It was a simple power, and without any restrictions, it would have been the strongest ability in the world! But there were restrictions that Harold had learned about over the years. The first restriction was that Harold could not convince someone of something they weren't already considering. If you were standing on the edge of a building and Harold asked you to jump off, there's a small part of your mind that would actually think about doing it, but the larger part of you would say no. Harold's power allowed him to take over that small part and amplify it so that it would force you to jump! But if Harold commanded a parent to kill their child, the mere thought of it would be so foreign and inconsiderable that the compulsion wouldn't work at all! So there had to be a consideration before Harold could coerce you.

The second restriction was that Harold could only use his powers on one person at a time. His powers could work on anyone without the proper mental defences, but he could only do it to one person at a time, and he would have to make sure he had completely convinced the person before he could activate his power! Harold was certain that he had used his power perfectly! By mentioning the difficult state of the Lucas Corp's finances, Harold had placed some doubt in Dante's mind, and by offering to buy off the debt, Harold had placed the consideration in there! Even though the deal was completely one-sided and the amount Harold was planning to pay was nowhere near enough, it didn't matter since Harold was sure his powers would work! But none of them could have possibly predicted the next thing Dante did! There was a quiet moment in the room when no one moved, and it almost looked like Dante was considering what Harold had said, but at the next moment, Dante moved!

Slam!

A punch slammed into Harold's face, and Harold was thrown out of his chair! Harold slammed into the ground and gasped in shock as he felt all his breath leave him! What the hell just happened!? Didn't Dante fall under his control!? Harold was shocked by Dante's action, and he felt his eyes widen when Dante suddenly reached behind him to grab a gun! Harold immediately screamed!

"Shoot him!"

This time, Harold changed targets to another person in the room! Harold knew that Risa was unshakably loyal to Dante, so the thought of killing Dante had never even come into Risa's mind! But that wasn't the case for Fredrick! Even if Dante had convinced Fredrick to join him, there was still a part of Fredrick that hated Dante, only a few seconds ago, and it was easy for Harold to latch onto that part and use it to control Fredrick's actions! Fredrick immediately reached into his suit and pulled out a gun, but before he could point it at Dante, a hand grabbed his arm and pulled him forward! Risa slammed the heel of her palm into Fredrick's stomach, and he gasped as he felt all the air leave his lungs! Risa planted her feet into the ground and, with a single heave, Fredrick was suddenly flipped through the air!

Slam!

Harold's eyes were wide in shock as he watched Fredrick lie on the ground in pain with Risa pointing a gun at his head, and he turned back to Dante sharply when Dante's gun entered his view. Dante's face was completely emotionless as he pointed the barrel at Harold, and Harold slowly raised his hands and swallowed nervously! Even though Harold was a Djinn and he was well-versed in using magic, that doesn't mean he was invulnerable! A single shot to the head would still be enough to kill him! Harold tried to calm things down as he spoke quickly!

"H-Hold on! Hold on! I didn't do anything wrong, what the hell is this!?"

Dante's eyes narrowed once Harold said this, and in the next moment, Dante slammed the butt of his gun into the side of Harold's head! Harold screamed in pain as he felt a massive headache tear through his head and he held his pounding skull! Dante didn't even give a damn about the pain Harold was going through, and he kicked him back so he was lying on the ground before pointing the gun at his head again! Harold brought his hand down to see that he was bleeding, and he looked up at Dante in fear! Dante's face showed absolutely no emotion, and Harold realized at that moment that he was dealing with a man who was capable of great violence without being affected by it at all! This man was a fucking demon!

Dante felt a surge of irritation rising from deep in his heart as he looked at Harold, and if not for the fact that Harold was still useful, Dante would have already pulled the trigger and killed this bastard. The reason for this was simple. Harold had just tried to use his Djinn ability against Dante. Dante's eyes trailed to the side to read through the system notification that had popped up there!

Fredrick's voice came from behind Dante, and Dante looked back to see that Fredrick was trying to get himself out of Risa's deadly grip! Risa had Fredrick's hands twisted behind his back, and she had her knee on Fredrick's back with a gun pressed into the back of his head! There was a dangerous look on Risa's face, and Dante knew that one wrong move from Fredrick would be the end of him! But Dante was sure that Fredrick was not at fault for what happened. Fredrick had tried to shoot Dante, but that had only been because of Harold's power. The confusion on Fredrick's face wasn't something that anyone could fake! Dante didn't tell Risa to let Fredrick go just yet, since he didn't know if Harold could take control of Fredrick again. Instead, he walked forward and pressed his gun into Harold's face while speaking calmly.

"So, you're one of them. A Djinn. Did you really think you could use your powers to control my mind, and I would just not notice it? Are you fucking stupid?"
