It looked like a royal palace that you would see in ancient Egypt, exactly where I was right now.
"Welcome to my Teleportation Capital. I created this incredible place from scratch with hard work and tons of money,"
It was beautiful. So damn beautiful that I nearly cried.
The normal cold and calm places that I was always aware of were so different compared to this place, and goddamn… was it so beautiful.
"This place also has another name… The Metropolis of Gold and Riches,"
"You made this place?"
"Yeah, pretty much, but with the help of a few other people… anyway, I think it's time I show you around this place. I'm sure you wanna see what's in here," Auntie smiled, and as I began to get more and more invested in this foreign place, Auntie continued to shovel the fuel that set me ablaze with curiosity.
As she showed me through the palace, I noticed how everything was made from sandstone, and multiple parts of this palace were open, allowing an easy breeze to calm you down.
The sky was apparently always clear, but when it rained, it rained so hard that it could actually flood the streets.
"Doesn't sand absorb water, though? And there is an infinite amount… that doesn't make sense,"
"Well, regular sand does that, but only to a certain extent. Plus, the streets are made from sandstone, not sand,"
"A-Ah… I see," I stuttered, blushing with embarrassment.
"No need to be embarrassed. Your mother sent you here to learn more about the world, so just enjoy it and absorb as much information as you want… though, training will start tomorrow,"
Suddenly, Auntie dropped me off with a pair of servants who offered me a platter of grapes, but I quickly declined it as I called out to her.
"W-Where are you going?!"
"I have things to do! My husband should be able to take care of you, so if you have any questions, just ask him!"
"Then where the hell is he-"
Suddenly, a presence revealed itself from behind me and what I saw was a horrifying face that made me jump with surprise.
But that face was soon absorbed back into a handsome face with chocolate-brown skin, very calm and observing black eyes, and long black hair locked behind his head.
"I've been practicing that face for your aunt down there. Impressive, right?" He asked, swinging his arm over my shoulder and allowing the robes draping his body to brush against my skin.
Smells like honey…
"U-Uh yeah… are you her husband?" I stuttered since this man was strong… way too fucking strong.
He was on par with Auntie Clio… no, he might be even stronger than her.
His presence was only revealed because he wanted to, but in that short amount of time, he hid the servants behind me and had enough time to observe our conversation.
"Indeed, and since it's my day off work, lemme show you around the city. You'll surely be impressed," He smirked before dragging me through the hallway.
"How long have you been following me?"
"Since you arrived here… you were just too absorbed to even notice me," He laughed before we began to go down a flight of winding stairs leading all the way to the bottom of the palace.
"Mhm… I don't believe a single thing you just said," I muttered before brushing his arm off of me and walking beside him as we were greeted by the beating sun.
We barely just left the canopy shading the entrance to the palace, but already I was sweating bullets and could barely keep my consciousness.
"Ugh… it's so hot,"
"Then how about we get you some new clothes? I know a dude down the street; he sells some of the best clothes,"
"But won't wearing robes make me hotter? It feels like those are thicker than the ones I'm wearing now,"
"I'll explain the function later. Just stop complaining and follow me," The man grinned before he crouched down and disappeared into the air.
I only just managed to catch a glimpse of him jumping on top of the surprisingly short buildings that were massively towering skyscrapers or massive warehouses containing all kinds of items.
Each store and restaurant was specialized to its own thing, and even the people looked as wonderful as the city.
"This place is amazing," I muttered before jumping up and landing on top of the rooftop.
I saw my uncle far off in the distance, so I ran at full speed to catch up to him, but his nimble movements and amazing speed were something I didn't have a chance to catch up with.
But, soon, he finally stopped on top of one roof, and I found myself heaving for air while I crouched next to my uncle.
"Geez… what the fuck… why are you so fast,"
"I'm an assassin, young lady… You really are young," The man laughed out loud before jumping off the roof, and when I tilted my head over the edge, I saw him gently waving from down below.
I gulped down a drop of saliva before slowly falling off and breaking my landing with a blast of green flames.
"Impressive flames," The man smiled before wrapping his arm over my shoulders once again and dragging me into the store.
Does this dude have infinite stamina?! What the hell?!
Our shopping trip was short and sweet, and we even got a discount because the owner of the store was friends with him.
Even though he seemed to be the king amongst all these people, he still treated himself like a commoner and related to all the struggling people.
I didn't know whether that was a good thing or a bad thing, though… because from what I've learned under such a rule… people will begin to underestimate you.
"Kekeke… A king walking about the streets? How amusing," A trio of idiots suddenly came up to us, flipping daggers within the palms of their hands.
It was cliche, but judging from how everybody else just kept walking past… this must've been a normal occurrence here.
"I guess it's time to show off a bit," Uncle muttered, cracking his neck.
