My Cyber Psychosis is Task Prompt

Chapter 135: Stealth Operation and Recuperation (Part 2)

The gang leader didn't have time to fire before his wrist was pierced by a knife.

Ah——

The scream was mixed with a roar of anger.

John's surprise attack succeeded, smoothly disarming the shotgun, twisting the opponent's arm trying to lock his throat, but he hadn't expected his move to be countered.

The gang leader's neck was ridiculously thick, like it was embedded with steel pipes, and the skin felt not a pulse but the vibrations of a prosthetic body.

John hadn't had time to react.

His arm was grasped in reverse, and his vision began to spin.

John was directly thrown over the shoulder by this fat man onto the floor and instinctively dodged to the side.

A pair of metal fists followed closely, smashing a pit in the ground.

The leader cursed as he got up, a row of exhaust vents on his punching arm exhaling outward.

John picked up the fallen shotgun, turned and swung fiercely, smashing it directly onto the fat man's forehead, taking advantage of his dizziness, immediately moving in to fiercely strike towards his crotch.

The metal butt was hard, producing a nerve-wracking sound.

The gang leader curled up immediately.

John used the kinetic shotgun as a melee weapon, his continuous fierce attacks left the fat man dizzy and disoriented, he lifted his foot and kicked him into the nearby sewage pool.

The burly man fell in, splashing water.

John immediately shoved the shotgun's barrel in and pulled the trigger.

Bang——

The struggling ceased.

The water column exploded high.

The pool became viscous, dark matter slowly spreading to the surroundings, while the body floated up, head heavy, feet light.

"Phew~ F*ck."

John grabbed a towel to wipe his hands.

Deep in the office was a storage room, the electronic door couldn't stop Black Light, John strolled in like he was at home, looking around, he saw the cash and sealed storage boxes inside.

The office mainframe had incoming and outgoing information.

The White Motorcycle Gang was chosen by the Nocturne Bar as the executors, even the early management within the gang were corporate soldiers, with no source labeled on the funding account, nor was it clear which company it corresponded to.

John left with the materials.

He went downstairs and saw the innocent employees still gathered there.

The gang members recruited and deceived a bunch of people, those left working here, like Edward, faced wage arrears and violent coercion as standard practices.

The employees were waiting to loot the office.

John quickly left the scene.

Edward got busy as soon as he received the materials.

"Find something to do, I'll message you once the item is ready, it'll be just in the next couple of days."

[Mission Objective Updated]

[Waiting for Edward's news. (Not achieved)]

John left the low-rent apartment, and when he passed through the Nocturne Bar again, the sky had darkened.

The garment factory issue began fermenting.

The White Motorcycle Gang drove furiously searching the streets for any suspicious enemies.

John wasn't afraid of these gang thugs.

The Nocturne Bar was the actual controller of the East District streets.

On the surface, it seemed merely like a gaudy place, yet it was backed by a municipal councilor, maintaining ambiguous relationships with several companies. The information it held was enough to make people apprehensive, though it never showed its full hand.

The White Motorcycle Gang was overly ostentatious in their actions.

Even tough nuts like farmers were their enemies, and the clearing of the garment factory was no surprise. Anyone could have done this, and if they were to check based on a revenge list, John would be at the very end.

The Nocturne Bar was not disturbed.

The destruction of the garment factory was just a minor issue, as long as no deeper provocations or signals of expanded gang warfare were behind it.

John figured they wouldn't find much.

The on-site surveillance footage was thoroughly erased by Black Light.

Even if they figured it out eventually, it wouldn't matter...

The core data in the office was intact, the separation chip and email content were of little consequence, and the missing equipment materials and cash were of no concern to the management.

John revved up the engine loudly as he passed the bar entrance.

Nothing happened.

He finally enjoyed a few days of leisure after a busy period.

Staying at home, maintaining exercise, relying on takeout for food and clothing, he spent most of the time in his workshop.

John was attempting to craft special effects bullets.

The task difficulties were increasing, and the most obvious feeling was that the enemies were particularly tough—aside from Sianweistan, there was also subcutaneous armor and custom bulletproof vests to deal with.

Headshots were not guaranteed to instantly kill the target, and regular armor-piercing bullets were becoming unreliable.

The recipe was bought from the Cabinet.

John initially planned to directly upgrade the assembly line to automatically produce various special effects bullets, but his account balance forced the project to be shelved.

He could only first attempt to handcraft incendiary ammunition, and after nearly causing two fires, realized his poor manual skills.

On the third day of the holiday.

The Cabinet called.

The heavy transporter John ordered had passed through the checkpoint and was successfully delivered to the dedicated underground garage below Dan Street.

Apartment 013 was an improved-type building.

The privacy-focused tenants resulted in low openness, with no balconies or rooftop helipads, making receiving deliveries a troublesome task.

After deliberation, John discreetly sneaked to the equipment center.

He used Black Light to burn through the tenant system of the entire apartment, essentially owning the highest authorization of a front desk steward, allowing access to every tenant's information and room status.

Parcel sending and receiving were included too.

This way, drone transportation of materials back and forth wouldn't be discovered.
