Chapter 128: There Is a Super Beast Hidden in Everyone's Heart

"Super Iron Curtain Federation, our homeland.

Prosperity, prosperity, peace, freedom, democracy...

We have established a large number of friendly and peaceful diplomatic relations with other civilizations, receiving praise from all.

But suddenly...

'Roar!' The roar of dozens of meters high giant monsters broke the tranquility, our allies were attacked by giant beasts, the world fell apart, the cries of children, the sinister laughter of conspirators.

Do you see? Such horrific incidents are happening to our allies, and they may soon appear beside us.

Join us, join the Hell Vanguard Army, and save our allies in distress, bringing them freedom and democracy.

Complete the transformation of loyalty and gain superhuman strength.

Pilot the Magical Motive Armor – Demon God, capture the most precious Cosmic Monsters.

Reforge the glory of the Iron Curtain, it is our unshakable duty!"

Passionate advertisements began playing in various regions, mobilizing the entire civilization for war at an alarming speed. Meanwhile, vanguard troops in addition to the main army were dispatched to explore and investigate planets.

On the internet, everyone was filled with righteous indignation.

"We must save our allies and bring them the great capitalist democracy!"

"I want to pilot the Demon God; I want to become a member of the Hell Vanguard Army!"

"Push, push, push, for the Super Iron Curtain, for loyalty!"

"Everyone, don't be deceived. I was a giant beast biological scientist. The Super Iron Curtain had secretly researched the technology of beast gigantification and succeeded. Those monsters might have originally been deployed by the Super Iron Curtain..." (This comment was suspected of treason and was deleted by the Department of Loyalty. The sender is under democratic investigation.)

...

Thus, the entire civilization was mobilized to its maximum extent, everyone filled with vigor for avenging their allies.

The focus of recruitment was primarily on the Hell Vanguard Army and Magical Motive Armor pilots.

The Hell Vanguard Army comprised warriors infused with a large amount of Soul Energy, able to rapidly achieve Mythic Level, although they were the weakest in Tier Four and could be killed by slightly more capable Tier Three. Moreover, they could never advance further in their lifetime.

However, they could be mass-produced!

On average, one out of fifty people could become a qualified member of the Hell Vanguard Army, while the failed forty-nine could be fed into the Magical Motive Armor as Energy Blocks, not to be wasted.

The Magical Motive Armor, on the other hand, was the ultimate crystallization of magic and technology, a nearly hundred-meter-tall super humanoid mecha. Any qualified operator who could properly utilize its power could reach the upper middle of the Mythic Level.

Although training pilots for the Magical Motive Armor was difficult, simply implanting memories could produce a basic pilot; approximately one in several hundred would be qualified through memory implantation. The failed ones became fools, unfit for democracy, and were conveniently thrown into the furnace.

Similarly, these mechas, capable of exerting upper-middle Mythic Level combat power, could also be mass-produced!

With such methods, they could recruit enough troops in one day to completely occupy an entire planet, and then just needed to confine those giant beasts, which served as endless nuclear energy production machines, and ultimate surplus value energy mines.

With specific modifications, those giant beasts could be turned into biological weapons for the most dangerous, high-casualty missions or valuable cosmic commodities and slaves to be sold across other civilizations.

Standing on the command platform, the commander proudly looked at the endless Mythic Level Hell Vanguard Army beneath him, and rows of Magical Motive Armors that resembled demons and gods.

In addition to their outstanding military achievements and the prospect of becoming the next presidential candidate, he couldn't help but feel elated.

"Gentlemen, in this war, we are righteous and are avenging our allies!"

"Likewise, to spread capitalist democracy throughout the cosmos!"

"To spread capitalist freedom to other civilizations!"

"We are the vanguard warriors of freedom, the great Hell Vanguard Army, not hesitating to crush a billion comrades under iron!"

"Make the Super Iron Curtain great again!"

"Loyalty!" The commander extended his left hand.

Everyone below extended their left hand in unison, shouting loudly, their voices forming an ocean: "Loy! alty!"

...

The Super Beast King died, but the endless disaster it brought turned half the Imperial Capital into ruins.

Survivors found hope in the ruins, beginning to rebuild shelters one by one for people to rest.

However, unlike before, there was a giant beast helping among the people rebuilding, and now people no longer feared the beast. Instead, every time they came to its side, they would bow slightly.

Perhaps they wanted to bow to another giant beast, but it could never appear again, just like that Monarch who could never return.

The disaster had ended, and the student of that Monarch fully published the Magic Ring System. Within just a day, various city-states successfully saw individuals replicating the Magic Ring System, realizing the endpoint of this system.

To completely transform into a Giant Beast!

Moreover, this transformation into a Giant Beast wasn't a one-time use that disappeared after death. An accidental experiment revealed that this Magic Ring could continue to be inherited by individuals with the same bloodline after death, while those with different bloodlines couldn't obtain it. The power of the Giant Beast could be partially passed on to descendants.

This was the core ability that crushed the old system.

However, the time was too short, and no one else had successfully reached the point of being able to transform into a Giant Beast. But they all saw hope, just like when a Great Sage brought the Spiritual Ability System to the world thousands of years ago and ensured humanity continued to progress through that dark and primitive era for millennia.

This brand new Magic Ring System would allow humanity to continue advancing, even faster than Giant Beasts evolve, because the stronger the Giant Beast, the stronger the Magic Ring created.

If this development continued, perhaps in just a few hundred years, humanity might not have to fear Giant Beasts but could coexist peacefully with them, progressing together and becoming partners in a new world, creating a world like a realm of Giant Beast Pokémon.

Although in the past, humans and Giant Beasts harbored endless hatred towards each other, under the new Magic Ring System, where humanity must rely on Giant Beasts to become stronger, all hatred and history must make way for benefits.

This is the eternal truth.

Some even began to propose that since this generation of the royal family had been completely wiped out, a new royal family needed to be chosen to deal with these millennium-altering changes, and the former royal families, due to the Super Beast King incident, were no longer welcomed.

So they turned their eyes to the founder of this Magic Ring System, with the thought of dressing a new Emperor in a Yellow Robe as the weather grew cold...

Unfortunately, the three little ones had no such intention for the time being. Perhaps in the future, Cloud Star might sit on that golden throne and truly have the realization of bearing the world on his shoulders.

For now, however, they were all still immersed in the past. Although they remained in contact, it seemed their relationships had dispersed, with everyone growing up, moving forward to find their own future. Yet occasionally, the memories of their initial encounters brought a touch of melancholy.

But now, Cloud Star only wanted to fulfill the teacher's dying wish, waiting for his return.

While everyone was busy, Ronald made a dream.

Once upon a time, he too suffered from endless nightmares... only by closely following that person could he be sure he was alive, and not just an existence under a soulless shell.

Since acquiring the Magic Ring and after revealing matters with his fiancée, he hadn't had that nightmare again, of appearing as a Demon in the lab, enduring endless pain.

Yet today, he seemed to return to seven years ago.

That scene, appearing countless times in nightmares, that inflicted pain and torment on him, where individuals strapped him to restraint bands, calling him "subject zero," and injected serum after serum into his veins.

Endless pain swept over him like a tide, merging scenes of watching his teacher being tortured, unsure if these were memories from seven years ago or the pain felt yesterday, watching his teacher's heartbeat slowly reach zero amid the torture.

However, after infinite pain, he opened his eyes to see a sunset.

At the end of the wilderness, the sunset's afterglow fell upon a dragon-like Giant Beast's scales, its metallic luster reflecting dazzling Light.

The Giant Beast radiated an aura of a Monarch, its presence so distinct and undeniable even under the glow of the setting sun. Each metal-lustrous scale resembled a meticulously crafted piece of art, reflecting the unyielding rage after endless battles.

Deep down, everyone harbors a monster, though it may remain eternally caged. Once the monster breaks free, it will unleash the most terrifying power.

Now, Ronald saw that monster.

The monster opened its eyes, locking gaze under the setting sun.

"Zero, Super Beast!"

Ronald murmured the name of this Super Beast, the monster that destroyed his hometown, killed his father and mother, and once destroyed everything he had.

He had once loathed this Giant Beast with every fiber, but could only think in his heart, lacking even the fury and courage that Cloud Star had.

But later, it was the power from his most respected teacher; that Super Beast blocked the attack of hundreds of Giant Beasts, held back the most terrifying Super Beast King, and under that burnt sky, its self-detonation also killed the Super Beast King.

It was a hero to the world, yet the teacher was gone, and he didn't know if Cloud Star's words were mere solace, only knowing that, in his mind, the teacher was gone, never to return.

Yet now, within himself, he saw that Zero Super Beast, descending from the sky, angry and fierce, looking at him like a devil about to break free from its cage.

Indeed, everyone harbors a devil in their hearts; happiness and hope as its prison. When everything turns to illusions, the devil will break free, singing a bloody hymn, and at that time, the despairing become unstoppable.

"A contract?" the devil voiced.

"What, a contract?"

"You can use my power, but each use permanently reduces your life by a quarter. When your life finally reaches zero, I will completely take over your body."
