Urban Carefree Warrior God

Chapter 161: Fight with Fists and Feet? Are You Worthy?

A clamor of discussion erupted.

The cemetery's security personnel, responsible for maintaining order, mobilized upon hearing the commotion, rushing from all directions toward the center of the gathering. Chen Yang paid them no mind and continued forward.

Zhang Tianxiong's face was grim, but a ferocious smile soon twisted his lips, his eyes blazing with murderous intent. At this point, anyone could see that Zhang Tianxiong detested the young man and that the conflict between them was irreconcilable.

"Looks like this young man is really here to crash the party!"

"No doubt about it. I bet his arrival has something to do with Zhang Zhi's death."

This was supposed to be the tragic occasion of a white-haired man burying his own kin, and he was a prestigious Six-Bags Elder of the Martial Association. If the funeral was disrupted, not only would the deceased find no peace, but how could Zhang Tianxiong save face? To put it bluntly, this was an outright, public humiliation.

"Don't be nervous. We mean no harm," Yang Hu said, surveying the area and flashing a predatory grin at the security guards who were eyeing them with hostility.

Qi Zhentian's heart was in turmoil. This guy is truly audacious and reckless! First, he killed Zhang Zhi, and now he shows up at the funeral? He has no regard for Zhang Tianxiong whatsoever.

Seeing Zhang Tianxiong's murderous glare, Qi Zhentian knew he didn't need to get involved. He took a small step back to watch the situation unfold.

However, something unexpected happened. A tall man in his forties with a receding hairline strode out from the crowd, making a beeline for Chen Yang.

"Zhao Qian?"

"That guy is a real sycophant, always sniffing for an opportunity!"

A wave of jeers and mockery rippled through the attendees. It was indeed a good opportunity to curry favor with Zhang Tianxiong, but wasn't it a bit too impulsive?

The middle-aged man, Zhao Qian, remained unfazed. In fact, he was quite pleased with himself for seizing this chance to suck up. With so many people here, why was I the one to grab this opportunity? Quick-wittedness! He had to admire his own astuteness.

"Kid, do you know where you are?" Zhao Qian boomed as he approached Chen Yang. "I suggest you be smart about this. Kneel down, kowtow twice, and then get the hell out of here. Elder Zhang doesn't want to see you! If you refuse, then prepare to face the wrath of Zhao Qian!"

Chen Yang turned a deaf ear.

"Are you deaf?" Zhao Qian fumed. With so many people watching, how dare this punk ignore him? Without another word, he started to call for his bodyguards.

BANG!

Yang Hu's fist crashed down, striking the top of Zhao Qian's head. With a dull thud, Zhao Qian's knees buckled, and he collapsed to the ground. Blood gushed from the wound on his head and streamed from all seven orifices.

The bodyguards who were rushing over froze in their tracks. In fact, the entire, sprawling venue had fallen deathly silent, followed by a series of sharp, collective gasps. The single punch sent a shiver of terror through the entire crowd.

"There's no problem if you want to be someone's dog, but if you're going to bark in our faces, how could we not smash your dog head in?" The burly Yang Hu flicked the blood from his hand, a chilling smile playing on his lips as he stared down at the groveling Zhao Qian. His smiles were always tinged with a wickedness that made one's blood run cold.

Instantly, beads of cold sweat rolled down Zhao Qian's forehead, his greasy face turning as white as a sheet. This… this guy… what kind of skills does he have?

"I—I apologize. I'm sorry," Zhao Qian stammered, scrambling to apologize.

BANG!

Yang Hu kicked out as if punting a soccer ball. Zhao Qian was the ball, sent flying seven or eight meters before crashing heavily into a flower bed.

"This… this…"

Another wave of gasps rippled through the crowd. Who could have thought that this newcomer would be so ferocious, so brazenly violent?

"Elder Zhang," Qi Zhentian said, taking a deep breath. The scene before him dragged him back to that terrifying birthday banquet.

Zhang Tianxiong's face was a mask of indifference. "You little bastard," he said coldly. "Get on your knees and kowtow to Zhang Zhi to atone for your crime."

"Let's not talk about Zhang Zhi for now," Chen Yang said, waving his hand dismissively. He stood before Zhang Tianxiong and stated coolly, "First, let's talk about you. I hear you've been going around Lingjin City, boasting that you're going to deal with my entire family?"

"YES!"

Zhang Tianxiong spat out the single word like a clap of thunder, the chilling sound wave slamming into everyone's ears, threatening to tear their eardrums. Countless faces paled in horror.

Speaking with the force of thunder… So this is the power of a Six-Bags Elder of the Martial Association?

Chen Yang, however, just smiled. "Don't you understand the principle that those who kill will be killed? Or do you think your status in the Martial Association lets you act with impunity?"

"Zhang Zhi was a reserve cadre of the Martial Association and my only grandson," Zhang Tianxiong seethed, taking a step forward. His sinister eyes locked onto Chen Yang. "Even if he made a mistake, it wasn't for others to judge him. But you… you took his life!"

Chen Yang met his gaze. "If I could do it over again, I wouldn't have handled him that way."

A small smirk touched Zhang Tianxiong's lips. He naturally assumed Chen Yang was backing down, preparing to negotiate. But his expression turned utterly grim when he heard Chen Yang's next words.

"Because," Chen Yang said, "that was too good for him. If I had another chance, I would have made it so he could neither live nor die."

"You're courting death!" Zhang Tianxiong's malevolent aura surged.

Chen Yang waved his hand dismissively again. "The dead are gone. There's nothing more to say about it. Now, let's talk about you." He glanced toward the memorial hall.

White banners and wreaths. Funereal music was being played and bells tolled, performed by a top-notch orchestra. In attendance was half of Lingjin City's high society. Without a doubt, it was a grand funeral.

But did Zhang Zhi really deserve such an elaborate ceremony?

"You arranged this funeral yourself?" Chen Yang asked, his gaze sweeping the scene before returning to Zhang Tianxiong. "So, I imagine you'd be quite satisfied if it were used for you, right?"

Qi Zhentian froze for a moment before his eyes widened. Is he insane? This is beyond arrogant!

Zhang Tianxiong actually laughed. What did he take him for? A pushover to be toyed with at will?

SNAP.

Chen Yang snapped his fingers and ordered Yang Hu, "Finish it." Then, he simply turned and walked away.

Zhang Tianxiong was speechless.

Qi Zhentian was speechless.

The entire crowd was speechless. Utterly arrogant!

Yang Hu didn't say a word. He just slowly pulled a pair of white gloves from his pocket and put them on with deliberate care. "Dying at a funeral you planned yourself," he muttered to himself, "what an honor!"

Yang Hu looked up and grinned at Zhang Tianxiong. "Wouldn't you agree?"

"DIE!"

Zhang Tianxiong was incandescent with rage. He didn't waste another word and attacked. Today, neither of these two would leave alive!

WHOOSH!

Zhang Tianxiong moved with the speed of wind and lightning. Wrapped in a fierce gale, he was like a tiger descending a mountain—unstoppable. As a Six-Bags Elder, his formidable strength was beyond question.

BANG!

Suddenly, a gunshot rang out.

Amid the drifting smoke, Zhang Tianxiong, who had been about to unleash a thunderous strike, froze. His eyes widened in disbelief and indignation. Finally, he collapsed, his body stiff.

Yang Hu blew on the muzzle of his pistol as he holstered it. "Did you think I'd fight you hand-to-hand?" he scoffed. "Do you think you're worthy?"

He spat contemptuously on the ground. Then, Yang Hu hurried to catch up with Chen Yang, making a call to have someone handle the cleanup.

Qi Zhentian was speechless.

The crowd was stunned into silence.
