My Life with Narration

Chapter 105: Conflict

Messing with cops, getting handcuffed, squatting in a cell, all these memories immediately jolted Yang Dayong awake.

The detention center in the police station housed all sorts of people, those who couldn't stop stealing petty things, and those who got into fights and acted like they weren't afraid of anything. Although entering the detention center couldn't be said to be a regular occurrence, it was almost that way.

Even in a prosperous city like Jiang City, it was unavoidable.

You don't usually see these kinds of people because you haven't mingled in their circles, but the police's job is to deal with these people, so they're used to it.

This can be seen from how Yang Dayong referred to Li Zijun as 'Li Head'.

Any ruffians who had offended her would receive special attention if they ended up in the detention center.

Obviously, Yang Dayong had received this special attention before, so when he saw it was Li Zijun, his attitude immediately underwent a 180-degree change.

Unless he wanted to become a fugitive, acting tough and taking action, then making a run for it, he dared not mess with the police, an institution like the government that most people don't dare to defy.

Yang Dayong and his group were all young, in their twenties, the youngest being just in their teens, aimlessly idling around, without jobs, making a little dough through shady ways.

Simply put, they didn't want to work but still wanted to enjoy life, and the oldest among them, Yang Dayong, was only twenty-seven, considered the leader of this group.

"Damn you, stop it!"

In a private room, Yang Dayong kicked over a younger minion who was swinging punches, while Li Zijun and Su Qing also walked in from the door.

Since Li Zijun revealed her identity, Yang Dayong's group didn't dare to be arrogant anymore, behaving as meekly as mice seeing a cat.

The minion kicked over saw his boss enter and receive a kick himself, naturally realizing something was wrong, and hurriedly backed to the side.

Su Qing looked inside, the private room was large, containing nearly twenty half-grown boys and girls.

About ten boys stood in the front, many with injured faces, clearly having been in a scuffle, broken glass all over the floor, a complete mess.

In the far corner, a group of young girls huddled together, occasionally screaming, clearly frightened.

"Su He, are you there?" Su Qing quickly stepped forward and shouted, causing the injured boys at the front to hesitate but not move, fearing he was on Yang Dayong's side. Clearly, the conflict was not small and they hadn't recovered yet.

"Brother, I'm here!"

Soon, Su He's slightly panicked voice came from inside, followed by a petite figure squeezing out from the back of the crowd.

Upon seeing him and Li Zijun behind him, the girl couldn't hold back anymore, bursting into tears and rushing into his arms.

"Wow~ Brother, you're here."

Soon Su Qing felt a wet patch on his chest, and he patted her back, nodding to the boys from Su He's class.

Despite their young age, these boys, facing societal riffraff, at least didn't back down, even if they were beaten up.

"Are you okay?" Su Qing asked, holding Su He's shoulders.

Su He in his arms shook her head, saying nothing.

Su Qing nodded and then turned to Yang Dayong's group behind:

"What's going on? Let's hear it from everyone."

As he spoke, he handed Su He to Li Zijun, deciding to solve the issue himself, his face immediately turning icy.

Intentional revenge meant the conflict wasn't accidental but deliberate. If it were accidental, it could have ended here, but now, without understanding clearly, he couldn't rest easy, especially since it targeted his sister.

"It's all a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding. We brothers drank too much, we apologize to everyone, Li Head, you see nothing much happened, shall we just drop it?" Yang Dayong hurried to explain.

Hearing this, Li Zijun glanced around and then whispered in his ear:

"This guy's a scoundrel, nothing big happened today, even if I detain them, they'd be out in a few days given the circumstances. Besides, if we really lock them up, it was a brawl. These kids also fought back."

It's clear, no serious injuries occurred, just superficial ones. One side being recent graduates complicates the matter.

If the process goes official, it becomes a brawl case, and in a lawful society, things get complex once formal procedures begin.

Su Qing nodded, indicating understanding, then turned to Su Qing's classmates to ask:

"Who's the class monitor or organizer?"

Usually, such gatherings are organized by the class monitor or a prominent figure in the class, someone to contact and collect money for the event.

"Brother, I am, what's up?" A tall, thin boy stepped forth, bruise on his face, previously at the front, named Zhou Peng.

Seeing the fear of Su He's brother and Li Zijun by the opposite group, he seemed relieved, speaking respectfully, understanding that despite being a big shot at school, they're still students.

"Tell me, what's happening?" Su Qing asked.

He didn't believe Yang Dayong's words; the matter must be resolved, especially with revenge in play, it couldn't end easily.

"Here's what happened, brother," Zhou Peng began to explain how Su He had gone to the bathroom, bumping into someone by accident, leading to an altercation, followed by Yang Dayong's group barging into their room aggressively.

Someone tried to assault Su He, prompting her to smash a wine bottle on the offender's head, escalating into physical conflict.

Seeing the nod from Su He, held by Li Zijun, Su Qing understood the situation.

"Where is he?" Su Qing asked Yang Dayong.

In response, Yang Dayong quickly said, "Brother, I'm sorry, really sorry. Gangzi, apologize quickly."

He dragged out the minion he'd kicked earlier, about the same age as Su Qing, with a tattooed arm, some blood on his forehead, and stains on his clothes.

"Brother... so..."

Before he could speak, Su Qing laughed and asked, "Your head okay?"

"Ah? Yes... it's fine, not too bad."

But the next second, a wine bottle smashed on his head with a crash.

"Tell me, who sent you!"
