Making her way down the ravine until she reached a spot just a few meters above where most of the big forest rabbits were busy eating the deceased human, Scaly did her best to act like a harmless lizard as she just curiously observed what was happening below.

Not attacking immediately as she instead just looked like she intended to wait around until the big forest rabbits so she could go down and eat what was left.

After all, most of the lizards in the forest would do something along that line when they spotted something being devoured, as they were among the weakest monsters in the forest and could only get by in this kind of way. Scavenging what was left behind by other more powerful monsters.

The only real monster that these lizards had a chance to take on was the weakest forest rabbits, but even then, it wasn't a guaranteed victory.

For this reason, the big forest rabbit that had been keeping an eye on Scaly so far decided that it wasn't worth its time after seeing that she wasn't anything special or a threat to the rest of the big forest rabbits present.

The main reason why it even bothered to keep an eye on her for so long being that the color of her scales was different from the normal lizards it had seen. Making it think it might be different compared to ordinary lizards, something that it decided against after seeing her patiently waiting above the group of big forest rabbits to leave.

Hehe, my disguise is flawless! Now I should be able to use my water magic to kill the few big forest rabbits below before they have time to react. At that point, even if the rest of the big forest rabbits present join together to fight me, I should be more than strong enough to deal with them.

Only when all of the water spears had already been fully conjured and were about to descend, did the big forest rabbit that had turned its attention away from her after determining her to be a non-threat, glance back in her direction to check up on the harmless lizard.

Soon letting out a loud squeaking sound that alerted the rest of the big forest rabbits to the danger-

However, it was already too late at this point in time, as the big forest rabbits in the process of consuming the dead human only managed to turn around and look up towards the water spears hovering only a few meters above them before they descended with a speed far too fast for them to move out of the way or defend against…

And soon enough Scaly was faced with a long list of notifications as close to 60% of the big forest rabbits present inside the ravine ended up dying to her water spears. Directly allowing her to reach level 24 in a single step. Only two levels away from her strength breaking through the hundred-point mark.

Although far from the same level of growth as when killing humans, Scaly was still overjoyed with her increase in strength following the death of the big forest rabbits below. Especially considering that it had taken her close to no effort, outside of the mana used to conjure up the water spears.

As for the big forest rabbits below, Scaly didn't fear them in the slightest, as she jumped off the wall of the ravine and descended towards one of the lucky few survivors of her water spear ambush-

Recovering from their initial shock following the ambush as Scaly descended into the ravine, the remaining big forest rabbits were all filled with a profound killing intent as they rushed towards her with their claws at the ready.

Though their numbers had dwindled to only a little more than a dozen, they still had an unbreakable confidence as they charged towards Scaly. All of them clearly thinking that she should be exhausted after using so much magic and shouldn't be able to continue fighting with them for long-

Chiiiing~!

Unfortunately, the big forest rabbits were soon proven wrong, as Scaly skillfully blocked their attacks and fought back with both her sharp claws and her water magic.

Even though the water spears she had used earlier did drain a large part of her mana, her magic had already broken through over 200. Meaning that she had more than enough mana to spare when it came to fighting with these big forest rabbits.

The only real problem she had when it came to mana was the fact that she couldn't use her claw strike skill strengthened with mana more than once or twice in her current state, as the drain it put on her mana was still as terrifying as ever. Resulting in Scaly only using it in a life and death situation where she couldn't normally deal with her opponent-

And considering that most of the remaining big forest rabbits in the ravine were at most around level 20 with only two of them reaching level 30 and 31, she didn't feel the need to use such a strong skill and instead went along with her normal fighting style of using her water magic to force her opponent into a difficult position before finishing them off with her claws.

Of course, she could also go the other way around and distract them with her normal claw attacks while using her magic to sneakily launch a water spear from the side to kill them before they had time to react.

However, she had no need for any special attacks, as the big forest rabbits were far weaker than her. Allowing her to easily win the battle and force the few smart ones left among the big forest rabbits to flee out of the ravine.

Then again, Scaly had no interest in allowing the last few big forest rabbits to just run away, as she decided to chase after them. Intending to kill them, while at the same time also curious about how they had managed to find themselves inside the ravine in the first place.

After all, they weren't like her and couldn't climb the walls of the ravine like she could and if they fell in, they should have died or at least be in a far worse state than what she found them in.

With that in mind, Scaly killed off every single one of the escaping big forest rabbits except for one of them, as she pretended to lose it while silently following it from behind. Intending to kill it after satiating her curiosity and finding out how the big forest rabbits had managed to find their way into the ravine without being injured in the process.

All things considered, everything was going quite well for her so far, to the point where Scaly started feeling a bit uneasy about where the big forest rabbit in front of her was heading. Making part of her feel like it might be better to just kill it and leave the ravine before something bad happens-

However, she didn't get a chance to do this, as the origin for her uneasy feeling appeared directly above the ravine staring straight down at the escaping big forest rabbit with a hungry look in its eyes.

Looking up at this new monster out of the rock she had just barely managed to jump behind, Scaly could not help feeling a shiver run down her spine.

It wasn't the ancient dire wolf she had seen back on the ancient dire wolf mountain, but instead a brand new ancient dire wolf.

Not just that, but this ancient dire wolf was clearly far stronger than the ancient dire wolf she had seen back then. Not to mention, it hadn't been injured by the humans and ended up losing one of its legs like the one she had seen fighting with the humans!

This… Please don't see me…

Only able to think this to herself as she remained hidden behind the small rock, Scaly nervously watched as the big forest rabbit she had been secretly chasing was grabbed by the ancient dire wolf before being carried away.

Luckily, it looked like the ancient dire wolf didn't discover her…
