The Second World, on an empty small platform.
"Open the 'Arena'." Lor fixed his gaze on the empty space in front of him and made the request.
A green light screen appeared in front of him, reflecting four lines of complex text.
[Detected a Tier Five life form 'Space-Time' requesting entry into the Arena.
It is detected that it is Space-Time's first entry into the Arena, the entry fee will be waived for this time.
Based on your Life Tier, you will only be able to enter the Intermediate Arena for dueling, but can watch the Beginner and Advanced Arena battles.
Please confirm: Yes/No]
"First entry waived from Illusion Dream Value, does that mean I'll have to pay next time?" Lor raised an eyebrow, paused for a moment at the second line of text, then focused his Spiritual Power on the 'Yes' option in the last line.
If I can earn more, then paying a fee is fine.
As soon as Lor made the choice, the space around him underwent an earth-shaking change.
The empty small platform vanished, replaced by a boundless dark void enveloped by an emerald green light shield.
At the same time, the text on the light screen before him began changing on its own.
[Arena Rules:
1: Entering the Beginner Arena requires a payment of 100 Illusion Dream Value each time, Intermediate 10,000 Illusion Dream Value, Advanced 1,000,000 Illusion Dream Value.
2: Winning in the Arena for the first time grants a reward equivalent to the Illusion Dream Value paid, the second win grants double, the third triple, the fourth quadruple, and so forth.
3: Watching Beginner Arena matches requires 1 Illusion Dream Value, Intermediate 100 Illusion Dream Value, Advanced 10,000 Illusion Dream Value.
4: The Illusion Dream Value paid by spectators will be split, with one-tenth going to the victor of the match and nine-tenths to the Second World.
5: The Intermediate Arena can accommodate Tier Four to Tier Six life forms for battle. The first match is randomly matched with those of the same tier; from the second match on, it will not be restricted to the same tier.
6: If death is not determined within an hour, if not of the same tier, the lower-tier life form is judged victorious, if of the same tier, the one consuming less vital energy wins.
7: Gladiators achieving ten consecutive wins in the Intermediate Arena will match with equally accomplished opponents, and are forced to initiate a Star-level Challenge.
(Note 1: The first three-star challenges offer no rewards. If failed, the Arena challenge is terminated, and cannot be reopened for a millennium.)
(Note 2: Starting from the four-star challenge, each victory doubles the ten consecutive win Illusion Dream Value reward. For example, winning a four-star challenge in the Intermediate Arena grants 200,000 Illusion Dream Value, five-star 400,000, six-star 800,000, and so on.)
(Note 3: Please be cautious in initiating four-star and above challenges, as failure will deduct 50% of the Illusion Dream Value reward to be given to the challenger, and terminate the challenge, which cannot be reopened for two millennia.)
(Note 4: The highest star-level challenge is nine stars. Nine stars can open a Super Limit Battle, allowing a Tier Six to battle a Tier Seven; winning grants a reward of ten Law Value. Win or lose, a Super Limit Battle cannot be reopened for five millennia.)
(Hint: The use of Power of Origin and Primordial Law Origin is prohibited in the duel, and death in the duel has no impact on reality.)
Tier Five life form 'Space-Time', would you like to start matching your first opponent?
Yes/No]
"The prohibition of Power of Origin means my Destruction Traits are useless."
Lor's gaze lingered briefly on the third-to-last line of hints, then glanced at Note 2 and Rule 4, "Based on this calculation, if relying solely on consecutive win rewards, I'd have to at least reach Seven Stars to earn enough Illusion Dream Value to exchange for a Second World entry voucher."
"Unless there are enough spectators watching my match, I could get a million Illusion Dream Value sooner."
Conservatively estimated, there are unlikely to be those reaching the Tier Seven threshold in the three-star challenge, as only a Nine-Star expert can start a Tier Seven battle and have the strength to win head-on.
Reasoning backward, an Eight-Star expert can cope with a Tier Seven life form and remain unbeaten for a while.
A Seven-Star expert would reach the Tier Seven threshold, slightly stronger than when Silver Wolf uses its trump card.
He couldn't handle Silver Wolf, let alone Seven-Star experts.
As for those beneath the Tier Seven threshold, he could at least remain unbeaten... unless encountering a Soul Faction expert.
However, Soul Faction experts are typically invincible at the same tier, unlikely to be encountered without reaching Nine Stars.
In terms of attack, his Great Dissolving Technique only has a mere 6.3 ring power, struggling against stronger Tier Six head-on.
But due to Rule 6, he could win by stalling against those not reaching the Tier Seven threshold.
"Seven Stars, Tier Seven threshold, likely eight or nine out of ten."
Lor pondered in his mind: "This time, I'm likely to stop at Six Stars, and an 800,000 Illusion Dream Value reward is insufficient; to earn a million Illusion Dream Value at once, I need to attract 200,000 spectators."
"I wonder what kind of duels Arena spectators like. Flashy ones or straightforward ones?"
"Forget it, straightforward it is; I can't do flashy, at worst I can finish and check other games to see if there's a way to earn more Illusion Dream Value."
He hesitated briefly in his mind, ultimately giving up the intention of deliberately attracting Arena spectators.
He exhaled gently and focused his Spiritual Power on the 'Yes' at the bottom of the long list of rules.
[Matching for the first match is underway...
