Ten students moved within their respective marked squares and stood before the masked figures who were to coach them on their selected weapons.
Selina was the first sword user to step within the square. She raised her sword and looked at the sword coach with battle-ready eyes.
The sword coach nodded and leisurely asked in a raspy tone, "Why have you picked up the sword?"
"So I can put it down again... more quickly this time," she replied without any change in her expression or tone.
The sword coach laughed out hoarsely as he pointed his sword at her and announced, "Let's see if you have the skills to back up your arrogance."
She shrugged and responded, "Try me."
The sword coach stepped forward, and their clash began.

Arden was the first bow user to step within the square. He took out an arrow from his quiver and held onto it as he stared at the bow coach, who stared at him with her hands at her chest while her bow rested on her shoulder.
She pointed at the shooting range on the right of the wide hall and said, "Let's go there."
He nodded and followed behind her. The bow coach asked after they reached the shooting range, "Why did you pick up the bow?"
He placed a hand on his chin as he thought of an answer. A moment later, he replied, "I always had good eyes and good aim, so I believed the bow to be my call."
She nodded at his words and offered him her bow before she commanded, "nock an arrow on it."
He nodded, positioned the bow and placed an arrow on the string. He pulled the arrow with the string, his face turned red and blue as he tried to, but he couldn't pull it.
A confused look appeared on his face as he stared at the bow. He shifted his gaze to the bow coach and asked, "What am I doing wrong?"
She took the bow from him and nocked an arrow on it before she turned towards the shooting range and answered, "Nothing, you did the right steps. But, to wound a high-ranked nightmare or star beast, you would need enough strength to at least easily nock an arrow on this level of bows."
He nodded solemnly. As she finished speaking, she let go of the string, and the arrow zipped through the air before hitting the 1km mark at the centre.
"I want you to hit either the 750m or 1km mark in a single quiver. Can you do it?" She asked.
"I'll do my best," he said as he nocked an arrow on his bow and let go of the string.

Navin was the first spear user to step within the square. He tightened his grip around the spear as he looked at the spear coach before him with vigilant eyes.
"Haha! Calm down, lad," the spear coach spoke as he leaned against his spear.
Navin gave him a confused look before lowering his spear.
"All right, lad, tell me why you picked up the spear?" The spear coach's eyes gleamed with curiosity as he asked.
Navin looked at the tip of his spear, which gleamed under the light as he answered, "I picked it up because I was too scared to go near the nightmares or star beasts."
"Aren't you a tank? Why are you a tank if you are scared to go near those vermin?" The spear coach asked in puzzlement.
Navin let out a chuckle at his words, "I forget all of fear when I have my spear and shield in my hands... And I want to be a wall that ends that fear."
"Oh? Let me see if you are strong enough to be a wall," the spear coach replied.
Both of them picked up their spears, and their clash began.

Shelly was the first dagger user to step within the square. She raised her daggers and stared at the dagger coach with her glassy grey eyes.
The dagger coach asked a similar question, "Why did you pick up the dagger?"
"Fast and silent kill," Shelly replied to her in her usual indifferent tone.
"Heh." The dagger coach smirked behind her mask and raised her daggers as she spoke, "Try not to get killed quickly and silently instead."
Shelly gave a nod, which could barely be considered as one, and their dance of daggers began.

The remaining students watched the ones within the squares and tried to glean as much as they could from their fight.
However, Jaden's eyes were dull because he was training his sword within the white world of [Epiphany Zone]. Until now, he had always involuntarily used mana while swinging the sword.
"That's what happens when you skip steps..." he mumbled as he followed the forms of the [Basic Sword Forms] while trying not to use even a single wisp of mana.
And he was failing very spectacularly at doing that.
"Ugh! Why can't I do this?" He groaned in annoyance as he threw away the white Jade-like sword that burst into smoke after leaving his hand.
He stared at himself within the mirror-like sea under him and stepped out of the [Epiphany Zone].
His eyes turned bright, he looked at the squares, and the four of them were still clashing against the coaches.
'Let's see if I can learn anything from them.' He thought as he placed his arms across his chest and stared at Selina and the sword coach with intense eyes.
Jamie glanced at him from the corners of his eyes and thought, 'Why is he staring at the sword coach so intensely? Don't tell me he is mad about him clashing against Selina..."
He shifted his eyes towards Selina, and after seeing the slightly troubled look on her face, he continued his thoughts, 'I would have been doing the same if it were Lane instead of Selina...'
At the same time, Maria was coaching those who had weapons other than the ten used by the masked coaches.
