cold Bamboo Swords, Spirit Stone Swords—flying directly towards the ship, intent on snatching treasures aboard.

From the north came a female Daoist, none other than Zheng Dianxian, who Shi Feiyang had driven away. She threw the only Golden Dragon Shuttle she had left, aiming for the hull of the Golden Ship.

Her purpose today wasn't to fight for the treasures on the ship, but to shake the Golden Ship, sinking it and the people inside to the bottom of the water, to be trapped and potentially die there. Even if they didn't die, they could be trapped for decades. When her people took over the treasure collection, they would decide their fate.

At this moment, a figure flew out from inside the Golden Tower as well—it was Shi Feiyang, holding the Yu Ding. The Ding Cover flew up, and from within, five thousand Demon Beasts swarmed out.

Among the demon beasts in the Ding, three thousand were fierce creatures from ancient times, subdued and collected during the era of Yu the Great. Additionally, there were two thousand creatures that Shi Feiyang had slain at the Outer Heaven Divine Mountain, each with over five thousand years of Dao Level.

The ancient beasts were huge, with some in the sky and others on the land, capable of expanding to a hundred or two hundred zhang. The demon beasts that Shi Feiyang later added were mostly aquatic, with many like the chapter squid of Moyu, which, stretching out all hundreds of tentacles, covered the sky.

He used these Demon Beasts to deal with the individuals from the Zhushan Sect, while he faced Zheng Dianxian, unleashing the Suiren's Drill to bore into the Golden Dragon Shuttle.

Zheng Dianxian had never expected him to come out so quickly. According to her calculations, Shi Feiyang was supposed to be trapped by Cai De, leading to a fierce battle inside the Golden Tower. If they fought inside while she attacked the Golden Ship from outside, the gravitational pull akin to magnetic attraction would increase exponentially, causing the ship to plunge back into the abyss.

Seeing the Suiren's Drill, she grinded her teeth with vexation, hurriedly retrieving the Golden Dragon Shuttle, and without lingering, she turned and flew away.

Shi Feiyang did not pursue her, but instead returned to controlling the monsters from the Yu Ding to attack the Independent Immortals from the Zhushan Sect. These scavengers had never seen so many fierce beasts in their lives. The largest one completely covered the water's surface, lowering its head and glaring at them with huge eyes, with even a single scale larger than their bodies.

"Oh my mother!" Exclaimed the most inexperienced amongst them, managing a set of Bamboo Swords. Terrified, he turned and ran, merging with his sword, fleeing upwards, only to be swallowed whole by an Elephant Dragon that had opened its mouth wide.

The others scurried in panic, not daring to swim towards the surface. Instead, they hugged the riverbed and fled upstream and downstream, pursued by a horde of Demon Beasts like whales hunting for food. Some spewed out frigid breath and hail, while more simply opened their mouths to forcefully inhale and swallow, usually consuming both the people and their swords in one move.
