Wizard Calendar 3808, December 3rd.
Milton Continent, top floor of the Domenico Wizard Tower, in a Magic Artifact Laboratory filled with scrolls of various materials.
Domenico extended his silver-gray right hand, carving complex and incomprehensible runes onto a light blue paper.
These runes appeared silver-gray, containing extremely dense soul power within them.
Twelve minutes later.
Once the light blue paper was covered with the silver-gray runes, Domenico stopped the carving, picked up the scroll, and walked out of the Magic Artifact Laboratory, opening the door to the neighboring lab.
"Roar——"
As soon as the door opened, a thunderous roar was heard.
Domenico looked in the direction of the roar, and saw a creature resembling a bear, about three meters in height, with a purple body flickering with lightning, growling at him from within an iron cage.
"Such vitality." Domenico smiled, walked directly to the purple bear, and placed the Soul Contract at its mouth, saying, "Come on, sign this contract, you should know how to sign it."
This purple bear was called the Fierce Thunder Bear, a fifth-level creature, specially requested from Theo for experimental purposes.
"Roar——" (Evil wizard, don't think I'll submit to you again!)
The Fierce Thunder Bear roared, glaring maliciously at Domenico, its purple fur flickering fiercely with lightning a few times, but unfortunately, nothing came out.
"Quite troublesome, have to go through the process again." Domenico shook his head, his eyes suddenly emitting a silver-gray light that penetrated into the brain of the Fierce Thunder Bear.
"Oww—Roar-ow—clang—"
The Fierce Thunder Bear writhed on the ground in pain, whimpering miserably.
Domenico ignored it and continued to disturb the soul of this Fierce Thunder Bear.
He had left plenty of room already, as long as the Fierce Thunder Bear wanted to submit, it could plead for mercy.
But this Fierce Thunder Bear was somewhat stubborn, always needing a long lesson before it would beg for mercy, which was quite troublesome.
One minute...
"Roar—" (Pain, you should die!)
Ten minutes...
"Roar—" (Die!)
Twenty-seven minutes passed quietly.
"Woo—" (Please, spare me, I'll do whatever you want.)
The Fierce Thunder Bear in the cage wailed tearfully, collapsing on the ground, like a puddle of mud.
Though leaving a soul imprint on that paper each time would destroy most of its soul, almost to the point of collapse from pain, compared to this ongoing purgatory-like torment, a quick death was better than prolonged pain.
"Tsk, wouldn't it have been easier to do this from the start? Making me go through all this trouble." Domenico smacked his lips and once again offered the Soul Contract, saying, "Sign it."
The Fierce Thunder Bear, cowering in fear, released its perception, inscribing the essence of its soul at the end of the contract, preparing for soul destruction.
But this time, after inscribing its soul essence, it unexpectedly found that the runes on the contract didn't enter its soul along with the essence, but stayed neatly on the contract.
"Woo?" (How could this be?)
The Fierce Thunder Bear raised its head, looking blankly at the Soul Contract in Domenico's hand, feeling at a loss.
"Stand up." Joy flashed in Domenico's eyes as he gave the order.
The Fierce Thunder Bear instinctively stood up, watching Domenico with a face full of fear.
Domenico continued to command, "Attack the cage with your talent."
"Woo, woo, woo?!" (Don't you know I can't release it?!)
The Fierce Thunder Bear looked at Domenico incredulously, doubting if this evil wizard had gone mad.
Otherwise, why would he ask it to release its talent attack?
But the next moment, it suddenly felt a sharp pain from deep within its soul, followed by a rapid collapse of its soul.
In the blink of an eye, the life in its eyes vanished completely, leaving only a shell standing in the cage, like a statue.
"Of course I know."
Domenico looked at the Fierce Thunder Bear's corpse, took a blood-colored scroll from his space ring, and recited, "The Fierce Thunder Bear of the Thunder Spirit Plane rebelled, resulting in the deaths of seventy-eight Fourth Ring Wizards, two hundred thirty-nine Third Ring Wizards, eight hundred seventy-two Second Ring Wizards, eight thousand seven hundred Wizard Apprentices, and one hundred seventy-five thousand eight hundred thirty-six mortals from the Wizard Alliance, sentenced to death."
"This sentence was supposed to be executed by Speaker Teo of the Wizard Alliance, but it was handed over to Speaker Domenico for deferred execution due to Speaker Domenico's lack of fifth-level experimental materials."
At this point, Domenico took out a pen from the space ring, writing while saying, "Wizard Calendar 3808, December 3rd, Speaker Domenico's experiment concluded, Fierce Thunder Bear's soul completely destroyed, death sentence executed."
Filling in the final stroke, Domenico put the blood-colored scroll back into the space ring, looking at the Fierce Thunder Bear with some regret, "If you hadn't slaughtered those little ones, I would have been reluctant to kill you."
"It's unfortunate you killed them, so your life must pay the price."
If the Fierce Thunder Bear had killed those taking training missions, the Wizard Alliance wouldn't have cared.
But the Thunder Spirit Plane had long been designated as a safe zone by the Wizard Alliance, not part of the training plane category.
Under such circumstances, acting recklessly meant the Wizard Alliance had no choice but to execute.
