Zhang Qijie and Qu Bamei continuously cast various spells, emitting corpse Qi, green fire, and cold flames.
Under normal circumstances, these youngsters wouldn't be able to resist and would have been easily slain by these spells; however, they were now countered by the Sword Formation. No matter what the two women released, it would be shattered and dispersed by golden light thunder before it could take form. Their Flying Swords, Corpse Sticks, Flying Forks, and coffin nails were also continuously caught in the sword net, struck by lightning and electricity and ground into dust!
During these days trapped in the village, the two women had realized that a master must have intervened as these youngsters continued to revive from death. Observing closely, they found it was in fact their real bodies, not illusions—though they could not understand how, they knew they had provoked someone formidable. Now, each trapped within a group in the Sword Formation, they had reached a dead end.
Then Qu Bamei repeatedly pleaded, "Yuan Yang Emperor! I do not know which senior True Immortal you are, but we sisters have no grudge against you. Even if Jiumei did something wrong and offended you, we sisters usually scattered in different places do not interact. I implore the Emperor not to displace anger onto us..."
No matter how she pleaded, Shi Feiyang did not respond.
After fighting for the duration of a meal, Qu Bamei, slightly weaker in Mana and already having lost her will to battle, had her protective magical treasure shattered. Twelve Heavenly Thunder Flying Swords then pierced her body, followed by violent golden electrical arcs that crackled explosively, bombarding her for a while before calming down.
The youngsters recalled their Flying Swords. Qu Bamei lay dead on the ground with her eyes wide open, her body punctured with many transparent holes yet bleeding none, her mouth agape and gray smoke billowing from her ears, nostrils, and throat—The Corpse Qi dispersed by the Taiyin Divine Thunder.
Shortly after Qu Bamei's death, Zhang Qijie was also swiftly executed, dying with her eyes staring outstretched on the ground!
The youngsters let out a cheer together and began searching the spoils of combat.
Actually, there wasn't much in the way of spoils to pick up as the women's Flying Swords, Flying Forks, and various Magical Treasures were destroyed in the battle. However, the Qiankun Bag contained several materials for corpse refining, and some yellowed booklets introduced various corpse poisons, corpse medicines, and techniques for corpse refining.
Though the nine sisters of the Pima Sect were taught by the same Master, each learned slightly different skills—hence the essentials varied. Each had their insights and achievements in the process of corpse Cultivation noted down in booklets, including detailed rituals like how many lamps to light, how many talismans to burn, which hours to set out bowls of clear water, and how many Copper Coins and jade plugs to place in the mouths and anuses of corpses.
Shi Feiyang also recovered the secret manuals originally directed toward nine aunts and, using the Heavenly Mechanism Book, informed these youngsters. He chose three of them to inherit the way of corpses, instructing them to specialize in this Cultivation from now on. The secret manuals served as a reward but also obligated them not to quit—otherwise, they would be completely eradicated, with returning to their original world as humans made impossible, alongside bearing all related responsibilities of the corpse path.
After discussing together, three were chosen who expressed their willingness to accept this reward.
Shi Feiyang then handed over three Daoist books to them and issued an immediate task to refine Zhang Qijie and Qu Bamei into Flying Corpses.
In fact, the reward for this "extermination of zombies" had already been given by Shi Feiyang in advance; it was the Heavenly Thunder Sword and Heavenly Thunder Sword Formation they wielded, clarified during the Sword Refining process earlier.
However, for the three who contributed the most and showed the greatest enthusiasm, additional rewards were given: a thousand Dragon Coins each plus a Magical Treasure.
Cao Yunfei had always been the most enthusiastic, fearless in battle and quick-witted. He was the first chosen by Shi Feiyang to come to this world, constantly harboring an urge to maintain the strongest position, not wanting to be surpassed by newcomers, often eagerly taking on tasks others were unwilling or afraid to undertake.
Shi Feiyang gave him a piece of Cloud Barrier, a small piece plucked from his own Mica Tent.
The other two received protective Dharma Treasures as well.
Through this battle, these children were tempered and grew amidst repeated encounters with Death.
When they returned to the world of Earth, besides their prior Qigong, they began to cultivate the newly learnt Daoist Techniques, primarily the Inner Refining Method of Nine Heavens Mysterious Scripture and Taiyin Divine Thunder. At the beginning of their cultivation, they could only feel the True Qi moving inside their bodies like thunder and lightning—initially very weak, barely causing a tingling sensation, but as they cultivated further, it grew stronger, allowing them to shatter internal blood stasis and pathologies with a mere thought.
Should they suffer a bruise or bump, it would heal back to normal within half a day. If catching a cold, they would use Thunder Techniques to drive True Qi from the crown down through the governor and conception vessels connection points, immediately clearing a blocked nose. After several repetitions, with meridians flowing smoothly, the cold would also be cured, along with other numerous marvelous functions.
Although unable to externalize it yet, they all found it magical and fun, practicing silently without needing encouragement, as during class, they could gather Qi and control Thunder while traversing both the Minor and Major Circulation pathways, and yet, the teacher's words still clearly entered their ears and deeply imprinted in their minds, with abundant energy and greatly improved memory. Both the Dan Skill, Thunder Skill, and academic performance quickly progressed together.
Shi Feiyang knew that the Blood God Child planned to take a detour and use this as a springboard to circumvent the Liangyi Dust Formation that trapped him, which also made him very nervous. He couldn't predict what the Blood God Child could do and kept searching for his traces with his mind, but always to no avail.
Luckily, from the Gua Xiang, it seemed that the Blood God Child couldn't descend to Earth yet. At present, he should be garnering followers, but Earth had plenty of evil cults, and Deng Yin would not create a "Demon Cult" or "Blood God Sect." He could only slowly search for traces of his presence.
These children cultivated bit by bit, and although they underwent brutal selection and refinement, their growth rate was still not fast enough.
After all, the Demon Path Techniques grew much faster!
At present, Shi Feiyang had not found any among them who could cultivate Demon Path Techniques without harm, like himself...
Not to mention anything else, with just the performance of the Great Heavenly Demon Dance, none of these young virgins could withstand it.
He needed to find a way, to go there himself, or not to go and send someone else instead...
It definitely couldn't be Escheng Fan. Despite appearing obedient like a docile dog on the surface and only acting coquettishly to please him, once he was off his leash, who knew what kind of trouble he might cause! Initially planning to send him to the Demon Realm, a place filled with Demons, was one thing, but it was impossible on Earth...
It was also meaningless to send someone too weak; they at least had to withstand a few rounds against Deng Yin, and ideally, someone who could suppress him, but in all the land... there really was one!
Shi Feiyang thought of Bai Qun Daoist, Gongye Huang.
In the original, when Emei opened its gates, Deng Yin went to cause havoc, ready to pounce on anyone and commence a massacre.
As a result, he was trapped by the top Buddhist masters together, swallowed several of Yan Yingmu's Qiantian Taiyin Soundless Divine Thunders right away, and was battered brutally, with many of his hard-earned magics broken.
As he started to pounce on people, he was then ambushed by a large group of Sword Immortals, with countless Immortal Swords linked together and various Divine Thunders violently bombarding him.
These ordinary thunders and swords couldn't harm him. Although he couldn't break through, he managed to remain uninjured, except that Gongye Huang's inconspicuous Flying Sword, shaped like an ink dragon, cut him at the waist, and he unexpectedly couldn't immediately reconnect!
In past years, the master of Stone God Palace let his body bump against Master Changmei's Purple and Blue Double Swords, allowing the swords to slice across the body and rejoin seamlessly, like drawing a knife through water, without any harm.
Deng Yin's prowess wasn't as great as that of the master of Stone God Palace, but most Flying Swords that chopped at him had the same effect, with all sorts of Flying Swords slicing at him and rejoining seamlessly. Only the Ink Dragon Flying Sword gave him a significant disadvantage!
Gongye Huang was just one step away from ascending. If he voluntarily decided to ascend to Earth instead of the Spiritual Space Immortal Realm, and with Shi Feiyang's help, there was a high chance of success.
If he could ascend to Earth in his Yang God form, even if he couldn't defeat Deng Yin, he would at least suppress him, preventing him from wreaking havoc.
The only issue was how to convince him to forgo the Immortal Realm, as that was a major problem given that cultivators worked hard with the goal of ascending to the Immortal Realm.
Shi Feiyang sat in the Liangyi Palace, silently and meticulously calculating the past, present, and future life trajectories of Gongye Huang, striving with all his Heart Power to find a solution within these trajectories.
Escheng Fan sensed his thoughts and flew out from the Heavenly Mechanism Book, "Emperor, if you want Old Huang to obey, that's simple!"
