My Life with Narration

Chapter 103: Something Happens to Su He

As a self-made company boss, Shen Yi has a purpose and plan for everything she does.

Kicking him out of his original house was the first step. Arranging a new place for him was the second. Bringing him and his dog into her company was the third. The next step, the fourth, was to become his neighbor.

Today, she deliberately left Su Qing to work overtime, and then they drove back together, so she could familiarize herself with his address. Even though she already knew it, it was all for show. Then she casually mentioned wanting to find a place near the company, so when she moved in later, it wouldn't seem abrupt or deliberate.

She would even have Su Qing actively push Wen Nanqing's contact information to her, so she could make her move naturally.

This is the mind of a leader. Everything is interconnected, making it hard for others to feel repulsed, yet it appears effortless.

Once Su Qing left, Shen Yi drove around the neighborhood, entered through the back gate, and went straight back to Wen Nanqing's home.

This process needs to have its course; she didn't want any unforeseen complications.

"Are you stupid? You got the wrong interview location. I'm on the fourth floor."

On the sofa in the living room, Su Qing was holding up his phone, video chatting with Wang Xing. As for Dahuang, the dog had already dived into its bed upon returning home and refused to come out.

"Damn, how would I know? You didn't tell me. I was busy the moment I got into the company today and didn't even notice you weren't there. Now what do I do?" At this point, Wang Xing was also bewildered.

He thought he could work at Shen Yi's company and be colleagues with his good friend. But now, it seems like they're at opposite ends of the Yangtze River.

"What else can you do? If that's how it is, just do your best. You're earning money wherever you work anyway, and it's all in the same building," Su Qing sighed.

Not being in the same company might be a good thing. Perhaps Wang Xing would find it more suitable there. Besides, if it doesn't work out later on, he can always come over here; it's like having a backup plan.

"Though you say that, I was just hoping you could put in a good word for me, but it's clear I can't rely on you," Wang Xing said disappointedly, secretly cursing his boss. Of all surnames to choose from, why choose Shen?

"Give it a rest. I didn't even get paid for my overtime today, and you're dreaming about being comfortable. Wake up. In sales, it's all about performance. As long as you have the ability, you can live large anywhere," Su Qing glared at him.

Always daydreaming. You haven't even achieved anything yet, and your family is already acting like they've hit the big time. Think again.

At that moment, a tall figure appeared on the other end of the video. It was Wang Xing's girlfriend, Jiang Mengting, who had just come out of the bathroom wrapped in a white towel, her shoulders and thighs boldly exposed.

"Darling, who are you video chatting with? Let me see!" She said as she leaned over.

[The sea queen turned tea ceremony master knows who her boyfriend is video chatting with; she came over on purpose, aiming to catch your attention and make you one of the fishes in her pond.]

Hearing this narration in his head, Su Qing squinted his eyes. This woman was indeed no easy task.

The last time, before he left, she had slipped him a note with her number on it when Wang Xing wasn't looking, but Su Qing never contacted her. He had thrown the note away long ago.

He thought his refusal was obvious enough, but he hadn't expected her to be so persistent. No wonder she's the type to start a fish pond.

Just finishing a shower and only wrapped in a towel—no man would stay calm in this situation. It's a sophisticated psychological hint.

He's friends with Wang Xing, and since it was a video chat between two men, she just pretended to accidentally join in, with her boyfriend right there. Wang Xing had nothing to say under these circumstances, but she still achieved her goal.

The next second, the video shook.

"It's Qingzi. Honey, get dressed quickly."

Then, shifting the camera away, Wang Xing smiled at Su Qing and said, "Sorry, brother. This isn't something for you single dogs to see, considering I have a wife."

"Alright, I'm hanging up. I've got some business to handle now, woohoo~"

The video was cut off, and on the other end, Su Qing, looking at his phone, felt an urge to curse:

"Damn, you really are something, trying to mess with my feelings like this?"

The old saying goes, at home, you rely on parents; outside, you rely on friends. But in his case, at home, his parents aren't enough, and now his friends outside are making it worse. What, is being single a crime?

Alright, maybe it is a crime. If not, why did Old Wang mock him for being single back then because he had a wife?

But getting force-fed dog food is truly annoying. How to describe it?

It's like being a dog on the roadside and suddenly getting kicked.

He quietly cursed, "May lapdogs get what they deserve."

After hanging up the call, he sat down at his computer to organize materials for tomorrow, knowing he couldn't slack off at work.

Halfway through, he suddenly received a call from Su He.

"Bro, I'm at Douhua KTV on the pedestrian street. Come over quick, someone isn't letting me leave."

Su He's panicked voice came through the phone. Hearing this, Su Qing jumped up and hastily asked:

"What's wrong? What happened?"

"Forget it, just share your location. I'm on my way."

Saying that, he put on his shoes and rushed out the door.

[Your dramatic sister got into trouble during a class reunion and is being held at Douhua KTV's third-floor private room. Fortunately, there are male classmates present, so there's no immediate danger, but students can't fend off the riffraff. Please hurry, or the consequences will be severe.]

Hearing the narration in his head, Su Qing grew increasingly anxious but also puzzled. Who would want to retaliate against a recently graduated student like Su He?

This wasn't the time to dwell on it. He quickly reassured her:

"Don't be afraid. I'm on my way. Did you call the police?"

"No... I didn't," Su He stammered.

Hearing this, Su Qing felt like smacking her over the head. She's old enough not to call the police in this situation.

"Bro, I broke one of their heads... I..."

Upon hearing this, Su Qing was speechless. So that's why she didn't call.

But really, facing this situation as a recently graduated young woman, who wouldn't panic?

"Hold tight, I'm almost there."

He took a cab and arrived at the KTV's location in less than twenty minutes, only to spot a familiar face as soon as he stepped out.

"Sister Jun? What are you doing here?"

"Xiaohe called me, said she was in trouble. You came too?"

[The overly dramatic sister didn't fully trust your capabilities, so she called Sister Jun, a police officer, for protection.]

Su Qing: ...

Well, at least his sister wasn't entirely clueless.
