Chapter 399: Steamrolling Along the Way!

BOOM!!

With a single punch from Yang Hu, the massive gold-plated plaque exploded, sending a web of innumerable cracks across the entire wall. As debris flew, the surrounding crowd scattered in panic, their hearts filled with terror and confusion.

Who on earth was this person? It was bad enough to publicly assault the Martial Association's Disciples on their own doorstep, but to tear down their sign? This was beyond audacious; it was suicidal.

With a thunder of footsteps, more than a dozen Martial Association Disciples rushed out from the hall. Seeing the chaotic scene and the two Disciples lying in pools of blood, their eyes blazed with fury. After a quick scan, their piercing gazes locked onto Yang Hu.

"You have the nerve to cause trouble at our Martial Association!"

"You filthy cur, get on your knees and await the Martial Association's judgment!"

Angry shouts erupted, their searing glares burning with murderous intent.

"What a load of nonsense," Yang Hu said, shaking his head. He then gestured dismissively. "Come at me all at once."

"Hmph!"

A middle-aged man led the charge. He stepped forward and said coldly, "What makes you think you're so special? You don't even—"

Before he could finish—

SWISH!

Yang Hu lunged forward, his fist hammering out like a steel mallet.

BANG.

The middle-aged man was struck as if by a car. His chest caved in, and as he coughed up a mouthful of blood, he was sent flying backward, crashing directly into the reception desk. The brick desk shattered on impact, kicking up a thick cloud of dust.

Yang Hu didn't stop. Like a tiger pouncing on a flock of sheep, he moved both hands in wide, powerful arcs. In less than ten seconds, all of the Martial Association Disciples were on the ground, severely injured.

The surrounding crowd was utterly dumbstruck.

Where did this powerhouse come from? Was he here to wreck the Martial Association's premises?

Everyone drew a sharp, cold breath. Someone who dares to wreck the Martial Association's premises... could they possibly have an insignificant background?

"Who goes there?!"

A deep voice, like rolling thunder, echoed from the hall.

A middle-aged man with narrow, sinister, triangle-shaped eyes stormed out, his face a mask of fury. He fixed his gaze on Yang Hu and, without a word, launched an attack.

Suddenly, a silver pistol appeared in Yang Hu's hand, its presence chilling to the bone.

The cold barrel pressed against the middle-aged man's forehead. The menacing aura he had just mustered vanished instantly, and his face turned deathly pale.

It wasn't just him; no one present could have anticipated such a brazen act.

"Kneel," Yang Hu commanded coldly.

The middle-aged man was speechless.

CRACK.

Yang Hu brought the gun down on the man's head, splitting his scalp open. The man staggered back several steps before steadying himself. Not daring to delay another moment, he obediently knelt to one side.

Only then did Chen Yang take a step forward, slowly walking into the hall.

It was clear to everyone that this young man, who had spoken only a single sentence, was the one in charge. The man with the gun was merely his subordinate.

Who in the world was this guy?

The magnificent, opulent hall was now in shambles. The female Disciples responsible for registration had long since been cowering in a corner, hands clasped over their heads, too terrified to move. As Disciples of the Martial Association, they had never experienced anything like this.

Chen Yang and Yang Hu, one after the other, started up the stairs. At the same time, people were coming down. With such a commotion below, it was impossible for those upstairs not to know.

"Who are you?"

A group of Stewards rushed down. The moment they saw Chen Yang and Yang Hu, they knew they had found the troublemakers. The leader shouted his question and immediately attacked, the others following suit.

Chen Yang turned slightly, sweeping his right hand out.

BOOM!!

A fierce gale howled, lifting the men off their feet and hurtling them toward the main entrance.

BANG!

One by one, they slammed viciously onto the ground, frightening away the onlookers who had been about to step inside. They stopped in their tracks, hearts pounding in their chests.

In an instant, no one dared to approach, retreating further and further back.

Chen Yang dusted off his sleeves, clasped his hands behind his back, and slowly ascended to the second floor.

「In a conference room on the second floor.」

The high-ranking members of the Martial Association were discussing Zhang Kun's disappearance.

"If you ask me, Young Master Zhang Kun has already met with disaster. We should report this to the Association President as soon as possible."

The words were immediately met with an objection. "The Association President just lost his beloved Disciple, Miss Ruyan. He is overcome with grief and anger. Reporting Young Master Zhang Kun's death now would just be adding insult to injury, wouldn't it?"

"We can't conceal something like this forever."

"The problem is, we still aren't certain if Young Master Zhang Kun is actually dead."

BANG!

As the discussion grew heated, the conference room door burst open without warning, sending a Disciple flying into the room amidst a shower of splintered wood. The body slammed heavily onto the conference table.

What was happening?!

Everyone whipped their heads around, glaring furiously at the doorway. They had heard the commotion downstairs, but with so many Disciples on guard, they hadn't imagined anyone could cause significant trouble. But now...

Well now, they actually fought their way to the second floor?

"No need for certainty. The Young Master Zhang Kun you were talking about is already dead," Yang Hu said with a grin, a gun in one hand and the other in his pocket.

The room fell silent.

SLAP!

A Nine-Bag Elder of the Martial Association, seated at the head of the table, slammed his palm down. The teacup jumped and overturned as a web of fine cracks spread across the tabletop.

"Who in the devil are you?" the Nine-Bag Elder roared, his face grim. "Daring to cause trouble at our Martial Association? You've got the heart of a bear and the guts of a leopard!"

"My surname is Chen, given name Yang." Chen Yang stepped slowly into the room. "The Miss Ruyan you mentioned," he added calmly, "I killed her."

The Nine-Bag Elder was speechless.

Everyone was speechless.

Chen Yang sat down in an empty chair, his fingers slowly tapping on the table. "You've all heard of me, I'm sure. This is just the first time we've met."

How could they not have heard of him? He was the one who had thrown the Martial Association into such chaos that they were forced to abandon Lingjin City and settle for establishing a branch in Tianque City.

But he was supposed to be in Lingjin City! How... how did he end up in Tianque City?

A deep chill gripped everyone, seeping into their very bones. This man was a god of slaughter!

It was like they had run into a ghost.

"I came to Tianque City for the festival and happened to run into Young Master Zhang Kun looking for trouble. When I heard the Martial Association branch had been established, I thought I'd make a special trip to see it," Chen Yang said with an innocuous expression.

His words made the corners of many mouths twitch uncontrollably.

Does that mean the death of King Kong here in Tianque City was his doing?

This... this really was like seeing a ghost.

Chen Yang leisurely lit a cigarette and blew out a cloud of smoke. "Let's all go downstairs. Announce in front of everyone that the Martial Association's Tianque City branch is disbanded."

"Don't be so arrogant!" the Nine-Bag Elder snarled, his face ashen. "Our Martial Association branch has been established. On what grounds would it be disbanded?"

SNAP.

Chen Yang snapped his fingers.

Between his thumb and middle finger, a faint, purple-gold energy swirled and pulsed, like a tiny, dancing flame spirit.

To the eyes of everyone in the room, however, it was the most terrifying thing in the world.

A Thirteenth-Rank Thousand-Faced Yama!?

The Nine-Bag Elder was speechless.

Everyone was speechless.
