Chapter 275: The First Domino Falls

The SUV glided away from the prison walls, the tires humming against the asphalt. Ethan leaned forward, his eyes reflecting the passing city lights like cold diamonds.

"Take me to Futu63are Technologies," said Ethan.

Falcon 20 nodded, his hands steady on the steering wheel. "Understood, boss. We'll be there in twenty minutes," said the driver.

Ethan pulled out his phone and dialed a secure line. It didn't ring twice before a familiar, gravelly voice picked up.

"Ethan, Boss. What's the word?" said Jason.

"What's your status? What are you seeing out there?" said Ethan.

"We just reached the coordinates where the transport truck is supposed to pass in a few days. We did a low-altitude sweep with the helicopter, but something is off. Based on the satellite data we received, there isn't a road down there. Not even a dirt track. No tire marks, no cleared brush... nothing. It's like they're planning to drive through solid forest," said Jason.

Ethan narrowed his eyes, his mind working through the tactical implications. "That's strange. If there's no road, they aren't using trucks, or the 'trucks' aren't what we think they are. Don't push it. Don't alert the targets. It might be better if you head back for now," said Ethan.

"Copy that. We'll just do a couple more passes to be absolutely sure we didn't miss a hidden entrance or a cloaked facility, then we're heading home," said Jason.

"Stay sharp. If they have the tech to hide a road, they have the tech to see a helicopter," said Ethan.

He ended the call and immediately dialed another number. This time, the voice that answered was soft, professional, and tinged with a hint of excitement.

"Ethan? I wasn't expecting a call this early," said Lena.

"Lena, I need you to prepare the paperwork for a total acquisition. I'm making a move on a company. My vengeance has finally begun," said Ethan.

"Which one? Give me the name and I'll have the shells ready by morning," said Lena.

"Future Technologies. I want the majority stake, I want the board dismantled, and I want it done before the market opens tomorrow. I'm on my way there now to personally deliver the news to whoever is left in that building," said Ethan.

"Consider it done. I'll start the aggressive buy-back immediately. It's time they learned who really owns the future," said Lena.

Ethan hung up and stared out the window. The skyline of the city loomed ahead, and at its heart sat the glass tower of the company that had betrayed his father.

Ethan stepped out of the vehicle with a firm stride, the night air biting at his face, but his mind was already on fire. He couldn't afford to waste another second.

"Falcon, do we have people in the area?" asked Ethan.

"Yes, boss. Ever since the fall of Olympus, this entire sector has been under our jurisdiction. We have rapid response teams patrolling just a few blocks away," said Falcon 20.

"Call every available man. I want them to surround the building immediately. No one leaves Future Technologies without my express permission, and if anyone tries to force their way out, they are to be subdued without hesitation," said Ethan.

"Understood. Giving the signal now," said Falcon 20 as he pressed his earpiece.

After a few minutes of aggressive driving, they arrived at the base of the towering glass skyscraper. The deployment of the Royals was impressive; several black vehicles were already blocking the side exits and the parking garage. However, right in front of the main entrance, the scene was chaotic. A police cruiser was parked with its lights flashing, and an officer was arguing heatedly with one of Ethan's security guards.

"Hurry up, Falcon. I want to see what the hell is going on over there," said Ethan.

The SUV screeched to a halt right behind the patrol car. Ethan opened the door before the vehicle had even fully stopped. The argument escalated as the officer tried to put a hand on the Royal guard.

"I told you, you can't siege a private building! Move these vehicles right now or everyone is going to jail!" shouted the police officer.

"Sir, we have superior orders. No one enters and no one leaves until our client arrives," said the Royal guard, holding his ground with his hand near his holster.

"Superior orders? I am the law here! Move!" shouted the officer, visibly agitated.

Ethan walked toward them with a terrifying calm, his boots echoing against the pavement. His presence was so heavy that the officer fell silent instantly, a chill running down his spine.

"It seems we have a communication problem, officer. Do you mind telling me why you're interrupting my operation?" asked Ethan.

"Your operation? Who the hell are you?" asked the officer, though his voice was no longer as steady.

"I am the new owner of this place, and you are obstructing a private security audit. Now, decide if you want to be part of the problem or if you'd rather retreat before your badge ends up on my desk," said Ethan.

At that moment, the heavy glass doors of the lobby swung open and a man in a sharp, slate-gray suit stepped out. He adjusted his glasses with a clinical coldness that made the air feel even thinner.

"Officer, this man has full authority here. I don't know who called you, but I suggest you vacate the premises immediately," said Auditor Sterling.

The officer's face went pale the moment he recognized the man. Sterling was a Federal Auditor known for being a merciless shark; he had dismantled billionaires and brought down entire corrupt precincts without blinking. To a local beat cop, he was the personification of a career-ending nightmare.

"Mr. Sterling! I... I didn't realize federal oversight was already on-site. My apologies, I was just responding to a disturbance call," said the officer.

"The only disturbance here is your presence. Leave. Now," said Sterling.

The officer didn't wait for a third warning....
