The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 302: 287 Xu Ha E Guai

Emei Mountain's Ningbi Cliff, standing tall and alone, with walls as steep as if cut by a knife. In that year, a "Buddha Light" appeared here, and Bai Mei Zen Master specially hastened to pay his respects and then engaged in wall-facing meditation at this very spot.

The characters within Shu Mountain are all "alive" and can evolve over time, most notably in their mana, especially those who chance upon a Heavenly Book, Magical Treasure, or Spiritual Medicine.

The first swordfight, the second swordfight, and the yet-to-come third swordfight, the changes in strength of the Three Immortals, Two Old, and One Child, including Bai Mei Monk, are all variable.

One must view the characters in this world with eyes that see growth over time, as it's incorrect to fixate an individual's strength at their initial appearance or at their final bow.

Bai Mei Monk's realm had also improved since the time he encountered Shi Feiyang in Beijing. Over the years, his troubles had gradually subsided, and his Zen grew stronger. Naturally, he was very formidable before, but now, he is even more so. During the process of his wall-facing Chan practice, he actually used the Great Sandalwood Buddha Light from his thousand years of cultivation to shine upon Ningbi Cliff, gradually integrating his body into the stone walls.

When the people of Emei arrived at the base of Ningbi Cliff, no one was seen outside, only a black and a white eagle stood atop the cliff.

They knew the old monk had delved deeply into the cliffside and prayed to him as juniors, stating that the Demon Dragon was refining demons and that a Great Demon was about to emerge. They wished to suppress the demon themselves but felt powerless due to their shallow Dao and weak strength, so they sought the Zen Master's help to cast spells and suppress evil.

After a long prayer, Bai Mei Monk did not show himself, but suddenly the air was filled with a scent of sandalwood that calmed both body and soul. Subsequently, golden light gathered on the cliffside, forming lines of text.

"Look quickly, the Zen Master has responded!"

They hurriedly examined the shining text, only to quickly become disappointed.

Bai Mei Monk wrote little, but the content was significant, informing them that the Demon Dragon possessed numerous Heavenly Stars Secret Demon Divine Shuttles, and should they all be detonated, the entire Central Earth Continent would be obliterated, returning to primordial chaos with the land splitting and sinking. His Buddhist Law was not yet perfected, so he could not suppress such Demon Treasures.

They were reluctant to give up and asked, "Must we let this Demon Dragon cause havoc unchallenged, rampant and beyond anyone's control?"

The writing changed again: "To subdue the Demon Dragon, you must wait for the emergence of the two ladies from Immortal City, who must acquire the Buddhist Luminous Seven Treasures Golden Banner and the Conch Leaf Talisman that can reverse time, only then combining them with the Liangyi Dust Formation to counter the Demon Shuttle."

The congregation exchanged glances, clueless as to the whereabouts of the Seven Treasures Golden Banner and the Conch Leaf Talisman.

Then, the text changed once more: "The Demon Dragon's fate is not yet exhausted, and he is not truly of the Demon Path. The current greatest enemy of Emei is the Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword. Once this sword is refined, blood will flow into rivers across the land, and many from the Emei Sect will meet calamity. Furthermore, a Great Demon from the West is set to emerge sooner than anticipated, and must not be underestimated."

After those words, the glow over Ningbi Cliff dissipated, and all was still.

They were very unwilling to accept this, but since Bai Mei Zen Master had spoken, even if they collectively marched to Gupo Ridge, not to mention the unpredictable outcome, a victory would surely come with heavy losses. Moreover, they had to guard against the Demon Dragon's desperate acts in the corner, likely to detonate the Secret Demon Divine Shuttle on his body and drag all beings of the Central Earth Continent to Hell with him, regardless of whether they were immortals or mortals.

Left with no choice, they could only give up.

In fact, there weren't just the Emei faction interested in intervening; there was also the Xuanyuan Dharma King, watching from afar with a Jade Ring using the "True Vision within Thousands of Miles" technique—a spell derived from the Spiritual Space Immortal Realm, akin to the "Thousand Mile Household Vision in a Bag" trick Shi Feiyang learned from Lady Bao Xiang.

He cast a spell on the Jade Ring, which clearly revealed the scene inside Gupo Ridge Cave:

How Shi Longgu was drenched in sweat, enduring extreme pain with her bulging belly, still clutching a seal and closing her eyes in an intense struggle.

Xiong Xue'er was sitting cross-legged on the platform, also covered in sweat, with a pale face and emitting Demon Light; it was clear his demonization was deep-rooted as he continually struggled to leap up, yet was bound by the Immortal Law and unable to rise.

Shi Feiyang, dressed in blue, with a treasure sword in hand, was in the middle of casting spells to capture the Heavenly Demon.

Xuanyuan Dharma King's disciples were all huddled around, peering into the ring.

"What is he doing? Is he really trying to capture the Heavenly Demon?"

His second disciple, the Demon Ancestor, said, "Can he really capture the Heavenly Demon? If that's true..."

He sounded envious. The Ghost Country he established was filled with weak ghosts, even fierce spirits and resentful souls could be crushed by his finger. If he could catch a Heavenly Demon for his own use, not only would his power greatly increase, but life in the Ghost Country would also become more interesting.

Xuanyuan Dharma King, however, shook his head: "You don't have the ability to capture a Heavenly Demon. If you encounter one, to remain true to your heart without falling for its illusions or having your Primordial Spirit captured would be fortunate enough!"

Indeed, Xuanyuan Dharma King lacked the means to capture a Heavenly Demon. As an Evil Path Patriarch often dealing with devils, he had methods to resist a Heavenly Demon but couldn't capture one...

It was a rare opportunity for someone to "live broadcast" the capture of a Heavenly Demon for him. Concentrating and calming his spirit, he was determined to observe carefully, intending to learn this technique. If it proved successful, he could capture other Heavenly Demons in the future, and with Xuanwu Wusha Luohou Blood Flame Divine Gang's dominance, whether it was resisting Heavenly Tribulation or wielding it against enemies, he would be invincible. With such a vast world, who else could control him?

He watched intently, committing to memory how Shi Feiyang arranged the Dharma Platform, placed the censers, and executed each seal and step.

Who would have known that at the most critical moment, Shi Feiyang suddenly turned his head and smiled at him from across the space within the ring, unleashing a sword strike through the air.

This strike was exceedingly fierce, as if it sought to split in half even those watching from within the ring!

The several lead disciples all subconsciously tilted their heads and bodies backwards; Xuanyuan Dharma King shouted in alarm, hastily casting a spell, but it was already too late.

With a "snap," the Transmission Jade Ring that he had spent much effort refining split into two pieces!

Shi Feiyang broke Xuanyuan Dharma King's spying technique first, then he began to collect the Heavenly Demons.

Beyond Xuanyuan Dharma King, there was another formidable figure spying from a distance, which was Grandmaster Ha Ha from the Wildman Mountain in Guizhou.

This fellow was one of the Southwest's Five Freaks and Three Demons, and although not among the Cosmic Six Strange, he was as famous as the Fire Spirit Divine Monarch, with extremely powerful mana.

He had made a name for himself around the world during the Eastern Jin Dynasty as one of the Five Freaks and Three Demons. With a thousand years of cultivation, his mana had grown boundlessly. However, having deviated into demonism, he still sat on the Dharma Platform, stiff as a zombie, immobile to this day, only able to travel in spirit form. Yet even so, he had playfully defeated Mié Chénzi in three days and nights, taking him as a disciple and adding Zen Master Xiao Yue to the world.

Zen Master Xiao Yue even thought to leverage his power to suppress Emei, to clean house with external forces, and to regain the position of Sect Leader.

However, Grandmaster Ha Ha covertly controlled Zen Master Xiao Yue's primordial spirit with Yin Demon techniques; whatever Xiao Yue thought, he knew, and could give subtle suggestions and guidance, making him do as he wished.

The Yin Demon differed from other demons, belonging to the category of Formless Divine Demons, lacking a physical body or even a form—invisible, intangible, without trace, the Yin Demon specialized in attacking the six senses, infiltrating the six roots and influencing one's mind. Even Zen Master Xiao Yue, with his high Dao level and having cultivated the Nine Heavens Mysterious Scripture, was completely unaware of it.

This old fiend also had his eyes on the nine emerging Demon Infants and plotted to steal them.

According to his usual tactics, he would have sent a Yin Demon to cast the spell, but today's tribulation was brought about by the presence of the Demon Embryo, aimed specifically at demons, and so the Yin Demon dared not come. He instead employed another spell, ordering his disciple to erect three Demon Banners outside, and then cast spells to induce a remote response from the demon, rotating several wheels and calculating the outcome by the results.

His method combined the sensing of Demon Divine Power with the Daoist Yi Shu calculations; though he couldn't see directly as Xuanyuan Dharma King did, his accuracy was extremely high, and without being susceptible to any counter-spells, Shi Feiyang could not confuse him, even if he inverted Yin and Yang or disrupted the technique.

However, Shi Feiyang also deduced his actions and knew he could not leave the cavern; he must watch over Shi Longgu and the Demon Infant in her belly every moment. Once he left, Grandmaster Ha Ha would find a way to enter and steal the Demon Infant, rendering all his efforts a wedding dress for this old fiend.

Therefore, he sat in the cave without leaving for a moment, performing all his spells from a distance.

Grandmaster Ha Ha had been waiting for him to leave the cave, staring eagerly but unexpectedly, Shi Feiyang employed methods beyond his imagination to deal with the two subsequent heavenly tribulations.

When the Heavenly Tribulation arrived, dense masses of Heavenly Thunder struck the Dragon Ball, exploding into myriad sparks of brilliance and Infinite Radiance.

Using the divine power of the demon, Grandmaster Ha Ha saw this spectacle, sighed deeply, realizing that today's affairs were no longer feasible, and thus he retracted his spell and divine powers to continue sitting in meditation and cultivation.

Shi Feiyang calmly passed through the three tribulations, which were meant for the Nine Demons, but he took them on himself in their stead.

The Nine Demons were supposed to undergo the cleansing of the Heavenly Tribulation; if they couldn't pass through, they would be reduced to ashes, but if they did pass, they could become lawless and unrestrained, without any concern, rampaging across the world.

Now that Shi Feiyang had accepted the baptism of the Heavenly Tribulation, with the aura of the tribulation upon him, this tribulation aura was precisely what suppressed the Nine Demons. Now, when the Nine Demons looked upon Shi Feiyang, it was as if they were regarding the Heavenly Tribulation itself. Being fixed by his will, they felt as though they were targeted by the tribulation, becoming obedient and not daring to act rashly, doing their utmost to show Shi Feiyang their docility.

Similarly, the Chaos Dragon Ball and the Purple And Blue Divine Flames that underwent the Heavenly Tribulation cleansing also frightened the Nine Demons. Not only them, but this Heavenly Tribulation was specifically aimed at demon creatures, and henceforth, all demons in the world would feel frightened when they saw these two items, not daring to look directly at them.

Once the clouds of tribulation dissipated, Shi Feiyang withdrew his spells and, using a Jade Blade prepared beforehand, cut open Shi Longgu's belly. The nine Demon Infants, propelled by blood and energy, shot out, flying chaotically.

Shi Feiyang glowered, and the Demon Infants felt as if the tribulation was upon them. Immediately they obediently fell into the bath tubs prepared in advance by Xiong Xue'er, swimming and bathing to cleanse their bodies.

Seeing Xiong Xue'er, the Nine Demons craved his vital spirit, energy and blood. Shi Feiyang tapped their heads with the Nine Heavens Yuan Yang Ruler and admonished, "He is your father! I'll teach you about filial piety first!"

He shaped the character "filial" with the Essence Qi of the Five Elements, carrying his own understanding of "filial piety," and firmly implanted it into the minds of the Nine Demons.

He let Xiong Xue'er use Elixirs and Spiritual Glue to paste Shi Longgu's belly back together, to facilitate its healing and regeneration. After washing the Nine Demons, through the connection of their hearts and minds, they transmitted their own feelings of hunger directly to him.

These nine were not sub-demons but mother-demons, who needed to grow quickly, but to grow, they required to consume acquired foods, preferably fresh blood and flesh. Consuming only Spiritual Medicine and Spiritual Energy would keep them in their infantile appearance forever.

There was no one deserving of death nearby...

Shi Feiyang looked around with a finger on his chin: no one had come to take advantage of the situation, the clouds had cleared, yet not a single person from either the righteous or evil paths had come.
