Chapter 337: Do You Dare or Not?

The Feiyang Martial Arts School was located at the busiest crossroads in the northern part of Lingjin City. Even from a distance, one could see its four glittering golden characters. With its antique-style decorations and imposing entrance, anyone passing by would pause briefly to look inside.

In a society where martial arts were becoming ever more prevalent, both dojos and the Martial Association were places people yearned to be.

As soon as Chen Yang stepped through the gate of the martial arts school, he was stopped by two young men dressed in uniform training clothes.

"Are you here to sign up?" one of them asked.

Ever since the repeated incidents of individuals overpowering the Martial Association, more and more people had been signing up at the Feiyang Martial Arts School.

Chen Yang smiled. "I'm here to find Li Zhendong."

"You're looking for our Master?" The disciple frowned. "Do you have an appointment? If not, you can't go in."

"Our Master isn't someone you can meet just because you want to!" the other man added, his face a mask of haughtiness.

With his hands clasped behind his back, Chen Yang said calmly, "Tell him my name is Chen Yang. He will come to see me."

"Who's Chen Yang? Never heard of him!" the arrogant young man said, waving his hand impatiently. "Hurry up and leave."

"What's going on here? This guy isn't here to cause trouble, is he?"

"This guy doesn't look like good news."

Some disciples practicing nearby noticed the commotion at the entrance and crowded around, each scowling and staring menacingly at Chen Yang.

These martial artists really do have fiery tempers, Chen Yang shook his head helplessly. I only said a few words, and they've already labeled me a troublemaker?

Just as he was about to explain, a familiar face emerged from the training hall.

"What are you all gathered here for?"

The newcomer was big and burly, a veritable moving iron tower with eyes as large as brass bells and a voice like thunder.

"Young Master, this guy seems to be here to cause trouble. You should teach him a good lesson!"

"Right, teach him a lesson! Let him know how formidable our Feiyang Martial Arts School is!"

The group of disciples spoke up, their voices full of arrogant confidence.

"Hmph!"

The muscular young man snorted coldly. "Coming to our Feiyang Martial Arts School to stir up trouble, you must be…"

His words were cut short. His already huge eyes widened even further, as if he had seen a ghost in broad daylight.

Chen Yang greeted him with a smile. "Long time no see."

THUMP. THUMP. THUMP.

The young man stumbled backward several steps, nearly collapsing to the ground.

"You… how did you get here?"

This person was none other than Li Zhendong's eldest son, Li Ben. He leaned against a pillar, his body trembling and his teeth chattering.

The surrounding disciples were collectively dumbfounded.

What's going on? This guy doesn't have three heads and six arms, so how did he terrify our Senior Brother so much?

"I'm here to see your father," Chen Yang said calmly.

"My… my dad isn't here!" Li Ben denied instantly.

Chen Yang knew he was lying and shook his head in resignation. "I'm not here to fight. I'm here to discuss a collaboration with him."

"Then… this way, please." Li Ben wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and extended a respectful invitation, leading the way.

Although some time had passed, the memory of this man's terrifying power remained a nightmare in his mind, often waking him in the middle of the night. It was truly terrifying!

"Lord Chen, please wait here for a moment. I'll go get my father right away."

"Go on."

Chen Yang waved his hand and looked around the martial arts school. The training hall, over 2,000 square meters, held 300 or 400 people, all in uniform. They were gathered in small groups, looking him over with strange expressions and whispering amongst themselves.

"That's the guy who defeated those young masters at the entrance of Lingjin University. I heard that even our Master personally went to their home to apologize."

"That's him? He's so young. Could he be all talk and no substance?"

"If you ask me, if it really came to a fight, he wouldn't be a match for our Master."

Hearing these unconvinced murmurs, Chen Yang listened with a faint smile, saying nothing. Every martial artist had a defiant heart; no one liked being overshadowed.

"Lord Chen!"

Li Zhendong, dressed in black training clothes, strode over. He clasped his hands in greeting and laughed heartily. "Welcome, Lord Chen! Your presence brings light to my humble school."

Accompanying him was a middle-aged man of about the same age. He maintained a constant frown and showed no intention of offering a greeting.

"You flatter me, Master Li," Chen Yang replied with a smile, returning the courtesy.

Standing before Chen Yang, Li Zhendong pointed to the man beside him. "This is my older brother and the Vice-Master of the Feiyang Martial Arts School, Li Zhenmin."

"Hmph!"

Li Zhenmin snorted coldly. "He's just a brat who hasn't even grown hair on his chin. Why are you being so deferential?"

This statement voiced the thoughts of nearly every student present. In their eyes, Li Zhendong was a god-like figure, yet here he was, bowing and scraping before a young man. One could only imagine their indignation.

"Brother, didn't I already explain things to you?" Li Zhendong's brow furrowed deeply. "Fix your attitude and stop spouting nonsense."

Li Zhenmin scoffed disdainfully. "Talk is useless! A fight is the only way to know for sure!"

His words were filled with provocation.

"A fight!"

"Yeah, kid! Do you dare fight our Vice-Master!"

With Li Zhenmin taking the lead, the students in the hall began to shout arrogantly.

"Kid, I'm asking you, do you dare?" Li Zhenmin demanded, stepping forward with a haughty expression.

"Nonsense!" Li Zhendong scolded, his face dark. He turned and began to apologize profusely to Chen Yang.

Chen Yang just smiled nonchalantly. "Let's get down to business."

"I came here today to ask Master Li if you have any thoughts on expanding the Feiyang Martial Arts School?"

"Uh…" Li Zhendong was somewhat confused by Chen Yang's question but answered truthfully. "Lord Chen, you may not be aware, but the Martial Association has an explicit rule. We're allowed to open a martial arts school, but the number of students cannot exceed five hundred. I've already reached that limit."

Who wouldn't want their school to grow larger and stronger? However, with the Martial Association looming over them, no one dared to cross that red line.

"The Martial Association is truly domineering," Chen Yang chuckled. "Is this rule for all martial arts schools?"

"Yes." Li Zhendong nodded helplessly, his voice filled with lingering fear. "Last year, a school on Qingqiu Dao tried to recruit six hundred people. As a result, the entire upper echelon of the school was slaughtered, wiped out to the last man."

"What if I told you that I'll handle the Martial Association? If you could expand your school freely, would you dare?" Chen Yang asked, getting straight to the point with a faint smile.

Li Zhendong was rendered speechless.

As was everyone else.

The Martial Association? He'll handle them? Heh… To think so highly of himself is one thing, but to belittle the Martial Association like this… has this guy lost his mind?

"Second Brother, this guy is a lunatic!" Li Zhenmin mocked coldly while Li Zhendong was still in shock. "Kid, do you have any idea what kind of entity the Martial Association is? For someone as reckless as you, they could kill a whole crowd of people like you with a single strand of hair! And you'll handle them? Tell me, what are you going to use to back that up?"

Li Zhenmin laughed derisively. "Don't tell me you plan to do it with passion alone?"

"Lord Chen, you must know that the Association President has already reached the Thirteenth-Order Thousand-Faced Yama realm. No one dares to oppose him," Li Zhendong sighed.

In truth, his words had already made his stance clear. I admire your strength, but that doesn't mean I'm willing to follow you to my death. The two are separate matters.

"Thirteenth-Order… is that so impressive?"

Chen Yang slowly raised his right hand, his index and middle fingers crossing and gently snapping together.

SNAP.

With the crisp sound, a faint violet-golden glow burst forth, sending ripples spreading out in all directions.

"This…"

Li Zhendong's pupils dilated, his eyes widening to their absolute limit. Everyone else was stunned, frozen to the spot.

This… this…
