Baby? What baby? There doesn't look to be a baby…
"I-I didn't know that… Congratulations, should I hold a baby shower?" I asked.
"Nah, it's fine… I want to keep this information under wrap until I find a personal team that can defend my daughter under any condition.
"Shall I look for one? I've already had my eyes on this adventurer guild I was hoping to arrange a meeting with… they'll do anything for money, but they're also pretty respectable. Brutal at times, but are respectable to the people who pay them the big bucks,"
"Hmmm… Okay, go ahead,"
…
The next day, I headed to the guild I had been talking about, but instead of using the real entrance, I took the backdoor, which was guarded by a large man who had to be at least an A-rank dungeon runner.
Dungeon runners in this country were pretty special, as anybody who was below C-rank would essentially rot away without work.
But, that is also very rare since Japan only imports the highest quality power stones, so if you got a D-rank or E-rank power stone, that was just pure bad luck.
"I'm here to meet with your guild leader," I said, and my voice was so commanding that the man immediately stepped to the side.
He muttered something in Japanese, causing me to freeze and slowly turn toward him, my eyes glowing a dim red.
"I can understand what you, you know that, right?" I muttered, and the man just grinned eerily before I turned away and walked through the metal hallway.
At the end of the hallway was a singular elevator that I rode to the top of the massive skyscraper, popping my ears as I quickly went up.
In just a matter of a few seconds, I was at the top of a three-hundred-story building where I found the boss, who was a woman with long black hair, pitch black eyes, toned pale skin, and a massive scar across her left eye, blinding her on that side.
But, even though she couldn't see out of both eyes, she was so incredibly strong that it didn't matter whether she could get a full view of you or not.
"Oh? And who are you?" The woman asked, feeling my intense presence that had been honed by the training I underwent with some of the other executives.
But, in reality, it was more of a legal bullying session since they beat the shit out of me each time… but people like this were absolutely nothing compared to them.
She was practically just a mere ant before the other executives.
"An executive of Tolf," I muttered, but it was clear the woman didn't believe me since I was still weaker than her.
"I see… Well, you can be escorted out immediately," The woman muttered before tapping on her desk twice, causing two guards to come into the room, restrain me and toss me out of the tower from the very top floor.
"Tch…"
As soon as I clicked my tongue, I landed lightly on my feet, breaking my fall that was from thousands of feet in the air.
The power stone I had made me able to manipulate wind which wasn't anywhere near as special and as powerful as the other executives, but it came in useful from time to time.
"*sigh*... No need to tell, Mistress," I muttered as my assistant walked next to me through the cyberpunk streets.
"How many men would you like to mobilize?"
"Do you think five thousand should do?"
"Th-that's a bit too much," He stuttered, quickly swiping up on the tablet he had been holding this entire time.
"It's an important matter. I believe using that many men on this puny guild should be enough," I muttered, but my assistant was still weary since the last time I used this many men. Not only was I chewed out by my Mistress, but also he was.
"Don't worry… this time, she'll understand,"
"Alright, I trust you… so don't break this trust I have in you," He sighed before tapping a few times on his tablet.
…
Not even a day later and I swiftly came back to the untouched skyscraper, but from the inside, I saw the chaos that had taken place.
How amusing…
This amount of power was intoxicating, yet I tried my best not to get hooked on it since I would end up like my Mistress, who was cold-hearted to all but the other rulers and her girlfriend… I would presume.
As I walked through the scraps and absolutely destroyed and wrecked facility that held some of the greatest adventurers in Japan, I walked into the elevator.
I pressed a few buttons, but it didn't work, so I stretched out my cybernetic hand and reworked some of the settings, causing it to shoot straight up without closing the door.
Slowly, I walked out of the door as soon as it had reached the top floor, where I found a woman stressing at her desk.
As soon as she saw me, her face paled, but it also quickly shifted into an expression full of heaping rage.
"Y-You!" She cried out, storming out of her desk and creating a layer of shadows beneath me that shot up into spikes, cradling over my head.
I didn't need to do anything as she stopped of her own volition, staring into my eyes that looked down on her as if she was an ant.
"Such a pity… this could've been stopped if you just listened to me," I muttered, and the woman grit her angrily while glaring at me, simultaneously shaking with fear.
"Why… Why go to such lengths just to talk to me?" She muttered, sad, disgusted, and most of all rageful.
"Well, I came to request that you become personal guards for the ruler's child… but sadly, you weren't willing to hear me out,"
"TH-THIS IS YOUR FAULT!" She cried out, swiping her hand down and causing the curling shadows to quickly charge towards me.
But, just before they could touch me, my assistant stepped in and swatted away the shadowy spikes as if they were nothing.
"Y-You! You want us to become guard dogs!? OF COURSE, I WOULD'VE REJECTED THAT SHIT ANYWAY!" She angrily cried out, but upon seeing my assistant flex his pale hand, she quickly backed down.
"So, do you still intend on resisting?" I asked.
"And why the fuck should I listen to you!? If you want us to become guard dogs for a puny kid, then how about the ruler come straight to us instead of sending a bitch like you!" She shouted, angrily gnashing her teeth together.
So, slowly I raised my hand, causing the woman to freeze up and fearfully look at me.
"If I wave this hand down, not will the illegal and brutal things you've done be released, but I'll be wiping out your branches as well. Japan shall know the truth about one of the greatest present guild leaders and then see the fall of their adventurer guild… in just two days. What a laughing stock you'd become," I lightly smiled, and the woman's face paled beyond belief.
"P-please… have mercy," She begged, slowly getting down on her knees, but before she could prostrate herself in a kowtowed position, I quickly caught her forehead.
"The one you should be submitting to isn't me, but our god. Aren't you lucky… not only do you get to serve a demi-god, but you also get to work under god directly… surely your life will change," I muttered, and as my assistant typed in a few things into his tablet, a woman clad in white came through a swirling portal of snowy clouds.
"Geez… you really wanted this place, huh? Well, is she gonna be the leader of the guards? Did you even leave some of the stronger ones alive?" Nova, the second executive, smirked.
"Yes. They're already being trained to be mindless slaves for Mistress. But, we need this woman in tact…."
"Hmph… She's quite weak,"
"Just weak to you," I rolled my eyes before grabbing the pitiful woman who was on her knees by the wrists and yanking her upwards before restraining her hands behind her back.
Quickly, we moved her through the portal Nova had created, and we soon arrived in the throne hall, where I found my Mistress sitting rightfully on her throne.
The woman I had restrained was pushed to the very edge of the steps, and as my Mistress walked down to get a better look at her, she immediately felt the crushing pressure being emitted by one of the twelve rulers of Tolf.
"She's a bit weaker than I thought,"
"Forgive me… I should've chosen a stronger candidate," I immediately apologized, with Nova giving me a glare.
Her loyalty was as unmatched by the other two executives who were taking care of business in Korea and China.
And this also meant that whenever I disappointed my strict Mistress in the slightest, she would always get angry with me.
Soon, the guild leader who had fallen from grace bent down at the feet of my Mistress and kowtowed before her.
"I will serve you till the end of time," She muttered through loose lips.
She was so nervous she couldn't even grit her teeth with anger.
"Well, I'll have you redo that pledge once my daughter is born," My Mistress muttered before walking out of the throne hall, leaving everybody frozen with silence.
