I Contracted All Ancient Divine Artifacts

Chapter 67: Two Women Competing

Huo Lie collapsed in a drunken stupor on the ground, and this happened more than two hours later.

Behind him lay all the men of Huolei Village, every single one of them, flat on their backs, dead drunk.

The crackling bonfire was still burning.

Village Chief Tu Housheng of Earth Element Village sat by the bonfire, adding new firewood to it.

His tall figure sat there cross-legged, with the firelight illuminating only a small part of him.

The rest was engulfed in darkness, turning into a solitary mountain silently guarding everyone.

As a Tier Seven Earth Awakener, as long as Tu Housheng was connected to the land beneath his feet, he could perceive everything happening within a hundred miles.

He sensed the snoring villagers of Flame Village, the residents of Fengbai Village returning to their homes after eating and drinking their fill, and the anxious villagers of Water Village.

Tu Housheng closed his eyes and continued to sense.

Suddenly, he sensed two hurried yet slightly fragmented footsteps.

Fengbai Village.

In the cold, deserted streets where there should have been no one at night, a figure swift as the wind appeared, nimbly leaping over obstacles, twisting and turning, arriving at her destination for this journey.

The wind paused, and Feng Ya materialized from it.

She suddenly turned her head to look to the right of the house's front door.

Feng Ya knitted her beautiful brows slightly, seemingly annoyed as she let out a snort, and said in a low voice, "Come out, how long do you plan to hide? My wind has already discovered you."

The wind leaves no trace, yet it can make everything manifest.

As Feng Ya's voice fell, another graceful female figure slowly solidified near the door on the right.

"So it is you, Village Chief Shui Rou," Feng Ya said, displeasure evident in her eyes, deliberately emphasizing the words "Village Chief."

Despite feeling the hostility emanating from Feng Ya, Shui Rou remained unfazed, first donning her clothes.

Water can accommodate all things, naturally, she wouldn't be deterred by Feng Ya's hostility.

"Is it that you, Village Chief Shui Rou, came here under the cover of Water Concealment Technique, planning to engage in some despicable act?"

"I just ate too much at night and came out to digest," Shui Rou replied calmly, unfazed by Feng Ya's sharp questioning, "And you? Why are you here in the middle of the night if not for a visit?"

Shui Rou was alluding to the recent night that Feng Ya attacked Han Zhan.

Not to be outdone, Feng Ya retorted, full of self-righteousness, "This is Fengbai Village, I'm patrolling in Fengbai Village to prevent any nefarious individuals from emerging!"

As Feng Ya spoke, she glanced at Shui Rou, seemingly insinuating that Shui Rou herself was that nefarious individual!

The once peaceful night air thickened with tension.

Neither woman would concede, locked in a standoff at Han Zhan's door.

Feng Ya took the initiative to provoke.

She deliberately raised her chin, puffing out her chest, provocatively eyeing her opponent.

"If Brother Zhan and I have children in the future, however many we have, they'll never go hungry!"

Indeed, only Feng Ya could make such a claim.

After speaking, Feng Ya proudly and confidently took a few steps closer to Han Zhan's door.

Watching Feng Ya's approach to the door, Shui Rou grew anxious but quickly, employing her sharp mind as the Village Chief of Water Village, spoke up:

"I can use Water Transformation Technique, transforming into warm water flow!"

At first, Feng Ya didn't understand the implications of this statement, but a second later, her face was filled with astonishment.

"How could you utter such words?!" Feng Ya exclaimed, eyes wide in disbelief that such words came from someone as intellectual and coolly beautiful as Shui Rou.

Shui Rou gave no answer to Feng Ya. She, too, moved closer to the door.

"Brother Zhan and I climbed a mountain together and bathed in the mountain's pool!" Feng Ya's tone turned urgent, feeling the pressure Shui Rou exerted on her.

"Lord Han Zhan has feelings for me; he specifically promoted me to Village Chief of Water Village!"

"Brother Zhan…"

"Lord Han Zhan…"

The two went back and forth, neither yielding, causing quite the commotion at Han Zhan's door.

Suddenly, footsteps could be heard coming from inside the house.

The two women exchanged glances, noticing the joy in each other's eyes.

They had intentionally spoken so loudly to ensure Han Zhan heard them. Unlike the people of Flame Village, they were as clear as glass about letting Han Zhan decide who mattered most to him from their conversation!

As the footsteps drew nearer, both Feng Ya and Shui Rou found their hearts racing uncontrollably.

A second later, with a creak, the door opened.

"What are you doing? What are you doing? Not sleeping in the middle of the night, what's the arguing about at the door?"

As the door opened, an irritable Huo Heng emerged from the house.

Seeing who emerged, both women stood there, dumbfounded.

"I finally managed to part the sea. It wasn't easy for me. You two women are bickering at the door; what on earth are you arguing about?"

"What is big or not, what is moist or not, what are you talking about?"

"Women only slow my pace of eating! I will never like you! Let me tell you—"

Before he could finish, a fist landed on each of his eyes in unison.

Huo Heng's vision immediately went black, and he promptly fainted.

...

Outside Fengbai Village, at the mountain altar.

Han Zhan came here alone, the wind on the mountain at night particularly boisterous.

"Let the unconscious Huo Heng rest in my room. I hope he gets a good night's sleep tonight."

With a smile at the corners of his mouth, Han Zhan first glanced at Fengbai Village below. From this angle, the bonfires in Fengbai Village looked like tiny glimmers of light flickering in the dark night, sometimes burning bright, sometimes dim.

He then set his gaze into the distance.

Vast mountain ranges, layer upon layer.

The "water droplets" maintained by Fu Xi's power once again returned to a vast Northern Sea surrounding the entire land.

In the far distance, still shrouded in a mass of black fog, visibility was unclear.

The fog... Upon this thought, Han Zhan lowered his head, looking toward the stone compass in the center of the altar, discovering a peculiar change.

On the compass at this moment, there were a total of three different rotational coordinates, one more than before.

They correspond to "Initial Position," "Old Site of Flame Village," and an "Unknown Land."

A thought stirred in Han Zhan's heart as he grasped the Bone Flute inserted in the compass, slowly rotating it to align the pointer with the third unfamiliar coordinate.

The next second,

Both Han Zhan on the mountain and Tu Housheng below simultaneously turned to face the same direction.

It was the end of the North Sea.

The area previously shrouded in fog revealed itself in the misty night.

A new land as vast as the one Han Zhan stood on appeared!

Above that land, Han Zhan saw the massive gap in the sky, torn by the North Sea Profound Turtle Shell!

At the instant the new continent appeared, Han Zhan felt his connection to the long-lost Nuwa Stone of Shang Siteng strengthen immensely.

An understanding flashed through Han Zhan's mind.

Nuwa, mend the sky!
