"No need to stare so much. I only came here to hear about your plane…. I mean, getting rid of these angels is my top priority, so just ignore me being here and lay down your bloodlust. I won't do anything," The woman muttered, and as I slowly turned my head turned towards her, I saw those eerie black eyes stare into my soul. They sucked my consciousness in, twisting and turning and throwing it around until I could no longer feel my own mind. I was gone.

"Who… are you…?" Ethel glared at the woman who stood behind my chair, leaning over the backboard and drooping her arms down to my chest, letting them limply lay there. Clearly, she just came here to scare me and have us entertain her.

"How are you here? You aren't supposed to be able to infiltrate the mortal world," Celestine muttered, clearly knowing who this was. I mean, she was the person who gave my daughter that god-forbidden weapon, so it really wasn't too surprising. I was just a bit disappointed she didn't warn any of us about her existence sooner.

"Oh, but this isn't the mortal world is it?" The goddess smiled at Celestine, who shivered under her gaze. She immediately redirected her gaze down to the table while a pair of slender white hands wrapped under my chin and then slid upwards, a pair of arms cupping my entire face.

I couldn't move. Whether it was out of fear, maybe some kind of skill, or just the pressure of this woman, I couldn't move a single inch. I was frozen in place whilst my daughter helplessly gasped for air as soon as she snapped awake.

"Please… my daughter," I just barely managed to squeeze out, dragging my eyes upwards to a pair of black eyes quickly focusing on me. In the very depths of these eyes, an X-shaped pupil and a diamond-shaped pupil ever so gently glimmered with a golden glow. "She is going to die…"

"I understand…" The goddess sighed, slowly backing off. I wasn't able to see her now, so her next actions were completely unknown to me, but for some reason, the cracking and groaning of churning flesh erupted from behind me. From the faces parallel to me, I could tell it was something horrifying. So horrifying that it almost made Ethel puke up her guts.

And when she revealed herself once again, all I saw was a single… black chick? It was a harmless black chick with the same eerie eyes as before, but all of the threatening aurae were sealed. It was really just… a harmless black chick, no bigger than the size of my fist.

"Chick?" My daughter coughed, touching her throat as she saw the goddess who had shape-shifted down into a harmless little avian. The bird didn't even talk, just chirping before hopping into my daughter's lap.

"This is quite the turn of events," Silas nervously chuckled, a drop of sweat rolling down the side of his head as he saw the all-powerful being sitting in my daughter's lap. He could hardly rip his eyes away from it, frightful that it might do something else again. And it wasn't just him that had this same suspicion, but everybody else in the room.

"Honey, are you okay?" Mia leaned over to my chair, touching our daughter's arm. And as she nodded, confirming she wasn't hurt, Mia glanced up at me. She gulped down a large drop of saliva before scanning her eyes down to the chick. "Make sure you protect her."

"Wow… and you're not even going to check on me? Hm? Am I not worthy of your worry or something?" I scoffed, darting my eyes away from the woman, who let out a long sigh. I waited for her to apologize and check up on me, but such a thing never happened.

"Mother, are you okay?" Ada looked up at me, holding the chick with both of her hands gently. She didn't seem to realize just what this thing was as she was way too light-headed to tell what was occurring. I felt almost jealous of hers since she was so oblivious to the situation. "Also, where did that monster go?"

The chick in her hand angrily stamped in her grasp before sitting down adorably, attempting to cross its feathery wings. The chick almost seemed to pout as she scanned the table once again, seeing everybody begin to wind down.

"Y-Yeah, I'm good… A-Anyway, we should start the meeting, and since nobody wants to go, I'll just bring up something," I muttered, taking out a tablet from my inventory and logging in. Soon, I opened up my notes application and read out what I typed down. "I recently obtained the assistance of the Japanese Emperor. We had a bit of a strained relationship prior, but we put our differences and conflict aside to get rid of this common enemy with a deal."

"And what might that deal be?" Ethel asked, slightly raising her eyebrow as such a favorable exchange would have cost quite a lot. And she didn't seem like the only one who was wondering this, so I decided to say it, despite the looks and I might get.

"It's a political marriage between my daughter and his son. Of course, it's just for show and a kind of insurance, so if I dare to break the deal, then he has my daughter in his grasp. Of course, I have no intention of doing such a thing."

"That's not all. Tell us what else you had to offer… because there is no way that guy would participate in a deal that only favors the other while he gets no benefit. There may be no negative, but he's all about profit and expansion. So what else did you promise him? Maybe give him?" Electra smirked, taking off her headphones but simultaneously kicking her legs up onto the round stone table.

"If we do manage to conquer the world, I offered him a spot as a high-ranking official noble, royal, whatever we decide on. It's a bit of a risky business, but in the end, if it gets too risky, we can kill him… maybe."
