The Rise of Quetzalcoatl

Chapter 310: Tolf Leader: Clio (7)

The Goddess of Reality Weaving was actually her pet… what a being.

"We have found the thief, but it's been handed off multiple times… I doubt the ones towards the bottom of the list are even aware of the power the shard holds…."

"And what about the other shards?"

"We… We haven't been able to find them yet."

And just like that, a crushing pressure nearly made my soul pop.

(Ada POV)

"Young Miss, would you like a report on the situation?" My maid of fire asked upon returning by herself.

"Where is the maid of ice?" I quickly questioned since they were supposed to return together, not separate and by themselves.

"She is currently helping to fight back the massive monster… it's… stronger than we anticipated. But besides that, the monster's real intent seems to be attacking the city instead of harming anybody. It wants to wreak havoc,"

"I see… then, I want to kill it," I smiled, and both of my maids almost seemed to sigh upon hearing me.

"As you wish," They both replied before opening the window to my room and grabbing both of my hands.

On a count of three, we jumped out of the window, and the two maids helped me fall gracefully with their respective pairs of wings.

"How do yours work?" I asked the maid of death as soon as we landed since hers was literally just bone and had absolutely no feathers.

"Think of it as more of a vessel that allows me to fly upon appearing. Flapping these wings don't do much, but the access to a flight skill appears, allowing us to basically fly through the air without the problem of exhaustion by using our wings too much,"

"Hm… I see…" I muttered, but the two looked at me with some stupid expressions that obviously were meant to say that I clearly didn't understand. "I-I swear I understand!" I quickly replied, but the maids still didn't believe me.

"Young Miss, let's get going," The maid of fire muttered, and as we ran through the city, I noticed everybody was being evacuated towards the middle of the city, otherwise known as the perimeter around the royal palace.

So, the flowing crowd stopped my movement, forcing me to be carried by my maids, who just flew across the sky.

"This is embarrassing," I blushed profusely until I was finally done being carried to the edge of the city, where I found myself looking up at the massive worm that scraped the sky.

Its body was made up of a sandstone texture and color, whilst its head wielded a massive mouth protruding with razor-sharp teeth large enough to cut skyscrapers in half.

"What shall we do now, Young Miss?" The two maids asked as I analyzed the worm, but it just seemed unstoppable from all angles.

Though, my saving grace, who provided practically angelic information, quickly flew over to me and perched itself near me.

Of course… it was my maid of ice.

"Young Miss…" The maid of ice muttered before shifting her eyes to the other two, who just silently nodded. "I see… Then, I shall inform you of its only weakness… the inside of its mouth and most likely the inside of it in general,"

"Yuck! You want me to go inside its mouth! It's slimy as hell in there! Plus, it probably stinks!"

"Young Miss, you are too weak to do any damage from the outside… on top of that, if you're whining too much, the other adventurers will take the kill from you?"

"Are you taunting me?" I angrily muttered.

"I only wish for you to fulfill your goal," The maid swiftly replied, but her eyes seemed to look down on me as if she knew I wouldn't be able to do this.

I see… so this is a moment to prove myself that I'm worthy of becoming one of their real Masters instead of something just sitting around acting pretty, complaining, and continuously whining about training.

"Fine… I'll show you," I smiled, and the maid smiled back with anticipation before waving me goodbye as I jumped off the stone wall we were on and onto the sand.

I broke my fall with a blast of green flames and then charged toward the massive worm, already planning my way up.

I would've liked to use my maids, but I feel like asking them would just force me to receive an even worse evaluation.

"Huff… huff… huff… huff…"

Opening my status, I saw that I had absolutely nothing to help me with scaling this massive beast, so I used what came to mind and rolled with it.

Blasting an explosion of green flames from below me, I was sent flying into the air, and then I summoned the sword I had received before wedging them into the tile-like skin of this gargantuan monster.

Upon closer inspection, the sandstone texture had massive indents large enough for me to crawl into or place my sword on.

I caught myself high up on the beast using this technique, landing on my sword and then creating another blast of flames that sent me flying into the air.

Repeating this process a few more times was more than enough for me to reach the top, where I found several adventurers weakening the beast's eyes, nose, and ears which were literal massive gaping holes.

"Alright… the mouth… but would it be the same in the ear?" I muttered to myself before switching my destination and landing in the gaping ear hole.

The sandstone texture disappeared the further I ran in, but I also noticed these slimy adventurers practically crawling inside of here.

I wasn't the only one who had this idea, yet none of them were even able to land a single scratch.

I guess it's time for me to show off…

I lightly smirked before shouting, "[Draconic Flame Magic]!"

A massive trail of green flames erupted from my hands, barreling towards the soft pale flesh within the ear, and upon colliding…

BOOOOOOM

There was not a single scratch mark, burn, tear, anything…
