The Forsaken's Revenge

Chapter 127 Kidnapping

"Huang Yingying, you've deceived me again!" Yan Lili violently shook off Huang Yingying's hand, unable to suppress the fury in her heart.

"Oh, Lily, don't say that. We were forced into this. It's your own fault for having such an outstanding brother! If I hadn't deceived you, we would be the ones in trouble." Huang Yingying smiled nonchalantly.

"Hmph... Huang Yingying, I will never trust you again!" Yan Lili snorted coldly and prepared to turn and leave.

However, Huang Yingying suddenly grabbed her tightly. "Yan Lili, you can't go!"

"Why? What are you planning to do?" Yan Lili was stunned.

"Nothing much, just a small matter to discuss with your brother. As for you, just stay put!"

At that moment, Zhong Jiang's mouth curled into a cold smirk as he approached, a towel in his hand.

Fear swirled inside Yan Lili like a tempest, and she desperately tried to break free from Huang Yingying's grip.

"Let me go! Please, let go of me!" Yan Lili shrieked desperately.

Zhong Jiang stepped forward decisively and quickly covered Yan Lili's face with a damp towel. A suffocating odor enveloped her, and she immediately passed out.

"Let's go!" Zhong Jiang carefully supported Lu Jiu'er while Huang Yingying assisted.

And with that, the three of them left the Fairy Tavern together. Since such scenes were not uncommon there, no one questioned what had just transpired. Shortly after, Yan Lili was lifted into a car by the pair, and the three of them drove away.

In the villa, Chen Zheng frowned, confused. "What happened? Why is there still no sign of Lily?"

"Maybe she has some matters to take care of," Li Yitong speculated. After all, Yan Lili had just quit her job and was still handling some mailed packages. It was understandable for a young woman to be slightly delayed.

No, something isn't right... Chen Zheng's heart began to pound; an unshakable sense of unease spread through him.

At that moment, a sharp premonition of danger pierced Chen Zheng's mind like a blade. He closed his eyes tightly, trying to find an answer through the connection he had with Yan Lili via the danger warning card. This connection was now profoundly etched in his heart, so clear it was suffocating.

"What happened?" Li Yitong asked, her eyebrows knitting together as she looked at Chen Zheng's tense expression.

"Lily might be in danger! We must act now!" Chen Zheng's voice was filled with determination and anxiety.

He tightly gripped Li Yitong's hand, and the two immediately left the villa. After getting into the car, he slammed the accelerator to the floor, and the vehicle shot forward like an arrow released from a bow.

Li Yitong sat in the car, watching the scenery rush by, utterly confused. She understood Lily might be in trouble, but why was Chen Zheng driving off in such a rush? They didn't even know where she was. She had no idea that at this very moment, Chen Zheng was using that indescribable connection to track Lily down.

Chen Zheng drove with one hand, dialing a number on his phone with the other.

"It's a call from Yan Lili's brother. Should I answer it?" Huang Yingying asked from inside their car, holding Yan Lili's phone.

"Ignore him. We'll deal with him once we're home," Zhong Jiang said. His brow was furrowed, but his voice was resolute.

Huang Yingying said nothing more and simply pressed the mute button. On Chen Zheng's end, the call simply rang out, unanswered.

How audacious! A flash of cold fury passed over Chen Zheng's face as he floored the accelerator.

「」

Atop the enchanting Wan Jing Mountain in Magic Capital, a magnificent villa stood quietly. This was Zhong Jiang's private territory, where he and Huang Yingying had set their trap.

They carefully carried the unconscious Yan Lili from the car and walked deep into the villa. Amidst a dazzling array of antiques, they found a roll of yellow tape and skillfully wrapped it around Yan Lili's body, rendering her immobile. Then, they gently placed her inside a large safe and locked the solid iron door.

Their gazes met, flickering with the light of victory.

Zhong Jiang smiled contentedly. "Now we can call Chen Zheng. With Yan Lili in our hands, he'll be completely under our control."

Huang Yingying nodded, picked up Yan Lili's phone, unlocked it with a password, and dialed.

BOOM!

BANG! BANG!

Just as Huang Yingying was about to place the call, a series of loud noises shattered the silence, making her heart leap into her throat.

"What was that?"

"The villa's main gate! Which bastard is tired of living?!" Zhong Jiang roared furiously.

Immediately, a car rammed into view, its front bumper severely deformed. The driver's door was flung open, and Chen Zheng stepped out.

"Chen Zheng, how... could you..." Zhong Jiang and Huang Yingying were dumbfounded.

Li Yitong also got out of the car, following close behind Chen Zheng.

"As I suspected. It was you," Chen Zheng's cold voice echoed in their ears.

A chill rushed from the soles of their feet to their hearts, seizing their very souls. They shuddered, but then their eyes fell on the enormous safe, and their fear was momentarily placated by their leverage.

"That's right, it was us, Chen Zheng!" Zhong Jiang relaxed slightly, answering without hesitation.

As Zhong Jiang's words faded, Chen Zheng's presence seemed to intensify, like a brilliant pearl in the darkness. He didn't respond right away. A chilling silence filled the room.

Zhong Jiang continued calmly, "Chen Zheng, Yan Lili is in that safe." His gaze settled on a titanium alloy safe as if it were his greatest treasure. "This safe is made of titanium alloy. It can only be opened with the correct code!"

"I know our actions have displeased you. You might feel we've offended you, but you should understand we only did this to protect ourselves." Zhong Jiang's eyes gleamed, and his smile was unsettling. "Also, don't even think of calling the police. If you do, I can't guarantee there won't be an... accident."

Chen Zheng's gaze sharpened. He looked at Zhong Jiang, seeming to peer right through him. "What do you want?" His tone was ice-cold.

"You're smart," Zhong Jiang laughed. He could see that Chen Zheng had already succumbed to his control. "It's not difficult. First, the Liu Family must not lay a hand on Dasheng Corporation. And, of course, I want twenty percent of Wang Corporation's shares."

His voice was full of confidence. "Don't refuse. Considering Liu Yangdong's attitude, this should be no problem for you!"

Zhong Jiang's eyes shimmered with greed. He knew he was in the middle of a massive power play. Wang Corporation was valued at eight hundred billion dollars; twenty percent of its shares amounted to a staggering one hundred and sixty billion dollars—more than a hundred times the value of Dasheng.
