Over a thousand years ago, Master Changmei was born and once again entered into Daoist cultivation.
He had already cultivated in two previous lives and had taken on disciples like Xuan Zhenzi, Mie Chenzi, Qi Shuming, and twelve others.
Deng Yin had been his sworn brother for three lives. Initially, it was Deng Yin who first became the disciple of Chu Sanzi, and later, he led Master Changmei to become a disciple under Master Taiyuan.
Later, because of the Blood God Scripture, Master Changmei saved Deng Yin by sending him to reincarnate, while he himself also underwent Soldier Disintegration. His twelve disciples also followed suit, undergoing Soldier Disintegration and reincarnating for re-cultivation.
In this last life, he was born in the Ren family village in Xiaogan, Hubei, and was named Ren Shou.
Soon after, he encountered Deng Yin, who had also reincarnated, on the back mountain of Wudang Mountain. They swore brotherhood once more, and by a twist of fate, he attained the millennium Purple Ganoderma, Spiritual Jade Peak, and the Purple and Blue Double Swords.
That Spiritual Jade Peak was a rare treasure of the Nine Heavens Immortal Mansion, stronger and more wonderful than other Heavenly Treasures; it contained the numerous miraculous uses of the Liangyi Six Harmonies. Atop the peak, it also harbored Magnetic True Qi, which could capture various kinds of Flying Swords and Magical Treasures made from the Five Elements.
At that time, even the Purple and Blue Double Swords would have been taken away by force upon encountering the Spiritual Jade Peak.
Later, Tian Dou and Ming He sought to use the Spiritual Jade Peak for their tribulation and borrowed it, removing the Magnetic True Qi stored at the peak and refining it into the Purple and Blue Double Swords. From that moment, the double swords no longer feared Magnetic True Qi.
Master Changmei spent hundreds of years in arduous study of the Spiritual Jade Peak, from which he comprehended the miraculous life and destruction within the Liangyi, creating the renowned Liangyi Six Harmonies Microdust Formation, deemed the number one Immortal Array in the Shushan World. For this alone, to call him the foremost Daoist of the past millennium in this world was no exaggeration.
The most complete version of the Liangyi Dust Formation lay on Emei Mountain, using the entire Emei Sect as its foundation, drawing the Dragon Vein's earth energy for power, and employing the Taiqing One Qi Divine Talisman as the Array's eye. It truly could evolve a Vast Primordial World from within the Liangyi Dust Formation, both real and illusory, with infinite marvels.
This Array could not be moved. Master Changmei once forged a set of twelve small flags, which he could use any time to set up the Array to capture Deng Yin, eventually imprisoning Deng Yin on the Star Constellation Sea Floor for over three hundred years.
Deng Yin also contemplated this simplified version of the Array, yet after three hundred years, he still had not fully comprehended it and could not escape.
When he spoke to Shi Feiyang, he concealed many critical aspects and only briefly mentioned the six transformations of the gates. His main intent was to have Shi Feiyang aid his escape.
Shi Feiyang, proficient in techniques and having studied the Three Emperors Dao for many years, pondered: Ren Shou could do it, why couldn't I? In the years of his cultivation, he meticulously deduced this Array.
The so-called Wuji generates Taiji, Taiji generates Liangyi, Liangyi generates the Four Images, and the Four Images generate the Eight Diagrams... These most fundamental principles are shared by all; that is, the Huaxia civilization's derivations, whether in medicine, architecture, astronomy, geography, customs, rituals, music, creation, naming, and so on, all have the same underlying logic.
Therefore, Shi Feiyang also refined twelve Jade Talismans, split into six pairs, each with its Yin and Yang, the six gates of concealment, clarity, illusion, obliteration, life, and death, each having one Yin gate and one Yang gate. The interplay of Yin Yang generated and restrained each other, with some paths leading through, others cutting off, each with their mystery, diverging from the pattern of Array that Master Changmei had used.
The Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword was terrified upon realizing his presence; it remembered how Shi Feiyang had nonchalantly used Suiren's Drill back then, exploding its still developing body into two halves with ferocious cruelty!
It knew that using Zhao Xinyuan's body would not be enough to contend with Shi Feiyang, let alone to escape. Hence, it utilized Zhao Xinyuan to perform the Heavenly Demon Disintegration Great Technique, forcing Shi Feiyang to defend himself while it entered one of the eight bodies and took control, urging them to fly off in all directions at breakneck speed.
The twelve gates corresponded to the twelve Yuan Chen Star Palaces in the sky, beginning with the Child Palace's Void Sun Rat and ending with the Hai Palace's Chamber Fire Pig, all shimmering with golden light akin to Heavenly Gates, each surrounded by colorful radiance, with seemingly endless starry skies beyond them.
That Demon Sword, maneuvering nine streaks of blood light, entered each gate. The gates, interlinked together, were immediately sealed shut by Shi Feiyang just after they penetrated, and they reappeared above Tian Dou Peak.
This place was the location of the fiercest Illusion Gate within the Liangyi Dust Formation. The twelve gates in the sky were all derived appearances, with the real Death Gate at the staircase, while the Illusion Gate was at the very center.
The nine streaks of blood light appeared simultaneously, clashing together into a blood mist wrapped in a layer of Five-Colored Radiance. The blood mist pulsed, tumbling within the radiance, but could no longer escape.
The Illusion Gate was the essence of this Array, with the core notion of evolving an immense Primordial World from Liangyi Dust completed within the Illusion Gate.
Shi Feiyang's Array also strove to bring the concept of "illusion" to its peak. The Demon Sword lost its sense of time and space within the Five-Colored Radiance, as if it were drifting in endless outer space, accelerating perpetually, whilst actually remaining in place.
Shi Feiyang extended his left hand, emitting five streams of colored light in parallel, injecting them into the radiance in the air. The radiance turned from pale to rich and began to compress inward forcefully.
With a "bang!" the blood mist inside exploded, leaving only a Demon Sword still trying to escape.
Shi Feiyang turned his left palm upwards, continuously outputting Five Finger Divine Light, drawing down the colored radiance. The sword shrank and finally landed in his palm like a toothpick.
It wasn't until then that the Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword realized escape was impossible and hurriedly pleaded to Shi Feiyang: "Master Shi! Master Shi, how wonderful! Since our last parting at the Star Constellations Sea, this humble sword has missed Master Shi and has longed to become your personal sword, to abide by your will – where your heart desires, my sword tip shall point... Your Daoist Technique is exquisite; if I could be governed by your will, this humble sword could shed its body and transform, and fuse the qi towards Dao at an earlier time..."
