The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 500: 407 Gather to take shape disperse to become qi_2

Everyone had gained benefits and was eager to return to the mountains to cultivate and make breakthroughs. Even Jiang Shu and Ling Hun, as a couple, were no exception. Shi Feiyang talked to them again about water control and forest creation to resist the cold wave.

In the end, only Shi Feiyang remained on Qiao Mountain, along with a few of his personal disciples and the grandfather-grandson duo, Zhu Zaiyu and Zhu Changyuan.

Shi Feiyang and Zhu Zaiyu reevaluated the geomancy, corrected the heavenly numbers and earthly energies, channeled the Heavenly Gang, and gathered the Earth Evil. They first repaired the prohibitions within the Holy Mausoleum, adding two layers of prohibition techniques, and on the surface, they set up a Triple Immortal Formation, sealing off the entire Qiao Mountain.

There were still treasures inside the Holy Mausoleum that inevitably tempted others, but the array they set up together was impenetrable to ordinary people, unless top masters like Xin Ru and Bai Mei came, but even they would have to expend significant effort. Shi Feiyang, even from thousands of miles away, could instantly sense any disturbance; he reckoned they would not come just to embarrass themselves.

At last, Zhu Zaiyu returned to the Huanxu Immortal Mansion in Taihang Mountain, and Shi Feiyang returned to Mingyu Immortal Market.

Once he was inside his own Underground Palace in the Immortal Market, Shi Feiyang immediately began his closed-door cultivation.

This treasure acquisition had been enormously fruitful for him; first was the Purple and Blue Duoluo Fire, possessing the Divine Oil from ten thousand years before the ancient times, not only did its power increase manifold, but it was also tremendously beneficial to Shi Feiyang's own cultivation.

He used his Primordial Essence, Primordial Qi, and Primordial Spirit to merge with the three Divine Flames. Originally, these three treasures were to condense the Three Flowers atop his head in the future, but now they combined prematurely with the three Divine Flames, equivalent to him possessing the Three Flowers ahead of time.

A Heavenly Immortal's Primordial Spirit of Pure Yang, coupled with the Three Flowers atop, ensured protection against any Yin Demon invasions.

The Purple and Blue Duoluo Fire itself was an object feared by all heavens gods and demons. Combining it with the Three Flowers made it even more impervious to countless demons!

Shi Feiyang first extracted three drops of oil to melt into the Divine Flames, then combined it with his own essence, energy, and spirit to refine and expel the yin residue. He soon entered the "Harmonization" Realm, and the three Divine Flames calmly burned in the void...

This burning lasted three years. When Shi Feiyang emerged from his meditative state, most of the oil in the bottle had been used.

He put away the oil, sent out his Primordial Spirit, which took the form of a human made from Purple and Blue Light Flames, with the three Divine Flames burning atop his head and radiant light shining from his eyes.

Next, he retracted the fire energy, landed on the ground and returned to his normal self, his muscles, bones, hair, facial features, and condensed Primordial Spirit now just like those of a regular person.

Turning back, he saw his physical body still sitting upright on the stone bed.

His current realm was the "Seeing Tao Realm," his cultivation had reached the Heavenly Immortal Level, his Primordial Spirit was nearly Pure Yang, capable of gathering into form and dispersing into Qi.

If he wished, he could continue his secluded cultivation, vow for Ascension, and in no time, like Lu Rongbo, his Yang God would leave his body, shooting up to ascend. He cultivated the Three Emperors Dao and belonged to the Mysterious Sect. The many years of accumulated merit also ensured that he faced no Heavenly Tribulations, and could directly ascend.

But he was reluctant; he did not wish to go to the Immortal Realm, and currently, only his Yang God could ascend, while his physical body had to remain in the human world. Even if he ascended, his position wouldn't be high, being subjected to an immortal job,—a minor official in the Immortal Mansion,—which seemed rather meaningless. Moreover, others ascended due to calamities on earth, with scattered immortals facing a major tribulation once every five hundred years, and earth immortals facing a great heavenly tribulation once every thirteen hundred years, with various minor tribulations in between. With his vast amount of merit, apart from the great heavenly tribulation which was somewhat worrying, he was untroubled by the rest!

Returning his Primordial Spirit to his physical body, Shi Feiyang then took out the second treasure, the Nine Suspicions Tripod.

The inherent ability of the Nine Suspicions Tripod was to capture Flying Sword Magical Treasures, but more importantly, it contained the Chaos Core.

The Nine Suspicions Tripod, no more than two to three feet tall, was golden all over and shimmered brightly.

The tripod resembled the Yu Ding, with a protruding lid where an exotic beast crouched; the Yu Ding bore an Elephant Dragon, while this one had a Taotie atop.

The body of the tripod was also engraved with many exotic beasts and strange birds from the "Classic of Mountains and Seas," along with mountains, rivers, wind, clouds, water, and fire, as well as many ancient Dan Book talismans.

This tripod was much more volatile than the Yu Ding. The Ding Cover was originally stuck, heavier than mountains, but once illuminated by the Heavenly Mirror, it immediately became as light as a feather.

Upon lifting the cover, countless cries of birds and roars of beasts erupted, tiger roars and dragon chants, as if a hundred thousand ancient fierce beasts were roaring at the same time. Initially faint, the sounds gradually grew louder. Over time, the Ding Cover became heavy again, and the roaring sounds became deafening, as if a hundred thousand fierce beasts were rapidly approaching, about to squeeze out of the tripod!

However, as long as the Heavenly Mirror was shined beneath it, all sounds immediately ceased abruptly.

Shi Feiyang completely removed the Ding Cover, leveraging the light of the Heavenly Mirror to look inside. He saw a dense array of all kinds of beings engraved inside the belly of the tripod: heavens and earth, mountains and rivers, wind, clouds, thunderstorms, sun, moon, stars, along with all sorts of flying birds, running beasts, fish, turtles, shrimp, insects, and various monsters and evil spirits, as well as numerous Dan Book talismans.

Despite the tripod only being a few feet in circumference, the things engraved inside appeared endless. The more one concentrated, the more things emerged, gushing into view like a wellspring.

The multitude of things, regardless of size, all appeared ethereal and independent, each with its own position, without any mixing or congestion. It was indeed an encapsulation of everything, infinite and endless.

Within the tripod was a Chaos Core, similar in size to an egg, not very transparent, with an inner light that was pale and white. If laid horizontally, it appeared utterly chaotic and indistinct. But if set vertically, the green and white lights immediately separated, the green light ascending and the white light descending. After a short while, the upper half showed innumerable suns, moons, stars, wind, clouds, and thunderstorms, while the lower half revealed mountains, rivers, lakes, oceans, and all sorts of creatures and plants.

The beings emerging from within the Chaos Core were all the same as those engraved on the walls of the tripod, only they were alive and running across the Primordial Land.

Shi Feiyang, watching this, suddenly recalled a fragment he had once read from the "Purple Ying Immortal Scripture."

"The lying form channels blood to the brain, Qi reaching the feet, the clear descending, the turbid ascending, the heart and kidneys intersect; this is the symbol of Primordial Chaos. The standing form causes Qi to rise upwards, and blood flows downward, the clear ascending, the turbid descending, the heart and kidneys separate; this is the symbol of the universe. Primordial Chaos is the body of the Dao, thus reviving, resting. Universe is the function of the Dao, thus stripping, perishing. Hence, all Immortal Cultivation life-preserving Dan Skills are inseparable from the Dao, anchoring rise and fall: resting nourishes, perishing refines."

The fluctuations of energy and blood in reclining and seated positions shared a peculiar resonance with the Chaos Core.

He then delved into the inscriptions on the tripod, having previously deciphered the foundations of Guang Chengzi's Heavenly Book and the "Classic of Mountains and Seas." He found these not too difficult, quickly grasping the implications, which turned out to be quite unexpected.

Indeed, the Chaos Core was an Innate Treasure, born out of Primordial Chaos as an "egg" or, rather, a seed. Originally, Innate Qi, from the initial division of chaos, after the opening of heaven and earth, all descended into the Acquired, transforming into myriad forms, no longer existing in its primordial state.

The Chaos Core, by some coincidental circumstance, had been preserved.

An ancient Immortal obtained it, contemplated it for many years, and from it understood much about the natural truths of the universe and the Daoist Technique. The Immortal then attempted to use it to create a new world.

That ancient Immortal tried many methods without success until he came up with an idea: he crafted the Nine Suspicions Tripod to house it. At that time, the term "Dan Skill" didn't exist; it originated from these earliest attempts resembling Alchemy, intended to refine a world within the tripod.

Yet, he did not succeed, and later the tripod ended up at Jiuyi Mountain, where it was obtained by the Yellow Emperor who named it the Nine Suspicions Tripod.

The Yellow Emperor also understood the origin of this tripod but did not use it to create a world; he only used it to subdue a large number of fierce beasts. After his ascension, it was buried with his ministers in his tomb.

The true purpose of this object was to create a universe, using it merely to capture the enemies' Flying Sword Magical Treasures was indeed underutilizing its potential.

Shi Feiyang watched the Chaos Core, feeling that he might try it out in the future...

After the Nine Suspicions Tripod came the Heavenly Mirror. This treasure, reportedly brought down from heaven by the Nine Heavens Mysterious Maiden, originally belonged to the Heavenly God. The Yellow Emperor used it to counteract all of Chi You's array spells, invincible in its effects. It could not only restrain the Nine Suspicions Tripod but also had infinite marvelous uses. In Shi Feiyang's view, obtaining this treasure was the most crucial part of his quest.
