The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 482: 395 Jiulei God

Jiulei God and his wife hurried from the South Sea to the sky above Yuan River, seeking Huo Wuhai to avenge Fu Gua by punishing the Old Demon.

At that moment, Huo Wuhai was fully engaged in a duel with Gu Chen, whose Mystics Yin Soul Refining Formation was extremely powerful. Though it was not as formidable as the Liangyi Dust Formation, driven by Gu Chen, it could manifest endless wonders. It was one of the three ultimate skills upon which the Sky Lusting Sect Leader had relied to dominate the world in the past.

Fortunately, Huo Wuhai had the Supreme Heaven Fierce Fire Formation, which Shi Feiyang had helped him refine.

This Supreme Heaven Fierce Fire Formation, obtained by the Huashan Sect, was incomplete. Huo Wuhai had only seized the flags. How to set up and alter the formation he had deduced together with Shi Feiyang, ultimately resulting in a formation different from the original one from Ancient Times, and also different from the one worked out by the Fiery Fire Ancestor and Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor of the Huashan Sect.

Huo Wuhai placed the Supreme Heaven Fierce Fire Formation around the Sun Divine Pearl; he reversed the gates of the array, initially emitting fire inward, now altered to emit fire outward, to counter the encompassing Mystics Yin Soul Refining Formation.

Inside, Huo Wuhai used the Supreme Heaven Fierce Fire Formation to isolate inside from outside, locking down Gu Chen's Second Primordial Spirit, relentlessly fighting. He intended to first annihilate Gu Chen's Second Primordial Spirit and then engage in a fight to the death with Gu Chen's true form. Outside, Gu Chen had used the Mystics Yin Soul Refining Formation to isolate inside from outside, intending to refine both the Sun Divine Pearl and Huo Wuhai into ashes.

At this critical juncture, the couple, the Jiulei God, arrived—he not only possessed a millennium of cultivation and high mana but also cultivated the most famous nuclear weapons-grade Magical Treasure of Shu Mountain, the Nine Child Mother Thunder Pearl.

This Thunder Pearl, also a treasure to counter Heavenly Tribulations, was normally only as big as a teacup. Once activated, it would instantly erupt into a blaze stretching ten thousand feet tall, penetrating the heavens above and the underworld below, directly blowing open the Earth's crust, summoning Earth Core Earth Extreme True Fire and endless magma. This would result in the melting of mountains and lands within a thousand miles, turning all life into Tribulation Ash.

After the explosion, the dust stirred by the Yin Thunder connected to the sky, with sand and stones energized by magic rubbing and charging each other, turning into fine dust until completely vanishing, releasing enormous amounts of energy in the process, transforming into countless Mars-like fireballs, continually drawing Earth Fire magma from the Earth's core, creating a massive fire whirlwind that persisted for years. From a thousand miles away, it looked like a pillar of fiery colors reaching into the sky!

With the cultivation level of this couple, if they actually forced their way here, not to mention Huo Wuhai losing his life between two formidable opponents, the entire treasure acquisition at Yuan River would be jeopardized.

Just as the Jiulei God was about to reach the airspace above Yuan River, suddenly from the west came a Five-Colored Radiance shooting like a breathtaking long rainbow, piercing through the vast dark evil of Mystics Yin, splitting it open, and diagonally blocking in front of the Jiulei God couple. Immediately, the radiance dispersed, revealing a short-statured Taoist within.

"Cang Lingzi!" Jiulei God was startled upon seeing him. He had repeatedly calculated who he might encounter on his way, but he had not anticipated Cang Lingzi's appearance!

Cang Lingzi was only three feet tall, quite short and skinny compared to the tall and handsome Jiulei God, barely reaching his waist, yet he radiated an impressive aura, his unusual appearance striking, with a long beard fluttering across his chest and a long sword on his back, dressed in an apricot-yellow Daoist robe and barefoot in straw sandals, his eyes swirling with colorful lights, commanding respect.

Cang Lingzi blocked Jiulei God's path, "Fellow Jiulei! You should not have come today!"

Jiulei God already understood his intention and smirked bitterly, "Today, I brought my wife here to seek vengeance against Huo Wuhai, that demon, for my father-in-law's past grievance. Why would you, Fellow, trouble yourself in these murky waters?"

Cang Lingzi said, "Fellow Shi once showed me kindness; his disciples and followers are here hunting for treasures. A few days ago, he specifically sent a Flying Sword Transmission to me, requesting my presence as a protector. Whatever grievances you have with his disciples, I don't care and cannot interfere, but today, at this time and place, I cannot allow you to trouble his disciples."

His words were quite brusque. Jiulei God had yet to speak when his wife, the Goddess, standing beside him, wouldn't have it.

The Goddess, equal to a "Sect Princess" in the Demon Sect, was naturally fiery and fierce; otherwise, she wouldn't have earned such a title. She pointed at Cang Lingzi and shouted, "You congenitally disabled midget! What Daoist power do you possess to lecture us? The world is vast; we, husband and wife, venture everywhere, why should we suffer your meddling, you midget? I..."

She was cut off by Jiulei God, who then turned to Cang Lingzi, saying, "My wife is concerned about her father-in-law's past and spoke in haste. Please forgive her, Fellow. Nonetheless, we have traveled thousands of miles here today for the hatred of the old Taishan, which cannot be dissolved and will not rest. We seek only those responsible, the chief culprits, that demon Huo Wuhai among others. As long as Fellow Shi does not intervene, we will not blame him. Should we meet him later, we will still address him as Fellow…"

Cang Lingzi shook his head, "Since I have been invited here by Fellow Shi's transmission, there's no reason for retreat or yielding. Unless Fellow Jiulei relies on your mana to first take my life and then seek your revenge. In that case, though I might wish to stop you, I would be powerless."

The Goddess shouted again, "We, husband and wife, bear you, this dwarf, no grudges; you, of slight stature and limited aspirations, set yourself up against others, coming out to seek death…"

Jiulei God again stopped his wife and pulled her behind him, continuing to persuade Cang Lingzi, "Fellow, we have never been enemies, and I have long admired and hoped for divine communication with you, lamenting that there was no chance to meet. I know you possess high mana and are close to Ascension; why jeopardize your life for others? Although I am untalented and perhaps no match for you, my father-in-law left me a few sect-defining treasures before his demise. Should it really come to a duel, if I hurt you and delay your Ascension, wouldn't that be an unnecessary tribulation I invoked?"

He spoke with extreme humility, a stark contrast to the old saying that with a virtuous wife, a husband faces no adversity. For this couple, it was quite the opposite. The wife, the Sect Hierarch of the Demon Cult, had a fiery temper and was lawless, while Jiulei God was mild-mannered. Whenever she intended to rely on spells to commit violence, Jiulei God would stop her.

In recent centuries, Jiulei God even closed the palace gates, staying inside the Demon Palace with his wife and children, enjoying luxuries and forbidding anyone from going out and causing trouble.

Of course, Jiulei God was also very capable, often managing to "use softness to overcome hardness" when dealing with his fierce wife. Despite having such a formidable wife, he still took a concubine, a woman named Song Xiangwa, the Black Goddess. Though her skin was dark, her body was fragrant, making one feel warm all over and linger in her presence...

Jiulei God's son, Hei Chou, was both ugly and dark-skinned. Officially, he was the son of Jiulei God and the Sect Hierarch, born before Song Xiangwa joined the Jiule Sect. However, many speculated that Hei Chou was actually the son of Jiulei God and Song Xiangwa, attributing it to the Demon Path Great Technique's mysterious ability to transfer and transform fetuses.

Only the Sect Hierarch, naively, raised Hei Chou as her own son. Hei Chou often clashed with Song Xiangwa, defending his mother. Arguments were common, but Hei Chou never dared to resort to violence for fear of his father's punishment.

Cang Lingzi knew this rumor and blurted it out on the spot to deeply provoke the Sect Hierarch, returning the favor for her derogatory remark about his manhood.

Indeed, the Sect Hierarch was furious, unleashing her Flying Sword without hesitation. With a wail as harrowing as a night owl's, she flung her hand, sending out a massive dark cloud filled with countless gold-green fire sparks raining down on Cang Lingzi like a storm.

Cang Lingzi released his own Flying Sword and added the Separation and Reunion Divine Light, quickly matching her overwhelming force.

Seeing this, Jiulei God had no choice but to act, releasing his Flying Sword Magical Treasure, joining forces with his wife to attack Cang Lingzi.

Cang Lingzi's Daoist power was originally not greater than Jiulei God's. Due to Shi Feiyang's help years ago at Immortal Mountain, where he received a Red Snake and a Xuan Turtle, he escaped a fated calamity. Had he and Xiong Man lost their virtue that day, his cultivation would have reached its limits, necessitating another start from scratch in a next life. Having avoided that fate and progressing over the years, he was now on the verge of becoming a Heavenly Immortal. His Primordial Spirit was nearing Pure Yang, with only a trace of yin residue left unrefined—his achievements were incomparable to days past, which was why he was so grateful to Shi Feiyang.

His Separation and Reunion Divine Light, unlike Master You Tan's, was fundamentally the same, yet while Master You Tan employed Buddhist Law in his practice, becoming akin to Buddha Light, Cang Lingzi's Divine Light remained an unconventional method with many wondrous uses that grew increasingly powerful and divergent. His Divine Light, colorful and brilliant, gathered into a spectacle that resembled a crystal illuminated by colorful lights creating a rainbow-like illusion, completely enveloping the dark clouds and gold stars unleashed by the Sect Hierarch.

The colorful light responded to his thoughts, vigorously expanding in all directions, enveloping Jiulei God and his wife, seemingly trapping the couple within it.

This action angered Jiulei God, who with a gesture released his self-cultivated Yin Thunder.

Jiule Yin Thunder, unique under the heavens, formed from the perennial gloomy and ferocious energy from the earth's core, could corrupt the enemy's Flying Sword Magical Treasure, breaking through anything, whether it be people or mountains; once hit, the target would instantly explode into white Tribulation Ash!

Before being used, it was the size of a pea, but when released, it transformed into trails of green flame. A single Thunder Pearl could blast an area of several hundred feet into ash and smoke.

Especially valuable for countering Heavenly Tribulation Thunder Fire, in the original tale, when Hei Chou used the Thunder Pearl, it was collected by Li Jingxu and passed on to Xiang Fangshu. Later, when Emei was established, Xiong Xue'er obtained several for his teacher, delighting beyond measure... Now, Cang Lingzi no longer needed this item for passing his Heavenly Tribulation but had to face its attack directly.

Jiulei God's move was the Nine Thunderballs, each infused with his mana, increasing their power substantially. The nine streaks of green fire hit the colorful light with consecutive explosions, bubbling Green Flame and scattering a large portion of the Separation and Reunion Divine Light.

Cang Lingzi, well aware of the power of Jiulei God's Yin Thunder, released his ninety-nine Tianxin Swords, turning them into nearly a hundred white glints that wildly jabbed at the couple.

Jiulei God countered with his Flying Sword, and over a hundred streaks of sword light tangled chaotically, sparks flying everywhere. The Separation and Reunion Divine Light gathered and dispersed, shrouding dozens of miles around, forcefully enveloping the couple, who released Yin Thunder in all directions causing explosions. The colorful light and Green Flame flew together in a tumultuous clash of advance and retreat.

Once Cang Lingzi's Separation and Reunion Divine Light enveloped someone, it disoriented all their senses – sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch, causing them to feel alternately cold and hot and disrupting their sensations completely, leading to all sorts of hallucinations. In the original story, Situ Ping and Qin Hanye were caught in this light, rewarding each other in their delusion and losing their virtue, ending up as Earth Immortals, raising children in the human realm while watching their sister Ziling ascend alone.

Jiulei God, with his high Daoist power, would naturally not sink to this level but was considerably distressed. From their perspective, they saw disorienting colorful light in all directions; the ninety-nine Tianxin Swords constantly moved in and out, flying and striking unpredictably, making it impossible to tell east from west.

The Sect Hierarch, affected by the Separation and Reunion Divine Light, was tormented to the point of confusion. Her face flushed red, and her body alternated between cold and hot extremes, exceedingly uncomfortable and furiously screaming furiously at Cang Lingzi.

Jiulei God drew out the Chi You Nine Palace Mirror, left by Fu Gua and Old Demon, reflecting and calculating on the spot, continuously revealing Cang Lingzi's position, then launching more Yin Thunder to break the Separation and Reunion Divine Light and charging straight towards Cang Lingzi.
