The Rise of Quetzalcoatl

Chapter 273: Training

We were both very possessive of each other, and that only strengthened our bond as we tried on the various clothes, which Mia really found cute on me, but I thought were too… girly? I don't know. Dresses aren't for me.

But eventually, our night began to wind down relatively quickly as neither of us was horny or begging for attention, so we just cuddled in our bed in our nightgowns until we fell into the land of dreams.

"I love you," I whispered as my face dug into Mia's chest, feeling her warmth spread throughout my entire body.

"I love you too," Mia whispered back before licking the lobe of my ear teasingly and then pulling me into her embrace once more.

Our day was just as peaceful and cute as our nightly routine…

When I awoke the next morning, I found myself back in that small office doing work with the girls but was suddenly approached by a woman with long red hair.

A dark elf walked from behind her, taking up the job as her secretary as it seemed she badly needed an assistant for managing the armies.

"Since you haven't been taking care of your army, I've been doing it myself. Now, you take care of them while I relax… okay?" She asked, but before I could even respond, she left the room, clearly stressed by all her work.

"Sorry, girls, but it seems my time has come,"

Mia gave me a kiss goodbye while the other two just hugged before I made my way to the barracks where both armies were present.

"Report," I muttered tiredly towards one of the most trusted knights that had also assisted me in the battle against that undead army: Luke.

"It's going quite well, to say the least. Nothing problematic has come up, but they are beginning to get a bit bloodthirsty, so to quell that, they've had some brutal matches… would you like to stop it since people are getting badly injured?"

"Hmmm… Show me these brutal matches," I said, and the man quickly saluted before leading the way to an open dirt battleground.

In the very center were two men suited up in their black armor, duking it out with massive greatswords that created sparks with each clash.

Their strength did seem to be increasing, so I liked that part of the battle, but once one of them had been stabbed straight through the abdomen between the chest plate and legplates, then I couldn't help but frown.

"Just regulate it. If anybody dares to injure somebody severely again, I'll punish them myself," I ordered before walking to the main cabin where three maids greeted me.

"We greet the Mistress,"

All three of my maids bowed deeply before letting me into the stuffy and a bit sweaty room, meaning those two were definitely doing some lewd things in here.

"Ugh… Animals," I muttered with disgust, and my maids deadpanned just a bit before I turned to them, and they returned to their normal cold expressions.

"Shall we get you something to drink?" My maid of death asked, and I quickly signaled for some tea in order to relieve some of the already built-up stress.

Just stepping onto these grounds made me want to escape to a foreign country and live out my days in the mountains.

"Do you know where the queen went for vacation?" I asked them while sipping on the freshly brewed tea.

"Unfortunately, we do not," All three of them replied in unison, causing me to crack a small smile.

"Even with your insane senses… you don't have told hold back when you're around me," I muttered once again, and all three of them began to sweat profusely.

"F-Forgive us… W-We seriously do not know where she went. We would never dare to lie to Mistress," My maid of flames replied, and seeing how serious and nervous they were, I just let out a little sigh of relief.

"I guess that means I can practice with my ice powers… without the risk of her possibly slipping in and knocking me out when the chance is right,"

"Are you afraid the queen might take advantage of your exhaustion after training?" My maid of ice asked, but I didn't reply to her as I quickly exited the musty place and walked to the outskirts of the camp.

Nobody was there, and it was just me in the beautiful open plane with ankle-high snow, some still falling from the sky.

"Make sure nobody interrupts me," I ordered my maids, who all bowed deeply before replying,

"Yes, Mistress,"

As soon as they took the perimeter of where I would be training, I took a step forward and raised my hands into the air.

My mouth cracked open, a gust of wintry wind escaping from it and creating a large cloud that hung in the sky.

[Sacred Power: Land of the Frozen Istikip]

The sudden surge of power ripped so much mana out of me that I almost fainted right then and there, but I kept ahold of my consciousness and planted my other foot forward.

A blast of snow erupted from my hands, and all of the snow that was around me seemingly felt like it was under my control.

Every single speck of snow in my sight was controllable… it was a surreal and almost degrading feeling as all of this snow nearly made me feel useless, like a speck of dust floating in space.

"Geez… what an overpowered skill," I muttered to myself before swaying my hands like I was using a sword, controlling the snow in front of me.

I placed it down and then controlled the snow further away. I then placed that down and controlled the snow even further away. And then finally, I controlled the snow furthest in my eye sigh and then placed it down.

After I deactivated the skill, I dropped to one knee, heaving and huffing heavy breaths as I attempted to hold onto my consciousness.

"Geez… adrenaline really makes a difference," I muttered to myself before taking a look at my status.

"I guess… I'll take a break for a bit before practicing with something else," I sighed before gesturing for my maids to follow me back.

And as soon as I returned, I began to sip on my tea once again.

Recovery was pretty slow, but with using my maids to massage me to pass the time, I soon found myself fully recovered by the end of lunch and decided to go training again.

This time, I decided to set away the big skills and practice some of my swordsmanship against some of my maids.

They were very good at defending my blade, but after I told them to stop holding back, they completely destroyed me in a one-on-one.

"Your balance is terrible. Get a grip on it. Plus, have you been stretching lately because you seem a bit stiff?" My maid of flames commented on my swordsmanship before taking the wooden sword out of my hand.

She took a firm stance, and in just a split second, a flurry of what looked to be ten attacks happened in just under a second.

"Well, your stats are better than mine," I shrugged, but my maid just frowned as she gestured for me to look back at her, but this time towards her legs.

"I'm talking about my balance. It is possible to practice your balance in various uncomfortable positions, but why do that to yourself when you can take an already firm position? Just follow my footsteps and stances, and you should be as sturdy as a mountain while fighting,"

I took her advice, and after just an hour of practicing with her, I got it down and felt my swordsmanship increase by another level.

"See, what did I tell you?" She smirked, but just as I was about to practice some more, she caught my sword with ease, interrupting my solo training session.

"Huh? What's wrong? Is there something off with my stance again?"

"Nope, just take a break for now. Getting rest is one of the most important parts of training, so allow us to take care of you for the rest of the afternoon. We shall also inform you of anything else happening within the camp,"

I silently nodded before letting out a long sigh of exhaustion.
