The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 676: Roc

Yuan Tuo led an army of one million Daoist soldiers from Yu Country to first eliminate Chi You's demon soldiers in the South Sea, then took a brief rest in Hainan before heading north along the coastline.

The Daoist soldiers from the Outer Heaven Divine Mountain were not ground troops; they were capable of swimming and flying, and did not land, focusing their battle primarily on Chi You's demon soldiers that were in the sea.

Once they crossed the straits, resistance began, as Chi You's demon soldiers were too numerous and massive, with a gigantic hundred-eyed blue whale blocking the straits. On one side, it conjured mighty waves tens of yards high towards the Fujian lands, while on the other side, its hundred eyes opened and closed, emitting vast quantities of freezing light, stretching for thousands of miles, unleashing hailstones the size of millstones.

The sword immortals from Fujian had already mobilized to try and stop it, but the blue whale was too large and fierce, with a hundred demon cores in its belly. It possessed numerous arm-like limbs on its sides and had a mouth resembling a seven-gilled eel at the front, filled with densely packed teeth, ready to swallow anything that came near.

Red Snake led an army of two hundred thousand and was the first to encounter it, and was stunned: "What a monster!" He hurriedly issued orders for the two hundred thousand demon soldiers to set up formations, dividing into groups both in the sky and water.

Most of those who could fly in the sky had humanoid forms, even if originally birds, having cultivated human shapes with wings. Each held red flags and formed formations, and upon Red Snake's command, they roared and cast spells, waving the flags to release tens of thousands of millstone-sized thunder fire, which fell densely onto the blue whale.

The blue whale frantically opened and closed its hundred eyes, shooting out freezing light that could freeze people to death, and at the same time, sprayed astonishing water columns upward in resistance.

After a brief clash, the blue whale could not hold out; despite its prowess, it could not compete with the twenty thousand Daoist soldiers from the Outer Heaven Divine Mountain who had been trained since childhood. Thunder fire exploded on its body, scorching large holes that oozed fat and blood, prompting it to roar and dive down into the water, stirring thousands of water columns up into the sky, only to be blasted open by the thunder fire.

"Don't let it escape!" Red Snake ordered the army to encircle the blue whale, attacking continuously from sky and sea, while he transformed into his original form, becoming a thousand-zhang long giant serpent.

The hundred-eyed blue whale stretched thousands of lix, lying across the straits, directly blocking the water flow, while the thousand-zhang long serpent appeared miniature next to it, like a mudfish.

He leapt down, landed on the whale's tail, and spewed fire from his mouth, burning through the skin and muscle, burrowing inside.

The blue whale possessed a hundred demon cores, and devouring them could greatly enhance one's mana. Red Snake drilled crazily through its flesh, heading straight into its belly.

The hundred-eyed blue whale screamed in pain, shaking its head and tail, diving deeper into the sea, gathering the freezing light refined in its belly to the location of Red Snake, who resisted with fire. The deeper the whale dove, the more thoroughly it searched the sea for Gui Water Essence Qi, continuously condensing the freezing light around Red Snake, aiming to freeze him to death...

When Yuan Tuo arrived, he discovered the front army's commander was missing, only to find out Red Snake coveted the whale's inner core and went off alone for a life-and-death battle.

Yuan Tuo was furious: "That fiery mudfish is so thoughtless! As a commander of the army, he ran to single combat with the enemy, so oblivious to the severity of the situation, all the years of studying strategy have been for nothing! I must report this to the King later and have him dismissed!" He was also aware that Red Snake was the earliest veteran follower of Shi Feiyang, and no matter how grave a mistake he made, Shi Feiyang wouldn't do anything harsh to Red Snake. Nonetheless, Yuan Tuo had to express his anger before the army; otherwise, everyone would seek out their own targets, recklessly charging ahead, resembling the disorderly demon soldiers on the opposite side.

He temporarily appointed Zhuang Xiaoyun, the General of Jinting Pass, as the interim front commander, to continue advancing.

Chi You's millions of demon soldiers in the East Sea mainly consisted of naval forces, with army and air forces landing along the North Sea coast, heading directly south, various fierce beasts and great demons racing across plains and deserts, far more majestic than ten thousand galloping horses. The golden-winged rocs flying above were first to arrive, spreading their wings wide, darkening the skies.

Shi Feiyang once again used the Cave Spirit Zither to convey a message to the disciples of the Emei Sect: "Quickly retreat, Chi You is coming!"

Jiang Xuejun roared and urged the Hundred Banners to move simultaneously, releasing endless black evil, mixed with numerous Soundless Divine Thunders, instantly using the Divine Maiden Shuttle to kill two people, the Heavenly Dragon Scissors to cut one in half, and the Soundless Divine Thunder to injure more than ten, letting the Emei Sect disciples understand the danger.

Shi Feiyang utilized the Treasure Light of the Heavenly Mirror to illuminate into the Mystics Yin Soul Refining Formation, carving a path for the Golden Cicada.

The Golden Cicada, taking advantage of the Mirror Light, achieved Human Sword Unity and flew out, calling for his fellow disciples to retreat to the south swiftly, and barely fending off Jiang Xuejun's attacks using the Seven Cultivation Swords, he gathered everyone together, covering them with Taiqing Divine Light, then disappeared out of thin air.

"Where are you running off, little dog!" Jiang Xuejun cursed, striking with the Divine Maiden Shuttle.

With a loud explosion, the Taiqing Divine Light was shattered, and Golden Cicada and the others fell from several hundred li high in the sky.

Golden Cicada was further injured by the Divine Maiden Shuttle, his chest clothes torn and bloodied, severely harming his Primordial Qi, coughing up blood severely.

Jiang Xuejun's curses were heard from a thousand li away, followed by the Heavenly Dragon Scissors transforming into two golden dragons flying rapidly towards them, about to cut Golden Cicada and Zhu Wen, who was holding him, into two segments.

Suddenly, a burst of white light flew in from the east, blocking the Heavenly Dragon Scissors, followed by a beautiful lady in palace attire appearing before them, waving her hand, transporting them away once more.

"Crack!" The white light obstructing the air was broken in two, falling down as scraps of iron, but this brief delay brought them within the Great Wall.

Golden Cicada and the others saw their savior was a tall Female Fairy, with sharp brows and thin lips, appearing cold and harsh by nature, with unorthodox methods, causing instant surprise and uncertainty.

The Female Fairy showed a slight smile: "I am Yu Wa, the Island Master of West Sea Island from East Sea Little Penglai. This time, I came at Fellow Daoist Shi's invitation to fight Chi You. I was delayed refining a Magical Treasure and just arrived. Upon receiving the Long-distance Transmission urgently, I came to rescue you. Although I had to sacrifice a newly refined Taiyin Divine Hook, I managed to fulfill my mission by bringing you all back safely."

Because Yu Wa had rarely come to the Central Earth, the older generation of the Emei Sect had heard of her, but most of the younger generation had not. However, the Golden Cicada knew and forcibly stood up to express gratitude.

Yu Wa turned her head to look at the northern sky: "Chi You is arriving soon. I must stay here to help guard the Great Wall. You all should hurry back to Yuan Yang Palace!"

While speaking, the fastest flying Golden-winged Roc had already arrived. This creature had a wingspan of over three thousand miles. Its left wing was in Chengde, and its right wing was in Hohhot. Moreover, there were two flying in parallel, and as they flew over, the sky turned dark. With just a slight flapping of their wings, billions of rapidly rotating vortices formed under their wings. With a few more flaps, the vortices expanded tremendously, and each cyclone could form a hurricane. These hurricanes collided and fused, doubling in power, eventually forming thousands of powerful gusts.

Columns of wind rose from under the Roc's wings, each with a diameter of several dozen miles, reaching up to the clouds and grounding the earth, rotating rapidly as they pushed southwards in parallel on the ground. Wherever they passed, not only would great trees be uprooted, but even the surface of the earth and stones were scoured to a depth of a dozen feet.

The two Roc birds generated over six thousand giant columns, pushing south from the Bohai Bay to the Shanbei Plateau!

The wind truly split the sky and earth, even things the size of carriages were swept into it.

Even Leng Yun Fairy Yu Wa, who normally was dismissive and defiant, felt shocked and awe-struck at this sight.

Others like Mr. Zhong and Ling Hun felt equally hopeless.

These two Roc birds, having evolved and nurtured by Chi You Blood, were more ferocious and powerful than ordinary ones!

For these Heavenly Immortal level experts, protecting themselves wasn't hard, and even Earth Immortal level ones could secure their safety.

The difficult part was safeguarding the millions of common people below!

If truly swept by these over six thousand wind columns, it would inevitably churn the entire Huaxia land into ruins, with less than one in a hundred surviving!

At this moment, everyone, regardless of their role, looked towards the Capital. Shi Feiyang was their only hope, hoping he could find a way to stop the hurricanes.

The situation in the Capital was even more dire, with at least a thousand wind columns barreling towards it, densely packed together. The Yan Mountains greatly impeded these wind columns, but the Roc in the sky kept flapping its wings, intensifying the winds. The wind columns continued to thicken, forcibly plowing over the Yan Mountains, threatening to reduce the Capital to rubble, sweep across the Hebei Plain, and then cross the Yellow River, completely destroying the Central Plains!

Those tall wind columns were visible from afar. Though the actual body had yet to arrive, the outer winds were already present, and the wind in the Capital was growing stronger, filling the city with terror.

The young emperor changed into a Daoist robe with a crane design, standing at the highest point of the Forbidden City, looking northward.

Seeing the ominous clouds covering the heavens and sensing the fierce winds in the air, he felt a familiar sensation...

In his previous life, he was born from the union of a Roc and human essence blood, and had a pair of wings from birth.

"Your Majesty." Noble Princess Consort Yu approached from behind with a group of eunuchs.

The young emperor turned: "Why are you here?"

Noble Princess Consort Yu said: "Since childhood, I was also taught by supernatural beings and learned mysterious skills and Daoist techniques. In today's national crisis, I should stay by Your Majesty's side. Should any demons come to cause trouble, I can offer my limited help!"

"Good!" The young emperor quite liked this princess consort, otherwise, she wouldn't be the only concubine in the harem, granted the title of noble consort.

He held Yu Consort's hand, standing side by side, looking at the northern storm clouds: "According to reports from the Jinyiwei, there are already many demon beasts appearing on the East Sea side, and many immortals are engaging in duels above the Bohai. Who knows what the situation is now, but if any demon beasts attack the city later, we'll slay them together!"

He was young and passionate, imagining personally slaying demons, and it would be even better with his beloved by his side.

"Hmm." Yu Consort agreed softly, carefully observing the emperor's profile.

She also liked the young emperor, and having become a noble consort, she would undoubtedly become the empress in the future.

She also wanted to stay with the emperor forever...

But unfortunately, the orders from her adoptive father, she couldn't defy. The mandate of the Great Ming Dynasty was exhausted; it was time for a change of dynasty!

She silently took out two Blood Transformation Divine Needles, suddenly launching them as two lines of blood, one aiming at the young emperor's temple and the other diagonally piercing his heart!
