My Weekly Refreshing Mentor Spirit

Chapter 139: How Dare You Invade Blue Star You Arrogant Hick

The dog and Uncle Wang headed home together. As they left, the dog kept barking nastily at Xue Dili, clearly holding a grudge. From now on, who knows, it might bark at him every time he passes by Uncle Wang's house.

"Woof woof woof, you just wait! Woof woof woof!"

The dog's barking gradually faded into the distance, leaving Xue Dili in a daze.

Wait a minute, did it just talk?

Xue Dili immediately wanted to catch it again, but thought it wouldn't be right to mess with a dog. Doesn't Uncle Li next door have a cat?

So quickly, Xue Dili picked up the neighbor's tabby cat, pointed at its nose, and said, "Communication Skill, speak to me!"

"Transformation Technique, transform for me!"

"Hurry up and transform!"

Tabby cat: "???"

...

While Xue Dili was racking his brains learning fairy tale magic, the old man in the Consciousness Space was watching Ultraman with its beasts, airplanes, and monsters...

There were too many things he couldn't wrap his head around, yet he habitually got lost in the story, staring at this fantastical world.

"What a bizarre world," Xue Dili and the old man simultaneously exclaimed.

A day quietly passed by like this, which was also Xue Dili's last day off. He hadn't imagined that he would spend most of it by his doorstep using the Transformation Technique on that tabby cat.

The tabby cat had fallen asleep, and the Transformation Technique still showed no effect.

"What is this? Is fairy tale magic not compatible with my world, or was that dog talking just my imagination?" Looking at the little notebook with all the magic spells documented, Xue Dili truly felt it might be the case.

Fairy tale world magic was too hard. He'd better focus on developing the Ultimate Beheading Blade and the Sky-splitting Beheading Blade after the Beheading Blade. That seemed more realistic.

The mainstream magic he used was still adapted from the undead's Divine Art. He loved Light Magic, and some magic spells served functional and supportive roles, like the Teleportation Gate. He now counted as someone who could conjure a Teleportation Gate with his bare hands.

As for fairy tale magic, he really seemed to have no talent there.

"Things have come to this, let's eat first." said Xue Dili as he looked up at the dark sky.

The tabby cat was still napping at the doorstep, making Xue Dili annoyed. For the first time, he had spent half a day without learning any magic. Before, he instantly picked up whatever he studied, be it academics, swordsmanship, or magic.

He gave the tabby cat's head a firm flick, letting it go only after it cried out in pain.

The tabby cat's curses were harsh, and Xue Dili wandered off out of the village, towards the shopping street across the way.

Xuejia Bridge was strange: the village entrance was a subway exit, with a bustling shopping street across the way.

He could feel the stark difference between rural and urban with just a few steps.

Just a little further ahead was the most prosperous CBD area, home to large department stores and big commercial centers.

This area counted as a new city, but because it's near Ke University, it's getting more and more prosperous.

In a few years, Xuejia Bridge might be entirely demolished and replaced with new residential areas.

"Junior!" Suddenly, a familiar voice called from afar.

Xue Dili blankly looked at the crowd in the square, filled with deafening square dancing. He didn't know who was calling him.

Next thing he felt was a gentle elbow, and then saw a familiar senior carrying a bass, greeting him.

"Senior Lian Shan?" Xue Dili asked in confusion. He'd experienced a lot recently, so he tended to forget minor things. But seeing this senior's face, he remembered her as the "H" level senior Uncle Brave mentioned.

That was his only impression, and he hoped he hadn't gotten her name wrong.

"Wow, I'm so touched you remember my name, junior." The senior wore a loose jacket with a skirt underneath, a bit mismatched. Her fashion sense reminded Xue Dili of that scrawny kid, Ronald.

"Junior, you took a long leave again, were you filming?" The senior handed him a can of Coke, and Xue Dili accepted it a bit awkwardly.

"Sort of. Senior, what are you all doing?" He looked toward where the senior came from. There were many young women seemingly packing up their instruments, happily chatting together.

A girls' band? How could Xue Dili see such a thing in real life? Are you forming a lifelong band too?

"Hahaha, a lot of us in the literary club like instruments, so we have a small band. We've always been in the New Year's Eve show. Today, a few seniors came to the square for practice and to earn some pocket money," laughed the senior, pointing over there.

Xue Dili saw quite a few people watching, some scanning codes to tip, and then the band's vocalist thanking and taking song requests.

Female university students seem to have quite a rich extracurricular life.

Meanwhile, the male university students are probably in the dorm, fighting bravely. Either placing a bomb at B point or catching prey at level 3.

"Let's chat later, senior. I'm off to dinner." Xue Dili waved his hand, courteously saying goodbye.

"Okay, see you at school. I'm looking forward to your next movie." The senior waved back.

Xue Dili displayed an awkward but polite smile.

And when Lian Shan returned to the band, many of the senior girls looked at Xue Dili with dreamy eyes.

"Lian Shan, is he your boyfriend?" the drummer immediately asked.

"Not... not yet... He's a freshman junior, we've only met a few times."

Instantly, the others' eyes lit up, even those with boyfriends wanted to kick them away, let alone the single ones, some even boldly ran over to ask Xue Dili for his WeChat.

From a distance, as Xue Dili walked into the noodle shop, he nearly bumped into a senior girl, he gave a deadpan look and politely declined the her invitation and WeChat.

Ah, youth.

...

And just as Xue Dili was dodging the senior girls, while in the Consciousness Space the old man kept watching Ultraman.

In a distant forest, the trees stood tall and robust, their branches intertwining to form a natural canopy, with moonlight filtering through the sparse treetops, casting mottled shadows.

This was a part of the Death Forest in the East University, attracting countless fearless tourists with its primitive twisted mountain and forest landscape. Accidents happened every year, but visitors still came unceasingly.

Within this primordial forest, a Teleportation Gate quietly opened, from which emerged a Heavy Knight holding a Large Shield.

"Princess Elena, the world here is temporarily safe, we seem to have been saved." The Heavy Knight sighed in relief. Then, several Light Knights, an elderly white-haired man, and a beautiful Princess followed out of the Teleportation Gate.

"Where is this place?" The Princess looked naively at the primitive jungle, seemingly scared of the unfamiliar environment. Her kingdom had just been occupied by a giant dragon, the Royal Capital destroyed by thorns and flowers, leaving only her knights and mages to escape.

Now, she felt lost, not knowing what to do in this world.

"Her Highness the Princess, we don't know where we teleported to either, but we should first investigate this realm, then conquer a few farms to restore the kingdom!" The Knight Commander said righteously.

"Restore the kingdom?"

"Yes, Her Highness. The Witch cursed our country, both the King and Queen are imprisoned by thorns deep in the Royal Palace, and the Witch released a giant dragon. At last, we only managed to escape with you, the only one unaffected." The Knight Commander spoke sadly.

He knelt on one knee, followed by the Light Knights, who said, "Her Highness the Princess, we hope you can restore the kingdom here, gather enough power to deal with the Witch, and return to the Silver Country to rescue the King and Queen!"

"In this life, we pledge our allegiance to you."

Several knights began to swear.

The old mage looked at the world, then grabbed a forest squirrel, chanting, "Little furry sprite, take us to the nearest village!"

"Okay... okay..." The squirrel reluctantly spoke, having been subdued by these Otherworldly people, leading them to the nearest village. But as if gaining wisdom, it bargained, "But I want 10 pine cones as a reward!"

Mage: "..."

Inherently evil Otherworld, even the little sprites are so greedy.

He had no choice but to agree to the squirrel's demands, and the squirrel led them towards the edge of the forest.

Along the way, they discussed their plans, prioritizing the conquest of nearby farms, building a Royal Palace and walls there, and founding a nation. If there was a powerful Sovereign Country nearby, they could first offer tribute and become a tributary state.

It was all for the restoration of their kingdom, to return home and save the Silver Country covered by thorns and floral fragrance.

They believed that even if this world had Sovereign Countries, they would likely welcome the allegiance of a princess in exile, and once they became a tributary state, they would have a chance!

This was the limited thinking of people from their era.

Throughout the night, feeling as if they'd walked hundreds of miles, the Princess couldn't withstand it and the mage captured a deer. With a little added intelligence and a pound of rose leaves, the deer reluctantly agreed to carry the Princess through the forest.

At dawn, they saw a village far off, shocked to find that the small farmhouses here were made of stone (cement brick and stone walls) and built universally three to four stories high.

And they saw villagers wearing silk, well nourished, with rice fields growing as tall as a person, the bountiful grains bending the stalks with their weight, leaving them astonished yet again.

"Her Highness the Princess, good news, these farms are very affluent, we can maximize our strength and recruit militia." The Knight Commander was very excited, feeling his heart racing uncontrollably.

"Yes, yes, let's proceed with the plan, conquer the nearby farms and restore the kingdom," said the Princess.

"Yes, my Princess!" The knights were already prepared.

...

Just after editing the "Celestial Thunder Record - Special Chapter", Xue Dili was ready to go back to sleep.

Suddenly, the World Consciousness informed him.

"Child, there are unknown intruders from other worlds, go take a look for me..."

Xue Dili: "..."

So there really are Otherworldly people coming to Blue Star through a Teleportation Gate!

There are actually Otherworldly people daring to invade Blue Star? You are bolder than the Super Iron Curtain! You are a thumb.

With dark circles under his eyes, full of anger he couldn't vent, he searched for the coordinates given by the World Consciousness.

Damn, they've underestimated us! How dare they invade Blue Star, such arrogant fellows, don't they know Blue Star has me, the undefeated guardian below Tier Five? Otherworldly bumpkins!
