I quickly nodded my head since my mouth was still stuffed with food.
"Young Miss, please slow down and wipe your mouth properly," My maid whispered before patting my mouth with a free napkin.
"That's a good choice but not optimal for losers… Since you're basically spreading yourself thin if you don't have the talent to excel in both the swordsman and mage aspect… so, are you a loser who will give up instantly?"
I quickly shook my head from side to side with a determined gaze.
"I see… well, heart is good but display that you won't disappoint me in training tomorrow. You have the best weapon specialist right next to you so if you ever need help, ask him,"
…
The next week was probably a worse experience than when I was with my mother in those snowy mountains.
I was already used to the cold, so it didn't affect me much, but the heat of this place could only be described as absolutely fucking atrocious.
I fainted just one hour into our first training session and was awoken by the splashing of lukewarm water.
Dumping piss on me probably would've felt nicer than what was just poured on me.
The next day I didn't faint but nearly did several times, though I could feel myself slowly adapting to the environment and even picking up some new skills from my training with Uncle.
I'm not gonna lie, there were several times I thought I was gonna die and nearly had an entire breakdown.
If it wasn't for the woman I met on a Wednesday night, I probably would've given up and just complained and complained until Auntie and Uncle stopped bothering me.
"You should be proud of yourself," The woman whispered as I looked down from the roof of the palace and dangled my legs off the side of it.
I found this place on a simple and easy Tuesday morning, just before the sun had risen, and when I saw that beautiful glowing ball of light rise over the horizon, I couldn't help but leak a few tears.
So ever since then, morning and night, I came here to clear my mind and make sure I was mentally prepared for the next day of training.
Suddenly, a hand wrapped around the side of my head and pulled me into her collarbone, which had a strong stench of perfume.
It smelled alright, but the amount was so overwhelming that it left a few tears in my eyes and dropped a lingering tingling sensation that followed me all the way until I looked up at the woman's face.
Upon seeing her beautiful complexion, I felt all of my worries and aches seemingly disappear from existence.
"I'm sorry I wasn't able to greet you earlier. I was on a bit of a business trip, so I hope you can forgive me,"
She had flawless dark skin lined with strange golden patterns flowing from her forehead to her cheeks, neck, and revealed shoulders.
They probably went further down, but unlike Auntie Clio, Auntie Celestine was much more proper.
This was the reason as to why she was the first face of this beautiful city and greeted any guests, while Clio was more like the sword of the city.
A brain and the sword who both built and defended this city from greedy trillionaires, countless demons, and hundreds of countries who wanted to absorb them.
"I like you better than Auntie Clio," I muttered before snuggling my face further into her collarbone but then suddenly getting a whiff of the strong floral scent. "But… maybe you should go lighter on the perfume next time,"
As I lightly coughed, now away from her attractive collarbone, Auntie Celestine suddenly stretched her hand, causing a portal to appear in the center of it.
From it, a large sword rose out, and its golden body and black handle immediately caught my attention.
Once she grabbed the handle and showed it to me intently, I noticed the flawless engravings dug into the blade of this behemoth of a weapon.
It was probably as long as my torso and head were put together, but when I held it, it felt like I was gripping a cloud.
"I used many enchantments on this, so try not to get it stolen. If some asshole wielded this… well, we might see a few interesting things,"
"Wait, this is for me?" My jaw dropped since this was too precious, and I presumed it was her own private weapon that she might use. "Or maybe it's for Auntie Clio? I don't want to take her present,"
"Don't worry, your other aunt uses sickles. Quite the interesting choice of weapons, right?" She lightly chuckled before closing the portal and standing up.
"Wait, where are you going… I-I want to talk more,"
But, before I could even stand up, she disappeared from my senses in the blink of an eye, leaving me slightly sorrowful as I wanted to get to know her better.
Suddenly, the sword I was holding began to shimmer and light golden brown as if trying to comfort me.
"Thank you… I'll treasure this gift forever…." I lightly smiled to myself before returning to my room and handing the sword to my maids.
They were all shocked at the sight of the blade and told me how precious it was since not only was it made from a highly dense material, but it was sharper than anything a mortal could produce… as if it was a gift from the gods.
"Sh-she gave me such a precious thing?" I stuttered.
"Hold on… it might be a piece of soul equipment… how about bringing the handle close to your chest and concentrating on your breathing,"
I followed my maid's instructions but didn't feel a shift in the blade I held until my eyes began to water and the weightless feeling became basically air.
I slowly opened my eyes to find the sword gone, leaving me panicked and shifting my eyes around the room.
"Young Miss, calm down. Open your status and tell me what you see,"
