Chapter 188: What's the Skill in Holding a Gun?

Everyone was dumbfounded. That was a fifth-level Fist Master, yet...

This!!!

Ignoring the scarred man, Yang Hu slowly wiped the blood from his hands and turned to Kang Shuai. "Are you the mastermind?"

"Who are you?" Kang Shuai asked in a low voice. He took a deep breath, still reeling from the shock but managing to maintain his composure.

Yang Hu grinned, walked right up to him, and hoisted him up by his collar. "I asked, are you the mastermind?"

"Do you have any idea who I am? Let me go this instant!" Kang Shuai roared. This is my turf. Has this guy lost his mind?

SLAP!

Yang Hu struck him across the face. "Answer my question."

Kang Shuai was left speechless. Zhou Yufei and Zhou Songquan were also stunned. This guy is just too ferocious! Who on earth is he?

"I'm from the Kang Family, one of the four great super-families of Lingjin City!"

SLAP!

His only answer was another resounding slap.

Yang Hu sneered. "So what if you're from the Kang Family?"

The two slaps left Kang Shuai completely dazed.

THUD.

Yang Hu flung him to the ground. "Forget it. Someone will be here to deal with you later."

With that, he ordered his men to bandage Zhou Songquan's wounds.

Kang Shuai landed hard on the ground, feeling as if his tailbone had cracked. The sharp pain and utter humiliation nearly brought him to tears. I... He scrambled to pull out his phone and call for backup.

Yang Hu paid him no mind, instead picking up a cup of tea from the table. He sipped it leisurely as he asked Zhou Yufei, "Miss, are you all right?"

"I-I'm fine," Zhou Yufei said, shaking her head. For some reason, this young man reminded her of Chen Yang. They were both so violent, so supremely confident. Could he have been sent by that guy?

While she was lost in her thoughts, Kang Shuai had already finished his call. He said nothing, sitting there quietly as a cruel, venomous sneer crept onto his lips. In Lingjin City, no one dares to challenge the Kang Family!

Yang Hu, still sipping his tea, glanced at Kang Shuai. "Not going to make another call?"

"Hah!" Kang Shuai laughed, his voice thick with fury. "Just you wait! I'm going to watch you die!"

He had lived for over thirty years and had never met anyone so arrogant. Does he think he can ascend to the heavens?

「Soon」

A middle-aged man of about fifty burst into the villa with a dozen others. They all had grim expressions and radiated killing intent.

Kang Shuai immediately shot to his feet, pointing at Yang Hu with a savage grin. "Seventh Uncle, that's the bastard! Kill him! Help me kill him!"

"And who might you be, that you dare to lay hands on a member of my Kang Family?" The middle-aged man Kang Shuai called Seventh Uncle stared at Yang Hu, his eyes as cold as daggers and his voice eerily chilling.

Yang Hu pulled over a chair, sat down, and calmly lit a cigarette. "Why don't you ask me why I struck him," he said mildly, "or what the situation is here?"

"Haha..." Seventh Uncle guffawed. "Are you naive enough to ask me a question like that?"

Yang Hu smiled as well, shaking his head. "So you're saying you have no intention of being reasonable."

"Reasonable?" Seventh Uncle scoffed. "Who do you think you are to talk about reason with me?" He raised his hand, about to give the order to attack.

CLACK.

Yang Hu pulled out a handgun and slammed it on the table. He slowly exhaled a plume of smoke and grinned at Seventh Uncle.

Seventh Uncle froze.

"As it happens," Yang Hu said, flicking ash from his cigarette, "I specialize in dealing with unreasonable people."

Seventh Uncle's expression shifted several times before he finally snarled, "You've got a death wish!"

The words had barely left his mouth when the two men who had just finished bandaging Zhou Songquan's wounds also drew their guns.

Seventh Uncle was stunned into silence.

Everyone else was dumbfounded.

Who on earth are these people?

"You..." Seventh Uncle's face turned livid, and for a moment, he was at a loss. Although he was stronger than the scarred man, his opponents had guns—more than one. No matter how fast he was, he couldn't possibly be faster than a bullet.

"Kneel," Yang Hu commanded.

Seventh Uncle gritted his teeth. "This is Lingjin City. Don't push your luck."

"Three... two..." Yang Hu held up three fingers, folding them down one by one as he counted.

Seventh Uncle glared, the veins on his forehead throbbing with rage. This is utterly humiliating!

"One."

Yang Hu snatched the pistol from the table and aimed it at Seventh Uncle.

Clenching his jaw, Seventh Uncle finally knelt. The dozen men behind him quickly followed suit. They just wanted to live; that was all.

Yang Hu gestured with the gun. "Kneel to the sides. Don't block the path."

Seventh Uncle complied, then said in a low, menacing voice, "Kid, I hope you know what you're doing."

Just then, more footsteps sounded from outside the villa.

Seeing the newcomer, Yang Hu quickly stood and went to greet him with a grin. "Boss, thank god the young lady is fine. But the kid's in bad shape; he was stabbed seven or eight times."

The newcomer was, of course, Chen Yang. Instantly, all eyes focused on him. So he's the real one in charge?

Kang Shuai's eyes widened in disbelief. "It's you!"

Zhou Yufei froze for a moment, then covered her mouth, tears of joy welling in her eyes. This man... he always appears at her side at the most critical moment.

"I didn't expect it to be you, either," Chen Yang said, glancing at Kang Shuai with some surprise. He then walked over to Zhou Yufei and smiled. "Are you all right?"

Zhou Yufei shook her head and quickly explained what had happened.

Chen Yang narrowed his eyes at Kang Shuai. "You've been looking for me? Well, I'm here now. Tell me, what was it you wanted?"

Kang Shuai was speechless. What in the world is going on?

Finally, Kang Shuai lifted his head. "Using guns doesn't make you tough."

"Oh? Are you saying we're just bullying you with guns?" Yang Hu chuckled, signaling his two men to put their weapons away.

The moment Yang Hu holstered his own gun, a cold glint flashed in Seventh Uncle's eyes. He shot forward like a cheetah, swift as the wind. He charged straight for Yang Hu, determined to obliterate the bastard who had forced him to kneel with a single punch.

BOOM! BOOM!

The roar of sonic booms echoed through the room.

THUD!

A heavy, muffled impact suddenly reverberated through the air.

But to everyone's utter astonishment, Yang Hu remained seated, steady as a mountain, while it was Seventh Uncle who was sent flying backward to land five or six meters away.

This... Kang Shuai's eyes bulged as if he'd seen a ghost. How... how is this possible?

"I just didn't want to get my hands dirty," Yang Hu said nonchalantly, wiping his hand.

Now, Kang Shuai was truly terrified. His courage shattered, and a cold dread filled him.

After a long pause, Kang Shuai stammered, "My... my sister is a constable! You'd better watch yourselves!"

"Then call her over," Chen Yang said.

Kang Shuai fell silent.
