"Bravo." Aristophanes smiled. "Courage is the anthem of humanity."
"Being willing to express your thoughts through poetry and convey them to others is very meaningful."
Applause arose wave after wave, and Tang Xin, standing in the middle, slightly lowered her eyelids. Perhaps it was the aspirations of youth, or maybe she was inspired by the initial practitioners, that she unconsciously stood out just now.
For these initial artists, these laudatory verses were still too immature.
Fandony smiled as she placed her hands on Tang Xin's shoulders, pushing the young girl away from the crowd: "Little Sevia, when you said you wanted to leave school to pursue your dreams, I was really surprised."
"Because your comprehensive evaluation in opera and poetry has always been quite good, it's just... your emotional expression was misguided. I actually had high hopes for you. Do you remember the choir poetry session, where I recommended you as a reciter to the Starry Gallery."
Tang Xin pursed her lips: "I'm sorry, Ms. Fandony, I failed your kindness."
"No, I understand your temperament, I should have considered your feelings. I just..."
"I couldn't bear to see you exile yourself, immersed in nothingness. As your teacher, I know how dazzling your brilliance is, only covered by dust. You should have shown your light much earlier."
"Perhaps it was precisely that miss that led me down a completely different life path." Tang Xin held her heart, her eyes glimmering, "I met the most important person in my life on another path."
"She changed me, taught me many things, and pulled me back from the boundaries of the world."
Fandony was a bit surprised: "What do you mean?"
"I think, for me, she is as important as the vast wilderness is for a bird longing to fly. My heart found its sky in her eyes."
"I like her." Tang Xin said softly.
"But I am not sure if this liking is truly love, or rather, a friendship so profound and flamboyant that it can't be more."
"It's too hazy, like a seedling yet to sprout, but so fervent that even through the seed, my heart beats wildly for it."
Fandony nodded.
Tang Xin's gaze was serene. No one but her knew that her time might be running short. In her final days, she no longer hoped to reunite with the one who held her heart.
What she had done so far was far from enough.
She must do more.
In the shadows, a figure silently watched all this, watching as those great artists gathered to discuss deep philosophical issues. Gao Wen shrugged and walked over to Tang Xin, who stood alone outside the crowd:
"Yo, Sevia."
The latter looked at him warily, but managed a polite smile: "Senior Gao Wen."
The badge on the young man's chest helped Tang Xin recognize him, Gao Wen, the vice president of the student council. After Lancelot's disappearance, perhaps he was now the president.
"Don't trust these hypocritical fellows too much." Gao Wen glanced at the great artists,
"In my view, they're no different from Belvedere, long deviated from the original path."
Gao Wen pointed his finger at his own forehead: "In other words, I feel there's something wrong with their minds."
Tang Xin didn't want to engage with any unstable elements, turned to leave, but a leisurely voice from behind reached her:
"Think carefully, Sevia junior, why did they choose you?"
"Lancelot disappeared, no, the brave and righteous golden-haired lion has long been smashed to death by the Meteor Hammer. His corpse isn't even cold, yet these hypocritical guys rushed to fill the family void, they need the family's Power, need to grasp the family's internal information."
"Why didn't they choose Lei Wenji of the Withered Flower family, but chose you? Because the Siren Miracle erupted, like Pandora's box. The Withered Flower family thriving on this miracle will soon wither like its name."
"Your nominal father Yain Lindong is a board member of the Starry Gallery, representing the Lindong family's seat. In the Star of Art, his Power is greater than you imagine. Apart from that old undying Belvedere, few can constrain him. They only saw this aspect before letting you join the Tree of Eternal Life."
"They just want to manipulate you to do some moth-to-the-flame tasks."
"Lancelot, that fool trusted his teachers too much, no one could sway him, and to others, it looked like he jumped into the fire pit himself."
Gao Wen spoke confidently, seemingly certain of the girl before him, but who knew that Tang Xin merely turned, smiling: "Your collar button is out of place, Senior Gao Wen."
Gao Wen's face stiffened, hastily fixing his collar, only to find each button neatly fastened. He frowned and looked again at the girl ahead, clearly reading a hint of cunning behind her polite smile.
"Do you believe whatever I say, Senior Gao Wen?"
Gao Wen was rendered speechless.
"I'm not like you."
Tang Xin turned and left, leaving only Gao Wen to stand there with his thoughts scattered, soon unable to suppress a hearty laugh.
"Interesting, hahaha, really interesting."
"This person is much more dangerous than Lancelot, those old folks better not be fooled by her harmless exterior."
"Trying to control this lunatic, hahaha, I really look forward to seeing them face-plant."
"Lancelot..." Gao Wen swirled his wine glass.
"Do you see, the one who replaced you is much smarter."
...
The scene shifts to a dark small room, shrouded in cold, ghostly blue mist, resembling a freezer.
Several tied up figures sat in a circle around a table, wearing nothing but their underwear, shivering from the cold.
Footsteps echoed in the darkness, their hoods were removed, and one recognized the surroundings, unable to hold back a terrified scream: "Do you know who I am, daring to bring me to such a place!"
"Where is this, where is this? I warn you, I'm a senior executive at Rongsen Media, dare to kidnap me, I have a tracker, someone will come for me soon!"
"So cold... so cold..."
A blonde figure emerged from the darkness, Xu Xiaoyou in a strapless ceremonial suit, like a hostess welcoming guests to her domain, placed three frost-covered wine glasses in front of the men one by one.
"Good afternoon, gentlemen."
"You are..."
Once the three saw Xu Xiaoyou clearly, their hearts skipped a beat, as though seeing a ghost. Their earlier arrogance disappeared, and they looked down uneasily.
"Ms. Xu... didn't you die already...?" one of the men stuttered.
"So standing before you is a ghost crawling out of Hell?" Xu Xiaoyou smiled.
"Turns out you know you've done deeds of guilt, fearing a ghost's knock on the door, huh?"
Xu Xiaoyou snapped her fingers, thick piles of contracts appeared on the table. She placed her hands on the shoulders of two company executives, her figure slowly leaning down.
"Then let's properly detail the deeds of guilt you've secretly done while I was away."
