The panel appearing before their eyes caused a visible panic among the Awakened.

The last Blood Moon Ceremony left an extremely deep impression on them; these four words meant unpredictability, they meant danger!

Even though numerous analysts and aides had long prepared many contingency plans, this still left everyone uneasy!

Just as everyone was at a loss, a vague figure appeared on the tower.

It raised its hands high, seemingly praying to the blood moon in the sky. At the same time, ambiguous whispers filled their ears. The voice was strange, like an ancient call, or perhaps some kind of obscure spell.

The blood moon in the sky became even more alluring. Suddenly, an Awakened noticed something, pointing towards the tower with a terrified expression: "Everyone, look there!"

At the base of the tower, a large amount of bright red liquid surged out, rapidly spreading around the city!

The city was a semicircular structure, surrounded by dense forests. On the flat side of the semicircle was a cliff, as if split straight by a giant axe.

Beneath the cliff lay an endless sea of blood, with the tower standing at the cliff's edge.

At this moment, influenced by the blood moon in the sky, the sea of blood seemed to be drawn by some gravitational force, becoming increasingly violent!

Wave after wave surged, with some splashes even reaching the cliff, spilling out from behind the tower like blood!

"The sea of blood! The sea of blood is rising fast!"

"At this rate, it won't be long before the entire city is engulfed!"

Almost the moment this fact dawned on them, the entire sea of blood surged like an earthquake, a wave advancing from afar, rising rapidly at a speed visible to the naked eye, finally morphing into a towering hundred-meter-high tsunami!

A crimson barrier rose behind the skyscrapers, the tsunami appearing like a massive wall ready to engulf the entire city!

"Run! Get to higher ground!"

In heart-rending screams, the giant wave crashed down onto the central district!

The concrete buildings at the forefront were shattered almost instantly by the terrifying power of the tsunami, leaving only exposed steel beams. The crimson waves swept along the streets, destroying everything in their path!

Some Awakened couldn't evade in time, swept into the waves. Though their physical constitution provided a chance of survival, to their horror, they discovered the sea of blood pouring into the city was teeming with blood-colored Corpse Demons!

These blood-colored Corpse Demons were extremely emaciated, with fins and dorsal spines like fish. They pounced on the Awakened who fell into the water, frantically tearing at their flesh. A glance revealed the sea was dense with them, impossible to count!

This horrifying scene sent chills down the spines of the Awakened, who desperately ran to higher ground. Everyone knew being swept into this terrifying sea of blood meant certain death!

Yet the tallest building in the entire city...

was only the central tower where the Corpse King resided!

"I see."

Chu Xiu, floating in the air, gazed at the ever-rising sea of blood with a pensive expression.

"Is it trying to force all the Awakened to gather in the central tower this way?"

As this thought crossed his mind, a new panel refreshed before his eyes.

[Blood Moon Ceremony]

[Time Limit: Until the Corpse King is slain or all Awakened are completely dead.]

[Rule One: During the ceremony, the sea of blood will continuously rise, reaching the Corpse King's position in one hour, rising up to 300 meters.]

[Rule Two: During the ceremony, all deaths will count towards points, with higher level granting more points, and the death of Awakened yielding thirteen times the points of same-level Abyss creatures.]

[Rule Three: When the Corpse King contacts the blood tide, it will heal injuries and continuously accumulate points.]

[Rule Four: The Corpse King's power will gradually unlock with points growth. At 50% power unlock, it receives an additional Blessing layer, and at 100%, receives three Blessing layers.]

[Environment: Creatures contacted by the sea of blood will continually suffer soul pollution. The deeper into the sea, the stronger the pollution. The sea of blood contains a large amount of Blood Corpses. Killing them provides no experience or equipment artifacts but can delay the sea's rise.]

[Rewards: Causing a certain amount of damage to the Corpse King will reward with Cause and Effect Points. Causing over 30% damage as an individual earns extra rewards, over 50% earns advanced rewards, and over 70% earns ultimate rewards.]

Realizing the Blood Moon Ceremony rules, Chu Xiu understood fully.

In fact, if Chu Xiu were to be removed from this world-conquering mission, things would suddenly make sense.

Under normal progression, the Awakened should have already cleared ordinary Fierce Tier, beginning to deal with three Elite Fierce Tiers.

With nearly three days left until the mission ends, given the large population led by these three Elite Fierce Tiers, the best plan was to spend two days slowly luring and clearing them.

But obviously, the Abyss didn't want the Awakened to treat it like a game, gradually dissecting the unintelligent, stationary corpse hordes.

Thus came the Blood Moon Ceremony!

The "sea of blood" environment clearly wasn't designed to leave any path for survival. It not only had a massive amount of Blood Corpses, but simply contacting the sea led to soul pollution. Falling in virtually meant certain death!
