The Rise of Quetzalcoatl

Chapter 257: Dukedom of Frosty Planes vs The Second Dark Army (3)

"Let's see if they're willing to talk now," I smiled, and upon arriving at the deepest section of the dungeon, I gave the interrogator a pat on the back.

"Miss, they have spilled all the information needed," She muttered before wiping the blood from her whip.

"Good, you can go on break now. I need to privately ask them some questions," I muttered, my eyes trailing her all the way to the exit, where she gave me a cheerful goodbye.

"Now, tell me where the artifact is, and I'll consider letting you go,"

"YEAH, RIGHT! GO FUCK YOURSELF! TRAITOR!" My uncle shouted, causing my lips to purse into a small smile.

Slowly, I opened the door to the cell, causing most of my family to scurry and shift into one corner, huddling up like a frightened gang of mice.

"Uh huh… Traitor… I'll gladly be a traitor to hand you your sorry asses," I muttered, my cold voice practically scraping the walls of this stone brick room.

The people who I used to call my family all shivered with fear as ice spread from my feet and began to coat the rest of the room.

Large icicles hung from the ceiling, threatening to pierce the hearts of each and every single family member.

"Now… I'll only ask you once before I start killing people. Where is the sacred relic of our family? The person who informs me might even be let go," I said with a genuine tone which almost caused some of my family members to slip up.

They almost desperately grasped onto the hook I dangled in front of them but knew the consequences of me obtaining the relic.

I couldn't help but laugh as they continued to hold onto their pride and even the ones who I thought would tell me still kept their lips shut. Not sealed, but shut… meaning I could still squiggle my way in.

Letting out a long sigh, a cloud of misty ice escaped from my lips, forming what seemed to be an aura of murderous intent around me. ,

"W-WAIT! W-WE'LL TELL YOU-"

KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH KSH

I murdered half the family in the most brutal way possible, even discarding some of the ones who I knew held the location of the relic.

"That's your first chance," I muttered, and some of my younger family members, otherwise known as my nauseating and detestable siblings, peed their pants.

"W-We'll tell you! We'll tell you!" My uncle stuttered before glancing at the rest of the family members and swallowing his pride.

Yes… that's what I want. Come on, show me more of that. Show me how low you'll really stoop to try and survive.

My grin warped into a large smile as my uncle slowly shifted towards me and opened his mouth,

"It's hidden behind your bed. Where the backboard is for the bed, it's hidden behind that in a secret compartment in the wall," He said, and it didn't seem like he was lying, so I decided to trust his words for the first time in decades.

"Thank you," I muttered before spinning around and walking out of the prison cell, making sure to lock the door behind me.

Not that mattered, really, as their wrists and ankles were chained down to the floor, meaning they couldn't escape even if I left the cell wide open.

"In fact…" I muttered to myself before locking onto the keyhole and freezing it shut, making sure nobody could pick it.

I saw a few faces pale upon seeing this happen, and my smile only widened as I skipped up the stairs leading back to the fresh mansion.

(Demon General POV)

"Any other reports?" I asked my trusty and loyal dark elf knight, who kneeled before me once again.

"Forgive us, sir, but we have been unable to detect where the camp which was just residing inside the perimeter of the wall had moved to. It seems they have run, but I highly doubt that, so we have been on our toes, making sure to watch every nook and cranny we find,"

"Good. Keep reporting any suspicious activity within my army and within the enemy camp. I must know everything for us to win," I ordered.

"Yes, sir!" He shouted before disappearing into a gust of wind that slowly fizzled out with the almost nauseating cold air.

As my ice unicorn's feet continued to clop against the ground once again, I bent back to look up at the beautiful sky.

It was a bit overshadowed by the towering fire giants, but nevertheless, even in a shadow, it was still beautiful.

"What a wonderful sight," I muttered to myself before glancing back down at the wall, maybe a day apart from us.

We will reach it by the end of tomorrow, and just judging from how corrupted and unruly the dukedom's officials were, I knew we had a smoother slide to victory.

"But, our infiltrators were eradicated a bit too fast… oh well," I shrugged as they were only there to distract the camp that sat at the perimeter of the wall.

Now, we just needed to focus and get this victory so I could go home to my friends and family.

And so, the very next day, we finally arrived at the wall, and I stopped my entire army, seemingly stopping the rest of the world with it.

Not even the chirping of birds could be heard as we stared up at the massive and impressively built wall.

"Sir, all the preparations are ready. The dark elves have already infiltrated the wall and are waiting on the other side. The dark elf warriors, on the other hand, are organized. We may not have the numbers, but I believe in the strength of our men,"

"Good… Now… FIRE GIANTS! CHARGGGEEEEEE!"
