With a swift elbow, Wu Chang shattered the helmet man's headgear, landing a fierce blow on his eye.

The helmet man bent backward from the impact, trying to keep his balance, but he felt himself losing footing and landed on his backside.

The damage was minimal, but the insult was significant.

After being struck, the helmet man exploded in rage.

"Kid! You're asking for death!"

Wu Chang knew he wasn't a match for the helmet man, so he didn't engage further. Seizing the moment, he pulled He Yun and made a dash while the helmet man was overwhelmed by negative effects.

"Run quickly!"

As they fled, the elderly guard at the power plant had already descended from the watchtower and shouted to them:

"Get out of here quickly. I'll cover for you! Kid, take good care of her for me!"

He Yun glanced at Wu Chang with a complex expression. Facing such an overwhelmingly powerful enemy, she had expected Wu Chang might accept the invitation to join the enemy and turn against her.

To her surprise, Wu Chang chose to risk his life by fighting back and then took her away.

"You shouldn't bother with me; you know we're different, and he can't kill me."

Meanwhile, the helmet man had shaken off some of the abnormal status effects and pursued them.

The helmet man was already enraged and saw the foolish guard blocking his path, deciding to vent his anger on him.

"Great virtue bears weight!"

In a flash, he was before the old guard, throwing a punch that shattered the guard's rifle, pierced the guard's mecha, and plunged directly into his chest.

With a cold snort, he crushed the guard's heart effortlessly.

According to the rules of the Underground Shelter, the dead guard should become a corpse and revive after some time.

But the guard killed by the helmet man unexpectedly dissolved into mist and vanished completely.

Wu Chang questioned in confusion, "Has he returned to the group resurrection point?"

Turning his head, he saw tears glistening in He Yun's eyes, a woman usually devoid of emotions.

With hate, He Yun said, "He's dead."

Wu Chang was puzzled, "Aren't the locals in the Underground Shelter unable to die?"

He Yun replied, "I don't know. Maybe he mastered a way to kill us completely."

Watching the helmet man closing in, Wu Chang asked, "What should we do now?"

If He Yun had no solution, he thought using long-distance teleportation would be his only option.

Thankfully, he foresaw this situation, leaving a teleportation array at He Yun's house earlier this morning.

Suddenly, He Yun halted her run, retracted her mecha, and yelled, "There's no time left. There's only one solution left, kill me!"

"What?"

Wu Chang was bewildered. Killing her would result in her immediate revival, so what's the point?

Is the plan to kill her three times in a row and escape while she revives?

He Yun shouted, "No time to explain, quickly! Kill me!"

Observing the helmet man approaching within a hundred meters, Wu Chang decided to trust her once. If she wasn't reliable, he could still teleport away with her corpse.

"Whatever, you asked for it!"

With that, Wu Chang drew the Dawn Hammer and blew He Yun's head off with a shot.

Bang!

Along with the explosive gunshot, the world around him began to distort, blurring before his eyes.

Accompanied by dizziness, his vision went black, and when it cleared, he realized he had left the power plant's vicinity, returning to the city.

Before he could react to what happened, a familiar voice sounded nearby.

"Come, Xiao Liang, let's deal with this outsider!"

"Damn! Let's go! Ignore it!"
