"I don't know," Lawson said nonchalantly.
"Tests have shown it's more flexible and extensible than Extreme Gold. I assume there's no need for me to elaborate on what that implies?" Aaron's voice drifted into Lawson's ears.
Though the voice wasn't loud, to Lawson, it was like a thunderbolt exploding.
"You're not joking?" Lawson looked up at Aaron, his face etched with unshakeable shock.
Extreme Gold is the most suitable material for Energy Furnaces in the Wizard Plane, but its flexibility leaves much to be desired, preventing the sustained operation of the Fourth Ring Energy Furnace.
Over the years, the two of them have been dedicated to solving this problem, hoping to change the requirements for material flexibility through a new Energy Loop.
But now, Aaron seemed to have found a new path.
"I wouldn't joke about something like this."
Seeing the shock on Lawson's face, Aaron smiled with satisfaction and said slowly, "I think we should change our research direction and quickly construct an Energy Loop that matches Dark Gold. What do you think?"
"Of course!" Lawson agreed to Aaron's proposal without hesitation.
Compared to working on the repeatedly modified Extreme Gold Energy Loop, constructing a new Energy Loop for Dark Gold was obviously much simpler.
After all, they already had successful experiences from before, and now they just needed to make some minor adjustments.
If nothing unexpected happens, results should show in about five years.

Wizard Calendar Year 1411, July 8th.
Good news came from the Energy Research Institute of Francis City; significant progress was made in the stability duration of the Fourth Ring Energy Furnace thanks to the efforts of Honorary Legislator Aaron and Honorary Legislator Lawson.
The current Fourth Stage Energy Furnace can now sustain operations for a day.
Furthermore, driving this experimental progress, Honorary Legislator Lawson and Honorary Legislator Aaron stated that this is just the beginning. If nothing goes wrong, they might develop a truly stable Fourth Stage Energy Furnace in the near future.
By then, the Fourth Stage War Fortress project might enter the research list of the Magic Artifact Research Institute.

Wizard Calendar Year 1433, August 7th.
Betula Continent, Ninety-first floor of the Lor Wizard Tower, in a study.
"I've reached my limit for short-term improvements; delaying further is meaningless. It's time to attempt a breakthrough," Agular closed the Continent Communication Device and stood up, heading towards the Cultivation Room next door.
He only had thirty-eight years of life left. If he didn't construct the Origin Container, and his life span was below average, he might not even have time to take the Breakthrough Elixir before dying.
The life span of a Third Ring Wizard is said to be two thousand years, but it actually varies up and down.
Some wizards can live an extra 30 years, while others only live 1,970 years.
Two thousand years is just an average value.
Entering the Cultivation Room, Agular activated the accompanying Space Defense Shield to prevent any interruptions, then walked over to a large bed cast from Magic Crystal and sat down, his Spiritual Power sinking into his Sea of Consciousness, officially beginning to construct the Origin Container.
One month...
Three months...
Half a year passed unknowingly. Agular, who had originally been sitting with eyes closed and steady breathing, suddenly opened his eyes and spat blood, his face ashen.
"Indeed, my improvements were imperfect; in the end, failure," Agular sighed, pulling out the Breakthrough Elixir from his Space Ring and pouring it into his mouth with trembling hands.
"Boom - Ka -"
In that instant, a startling energy surged from his body.
The previously scattered Origin Container fragments in Agular's Sea of Consciousness seemed to find a core and began to regroup.
However, the newly formed Origin Container was far from the near-flawless state it had been. To call it haphazard would be generous, it was full of errors and omissions.
"This kind of Origin Container..." Agular's face was filled with bitterness, "No wonder Lor said that once you take the Breakthrough Elixir, there's no further hope for breakthrough, and you'll only have ten thousand years of life."
The Breakthrough Elixir's effect was to forcibly glue the Origin Container together and then use its inherent power to help it transform, solidifying it.
During this process, Agular couldn't intervene, only watch as his chaotic Origin Container underwent a peculiar transformation.
Three days later.
When the last bit of energy from the Breakthrough Elixir merged into Agular's Origin Container, the Origin Container was fully solidified, marking the birth of a new Fourth Ring Wizard.
"No matter what, I've finally broken through to the Fourth Ring," Agular tugged at the corner of his mouth, forcing a smile.
Compared to ordinary Third Ring Wizards, he was indeed quite fortunate.
To ask for more would be too greedy.

Wizard Calendar Year 1435, November 5th.
Francis City, Energy Research Institute, in a large laboratory.
"Whether it succeeds depends on this," Aaron's eyes were fixed on the Fourth Stage Energy Furnace stabilizing the charging Magic Array for the Fourth Ring, hands clenched, looking quite tense.
Having already earned an Honorary Legislator position, he theoretically shouldn't be so anxious.
After all, there's no Honorary Speaker position above that, and if he doesn't reach the Fourth Ring, his life's achievements will stop here.
But after announcing the good news with Lawson in 1411, Speaker Francis approached them and revealed a shocking secret.
The truth was, the current Wizard Alliance had a method to help Fourth Ring Wizards break through. As long as their contribution to the Wizard Alliance was significant enough, they would have a chance to enter a queue.
Upon learning this news, the two immediately shed their leisurely attitude and, just as they were once focused on developing the Fourth Stage Energy Furnace, they were now fully committed to stabilizing it.
"We shouldn't fail," Lawson's eyes were also glued to the Energy Furnace in front, offering reassurance, "We've modified all the Energy Loops once over; they now completely match Dark Gold's extensibility. There should be no reason for it to fail."
Back then, they only made initial modifications to a few core Energy Loops, which allowed the Dark Gold Energy Furnace to break the limit and stabilize for a day.
Now that everything's been completely replaced, surely it could last a month, right?
As long as it holds for a month, it would be enough for the Fourth Stage War Fortress to enter the combat stage, preventing it from ceasing operation soon after engagement, which would have allowed the enemy to easily gain control, turning it into a mere display.
One day...
Ten days...
In the blink of an eye, a month quietly slipped by. The Fourth Stage Energy Furnace, still charging the Magic Array for the Fourth Ring, remained as stable as a mountain, without the slightest sign of collapse.
"It's really done!" Aaron was beaming with delight.
"Hahaha, how wonderful." Lawson burst out laughing.
"I wonder if making the Fourth Stage Energy Furnace stable for a month qualifies us for a queue position," Aaron expressed some worry after the excitement.
Speaker Francis didn't specify how much contribution was needed for a spot, and they didn't dare to ask.
Now that they've reached a milestone, he began to feel a bit anxious and preoccupied.
In the short term, this Energy Furnace was already the limit of what he and Lawson could achieve.
If it doesn't work, perhaps they should focus on small Energy Furnaces next?
"Why panic? Isn't the Energy Furnace still stable?" Lawson's eyes still hadn't left the Energy Furnace, "Wait for a year; if it hasn't collapsed by then, surely we'll get a queue slot!"
"True." Aaron took a deep breath, taming the impatience within, and continued to wait.
...
Wizard Calendar Year 1437, January 1st.
"It's still stable now..." Aaron gazed at the Energy Furnace in front, a bold notion suddenly surfacing in his mind.
Could it be that their reckless experimentation genuinely produced a complete Fourth Stage Energy Furnace?
"I think it's time to send a communication request to Speaker Francis," Lawson's smile was uncontrollable, "A complete Fourth Stage Energy Furnace should definitely be enough to earn a queue spot for the Breakthrough Elixir!"
