As soon as Grey mentioned his mansion, Evan came forward and spoke.
"Brother Grey, can you arrange for me to go to the White Spring down the east of the southern region?" Evan asked with a serious expression. "All of you have reached 2nd rank, I cannot lag behind anymore. I want to train!"
Evan's eyes were filled with determination to grow stronger, and there was no time to slack anymore. With the High Order's attack, Evan had become even more serious than before.
Hearing this, Grey paused, and he could see where Evan was coming from.
All of his friends and the people who trained with him had become powerful evolvers, and now he was lagging behind.
It was only natural to feel left behind and become more serious about training.
He knew what the White Spring was, and it was a place with a dense amount of cosmic energy. Usually, entry to that place was close to impossible, but with his identity as a champion, Evan could definitely enter it. It was one of the perks of becoming the champion.
Usually, it was the city lord who conducted the championship that brought them there, but with him becoming the city lord now, he had things to do and could only send Evan off alone.
Since that was the case, he turned to Werner.
"Can you arrange him an AV?"
"Yes, Master. I will have it done immediately." Werner nodded and took out his phone and began to dial a number.
Hearing him call Grey his master, Lia could not help but become curious.
"Who is that, Grey?" Lia asked.
She had noticed him before and knew that he was an extremely powerful evolver at the late stage of 2nd rank, but because of Little Hong, she never came around to asking who he was till now.
"He's my disciple in formation." Grey explained. "His name is Werner Brown."
"What? Werner?" Lia's expression changed drastically. "You said he is your disciple in formation?"
"Yeah?" Grey rolled his eyes. "What is up with people asking things twice."
However, Lia was not in the mood to joke, and she stared at Grey with wide eyes.
She most definitely knew who Werner Brown was, and he was the old friend of the Overseer.
He was someone with the same talent as the four star formation master, the Great Polarity Master.
And this guy was Grey's disciple in formation.
She was tongue tied.
She started doubting who the true god here was, her or Grey.
How was this even possible?
She simply could not comprehend it.
She then turned to Werner and directly asked him about the Overseer.
"Mr. Werner, do you know the Overseer of the Southern Region, Gu Qianchen?"
To this, Grey raised an eyebrow, and Werner on the other hand had a thoughtful look on his face.
"It's been a while since I heard that name." He replied. "But yes, I do indeed know him. He was my good friend back in the day."
Grey, hearing this, did not say much, as he already knew about Werner's relation with the Overseer.
And he planned on leveraging it as well.
"It's true..." Lia shook her head.
Did that not mean Grey was directly more talented than Werner to the point he became his master?
Then, Werner spoke again. "Master, the AV will be here shortly."
Grey nodded. "Alright."
He turned to Evan, who was also looking at him with an incredulous expression after hearing this conversation, and spoke.
"The AV will be here soon. Good luck in training."
"Y Yes... Thanks, Brother Grey." Evan said with twitching lips.
"Then, let's go back to the mansion." Grey said with a nod.
Lia and Werner nodded.
"Farewell, Lia." Evan said his goodbyes.
"Yes." Lia nodded. "Good luck with training. I'm sure the senior will help you out."
With them becoming a team, they had naturally become allies and someone that could be considered a friend. It was only natural to say farewell.
Soon, as soon as Lia, Werner, and Grey flew into the air, an AV also descended down into the city lord mansion. Evan boarded it, and the AV soon disappeared.
Seeing this, they all flew back to Ashspire City.
Buzz!
As soon as they reached Ashspire City, Grey saw a streak of light coming towards him.
Seeing this, everyone stopped.
And soon, the streak of light appeared directly in front of him.
Grey already knew who it was, and with a smile, he spoke. "Congratulations, Miss Valeria, you're now officially a late stage 2nd ranker."
"Brother Grey~ You left without me. I missed all the fun." Valeria, who had descended, said in a saddened tone. "I thought we were a team!"
Hearing this, Grey chuckled dryly. "If we had waited for you, then the entire Three Guards Province would've been turned upside down now."
Valeria pouted at this.
Then, a serious expression appeared on her face.
"Still, to think you would actually do something like this." Valeria shook her head in amazement. "You truly are something else. I never expected this. Really."
"You unified four cities under your name in an hour." She added. "I expected nothing less from you though."
"Now that you are the city lord of the four cities, what are your plans?"
"My plans?" Grey had a thoughtful expression on his face. "First, we need to cut off useless trees that have been growing under the four cities."
"Especially Ashspire City." Grey added.
"I already know what to do." Grey said with a calm smile. "You don't need to worry."
Valeria nodded. "If you need anything, just come to the Azrael Corporation."
She paused and then spoke. "Starting now, Azrael Corporation will be working under you. You are now the half CEO!"
"Huh?" Grey was surprised hearing this. "And why is that?"
He knew Valeria. She was a very proud woman, and she would not just work under anyone.
"Why not?" Valeria replied with a smile. "It will only do me more good if I work under you. That way, I can expand the corporation to the other cities as well."
Valeria was an extremely smart woman, she knew that Grey wasn't just going to stop with just four cities, hence her decision.
"You could've done it even without my help." Grey said with a wry smile.
He knew Valeria's capabilities. If she could build an empire here in Ashspire City where competition was fierce, then it would be far easier in other cities.
"It's already been finalized. You are now the half CEO of the company." Valeria said with a bright expression. "You can't reject or Big Sis will be sad!"
Grey simply spread his arms. "Fine, do as you wish. But don't expect me to do all the corporation work."
"Of course." Valeria said with an overjoyed expression.
"Then, I will be taking my leave now. I still have to check up on my subordinates."
Grey simply nodded. "Alright, when you're done, come find me."
"Yes." Valeria said, and then waving her hands, she became a streak of light and disappeared.
