Chapter 357: Who Are You Exactly?

Liu Ruyan stood with her hands behind her back, as indifferent as the wind.

The other members of the Martial Association, however, all broke into sneers, eyeing Chen Yang with great interest.

This man thought he could handle the struggle between Feiyang Martial Arts School and the Martial Association, not knowing that in their eyes, he was no more than an insect.

What of a Sixth Grade Military General?

In the eyes of the Martial Association, he was utterly worthless.

"Oh?" Chen Yang's eyebrows furrowed slightly. "Miss Liu, may I ask what kind of plaque it is?"

"It is, naturally, the signboard of our Martial Association," Liu Ruyan said unhurriedly.

Chen Yang cracked a smile. "Miss Liu, how could your Martial Association's signboard end up on my Feiyang Martial Arts School's turf? Don't tell me Miss Liu wants to share the premises with me?"

"I'm afraid not. This place is barely big enough for my own school, and I have no plans to share it."

"Mr. Chen, there's no need to keep up the act. Do as I say, and I promise to leave your corpse intact," Liu Ruyan said indifferently.

Chen Yang shook his head. "Miss Liu, you overestimate yourself and underestimate others."

"Heh!"

The Martial Association disciple who had hit someone earlier immediately jumped forward and sneered, "You piece of trash! Our young mistress shows you a little courtesy, and you really think you're somebody?"

"It's only because you're a Sixth Grade Military General that you're being given the chance to hang that plaque. Otherwise, how could such a supreme honor ever fall to you?"

Finally, the disciple scolded him again. "What are you still sitting there for? Get up and get the hell out there to hang the plaque!"

The other Martial Association disciples wore looks of mocking amusement. Did this man really think he could put on airs in front of the Martial Association? Such presumption was simply laughable.

Chen Yang slowly set down his teacup and gently waved his right hand.

BANG!

The disciple looked as if he had been struck by a heavy hammer. His body bent backward like a large shrimp, and his feet left the ground as he was violently thrown backward. With a loud crash, the window shattered, and he plummeted straight down.

SPLAT.

The onlookers, who had been buzzing with conversation, were startled by this sudden turn of events, and the crowd fell into a brief silence.

"Isn't that a member of the Martial Association?"

"Yes, that's right! That guy was the most arrogant one earlier. He was hitting people at the entrance."

"What's going on? Have they started fighting upstairs?"

"..."

After the brief silence, an even more intense wave of discussion erupted, filled with countless exclamations and astonishment. Even if a fight had started upstairs, shouldn't it be someone from the Feiyang Martial Arts School who came falling down?

Suddenly, their curiosity was intensely piqued, and they wished they could rush up to the second floor to see for themselves.

The Feiyang Martial Arts School disciple who had been beaten earlier was the first to approach the fallen man. Not caring whether he was alive or dead, he grabbed him by the hair and slapped him across the face again and again.

SMACK! SMACK!

He only stopped when his arm was too tired to continue. "Weren't you acting tough just now? So why are you lying here like a dead dog? Go on, try being so arrogant for me now!"

After delivering one last fierce kick, the disciple walked away.

「On the second floor.」

Chen Yang's casual wave had truly shocked many from the Martial Association. Their eyes were wide with astonishment as they stared warily at Chen Yang.

Liu Ruyan's eyebrows shot up.

Even in this situation, this fellow dared to make the first move?

"Mr. Chen, it seems you've chosen punishment over a toast," Liu Ruyan said as she brushed the hair from her forehead. Her voice had grown colder, laced with obvious impatience. She had truly never met anyone who disregarded her so completely.

Chen Yang picked up the teapot, took a new cup from the tea service, and poured a fresh cup. He pushed it forward slightly and then smiled. "Miss Liu, please have some tea."

Liu Ruyan: "..."

Have I ever encountered such audacity in my entire life?

The air of calm about him was also deeply unsettling. This man seemed extraordinarily different. In her twenty-some years, she had never met anyone like him. His confidence and self-assurance were almost tangible.

After a brief, stunned silence, Liu Ruyan said softly, "You're quite a different kind of Sixth Grade Military General."

"Miss, why waste your breath on delusional trash like him? Just kill him and be done with it!" Wu Lan spoke up. She had disliked Chen Yang from the start, and the confidence he exuded irked her to no end.

As she spoke, she launched her attack.

Liu Ruyan said nothing, which was a clear sign of her tacit approval.

WHOOSH!

Wu Lan took a step forward, raising her Profound Iron Crutch. Swept along by a powerful surge of internal energy, it shot toward Chen Yang's forehead as fast as lightning. The sharp sound of the weapon cutting through the air was piercing. With Wu Lan's strength, that single jab could shatter a slab of granite. Imagine what it would do to a person.

In the span of just two or three breaths, the Profound Iron Crutch was less than half a meter from Chen Yang's forehead.

Chen Yang didn't even look up. He simply raised his right hand and flicked a finger.

BANG!

With a deafening crash, the Profound Iron Crutch shattered into pieces. It crumbled like a brittle wafer under the seemingly light force, turning into a pile of fine dust.

"What?!"

Wu Lan's expression changed drastically. Just as she prepared to retreat, a powerful force struck her in the chest, piercing straight through her and erupting in a spray of blood. But that wasn't all. The inertia of the blow lifted her entire body off the ground, sending her flying backward into the wall.

BOOM!

The wall exploded. Countless bricks, along with her body, rained down to the first floor.

"This..."

The people outside were instantly dumbfounded.

"That... that's another person from the Martial Association? What in the world is happening on the second floor?"

"Miss, be careful!" another Nine-Bag Elder shouted, rushing to stand in front of Liu Ruyan and shield her.

Liu Ruyan, however, stood frozen. Her beautiful eyes churned with an endless storm of terror and horror.

How is this possible?! That was a Twelfth Grade Fist Master, not just some random nobody! How could he kill her with a single flick of his finger?

The members of the Martial Association stood there, petrified, their faces filled with a horror as if they had just seen a ghost.

You don't even slaughter a chicken like that.

Not far away, Li Zhendong's face was flushed with excitement. His fists were clenched tightly as he roared inwardly, Come on, keep it coming! In front of Lord Chen, you're all nothing but trash!

HISS!

Liu Ruyan drew a sharp breath and said in a heavy voice, "It seems you're not just any Sixth Grade Military General. Who exactly are you?"

"Let's put the matter of identity aside for now. Please, sit down. Let's have some tea first," Chen Yang said, his tone casual as he tapped the table with his knuckle.

Liu Ruyan: "..."

All the members of the Martial Association: "..."
